Excellent intro music... easy listening, especially nice knowing you created it yourself. With "no room for error" on the leather top, I'd be taking it to a specialist such as yourself... error is my middle name. 😅Thank you for sharing all your incredible talents with us, Ahti. Cheers from Canada ☕
Once again, a brilliant transformation! That green leather is so much better than the original faux stuff! Wishing you a Merry Christmas from Virginia, USA!!
I really like that design aesthetic. And it's nice to see how a leather top is installed. Excellent work and video, as usual. Super good work and results.
Oh, that was beautiful! And trimming the leather was just seriously clever. So well done! Also loved getting the plywood just exactly right - pretty dang impressive. Thank you so much for posting!
I like the style of the desk. I thought it looked pretty good, then you showed us all the damage. Looked very good after you fixed all the problems. Thank you.
It may be a small and simple desk, but from what I've seen in the clip it was well worth restoring. My father worked in a bank with furniture from the previous century at that time (that's from before 1900), they had larger but otherwise similarly built desks - locked doors with drawers behind them, everything made of massive wood, no plywood, no plyboard, just massive wood - mostly hardwood. Such desks, with proper maintenance, don't last a lifetime, they last forever. The music is fine, but I still like your piece "Reunion of Souls" more. Oh, and since it's the season: merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your loved ones 🙂
Saddle soap works wonders on making leather look good. Leather covered desks were executive desks back in the day. They go in and out of fashion. From the look of original top I would say this wasn’t originally leather covered only because of the glue they used plus the putty.
Just curious... could you have left enough leather on the edges to do a wrap around the replacement plywood section... just curious if that would have been an option... nice job. Beautiful as usual.
I had to laugh a bit at the soght of all those clamps around the edge of the table at 5:54---it looked like a bord meeting of the Yellow C-Clamp Society: "You're probably all wondering why I called you here today..." Desk turned out beautiful.
I wish I lived closer to you - I'd like to apply to be your apprentice. Very nicely done. How many coats of shellac do you normaly put on a piece like this one?
I find that hot hide glue is really good for gluing leather to wood. Have you tried it or did you just find that that wallpaper glue worked well enough and stopped looking?
Comment to bump the algorithm. The music is okay as long as it is played only on the intro & outro. I prefer for the bulk of the video to have only the sounds of the work being done. Edit: Like many of the other commenters, I do prefer the music that you used before. However, I don't actively hate the new music. Maybe use one at the intro & one at the outro? Best of both worlds?
Ahti i have a question. Around 6:37 you show a stain in the bottom of a drawer. You sand down the stain. I'm wondering if there is a reason you don't flip the wood over to the unstained side? I ask because I've seen you use hydrogen peroxide in other videos to whiten stains and i just wondered if there's a reason you don't flip the wood. ❤ P.S. You are so accurate with the repair wax it's crazy good 🤯
How do you like this intro music?
Nice but the old music was cooler somehow. 🤷🏼♀️
❤ love your choise of music. 👍😃
It’s nice.
Maybe next time you can use the music from "Beyond the Structure", an Estonian band from Tallinn, formed in 2012😜

Visiting Ahti's Workshop was the European Convention of Clamps.
👏👏👏
Like the new intro. Missed the old intro. Very handsome desk. The green leather is perfect. Don't change the outro music please.
To be fair, it was a good 7/10 piece of furniture to begin with, but you rixed it to 11/10. ❤
Once again, a brilliant transformation! That green leather is so much better than the original faux stuff!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas from Virginia, USA!!
Much awaited, much appreciated looking forward to excellent work as always from you.
You have mad skills. The top was executed so well
Very lovely little piece! And wonderful work and results as always. It’s such a pleasure to watch you work. Thank you! 💕🇨🇦

Thank you so much for posting!
That was the most efficient repair wax technique of all the internets.
A masterful work! So nice soundtrack! Bravo!!!
such a nice desk glad to se it get a new lease of life
Good job as always! Thank you!
Beautiful job!
Какая красивая мебель. Таким столом теперь редко кто пользуется, увы. Новая жизнь. Счастливая.
Music is on point. Another amazing job.
Great results
I like the style of the desk. I thought it looked pretty good, then you showed us all the damage. Looked very good after you fixed all the problems. Thank you.
Wonderful! "No thank you - I already have enough clamps." said no woodworker ever!
Music: sort of ambient space, relaxing. But the previous intro was also nice, kind of techno hypnotic.
What a beautiful little desk!! It looks so happy to go back to work!!❤
Little? It looked pretty large and impressive to me!
Wow, Ahti, that was gorgeous.
Looks great! It’s crazy how a close up can so show so much to be done! Love the music! ❤😊❤
Beautiful tutorial. Especially the leather installation. Incredible skills and knowledge. Thank you from the Oregon coast.
Now it's beautiful and sturdy! Well done and a joy to watch happen.
Love the green leather with the oak!
I have always liked how oak and green go together. Beautiful work
You're a wood working wonder. Thank you for sharing.
I love the old intro music
Your restoration is great
Love all the music you select but this one was excellent!
Only you could restore the desk to better than it was to begin with. Merry Christmas from Oregon, USA, Ahti.
Intro music is fine😊
Lovely job ❤
Great result! Merry Xmas.
A very proficient restoration. You are a true craftsman.
What a beautiful piece! Merry Christmas!
Love the desk. Your skills are as usual impressive. The music seemed to work well with the project.
So well-achieved...and the musical content is a delight...not intrusive...thank you Ahti...dgp/uk
Beautiful restoration mister beautifully restored good job well done

Very beautiful. Ready for many more years of use.
Beautiful
Always a pleasure to watch your skilled craftsmanship
Рискованный конечно проект в части замены кожи, но вышло изумительно. Спасибо за видео!
How do I keep missing these videos when they’re brand new lol 17 hours later it shows up on my feed 😂
Californa here sending Seasons Greetings to you and your family.
You are amazing!! I like the new intro music and the ending music.
Shellac makes that old oak glow. Beautiful job! Have a Blessed Christmas and joyful New Year!
Работа выполнена с душой. Итог прекрасный. Лайкаю🙏.
Stunning work, as always 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
У меня есть примерно такой же стол. И даже советский паяльник тоже точно такой же есть.
Поэтому смотреть данное видео становится особенно интересно.
It’s calming and fits what you do.
beautiful piece, beautifully restored
Beautiful! You are a true artist!
Beautiful work.
I like the green leather.
Beautiful! I want that desk in my house!
Great restoration. Getting that faux leather off looked like a nightmare for you!
Anti, Wishing you and your family Merry Christmas and a happy ,healthy new year. From Iowa (USA) LOVE watching a master craftsman 😊
Been there, done that with white paint in pores under sloppy new "finish" varnish; glad you could remove the plate and border

Beautiful job!❤
Excellent. Well done.
2:05 I was expecting the leather to get the biggest middle finger as he threw it down 😂😂
Just curious... could you have left enough leather on the edges to do a wrap around the replacement plywood section... just curious if that would have been an option... nice job. Beautiful as usual.

I prefer your other music! Excellent job as always!!
Woow Very good! Is Beautiful Job 👏👏
Looks great. ❤
👏👏👏 Bravo maestro!!!
I wish I lived closer to you - I'd like to apply to be your apprentice. Very nicely done. How many coats of shellac do you normaly put on a piece like this one?
Great job! Music is fine but for me I would prefer just the shop sounds.
Ficou muito bom, parabéns
Wow looks great!!
Why didn't you wrap the leather around the edges of the birch plate? Now the edge of the leather is visible and touchable.
Next time, try super cold dry ice for removing glue. It makes it brittle
I kind of wish he tried to save the old wood from the top but oh well still pretty darn cool
Very Nice...❤
Great! 👍
I somewhere hear the previous restorer saying "i knew the glue was awesome !"
Looks great! Too bad the work on that "snowballed," but you did prevail in the end.
Still the best..
GReAt Job!
Another mess transformed. A Happy Chritmas to you and a prosperous New Year.
2 channels, I’m so happy!🇦🇺👴🏻

Wow
Its a beautiful desk. 1920s ?
Maybe a bit earlier.
👍👍👍
Where did your music go?
Which cellack are you using?
Nice job. The plywood top will also give the whole thing more strength. Were you kicking yourself for not cutting that top out in the first place?
The road to knowledge is winding :)

The drawers bottom edge is slanted, so no.
Why you made second channel? May I ask? Or you make different style furniture here?
5:53 United Nations meeting
and in the middle we see the Boos 😎
Thanks
Merry Christmas. I hope your friends and family see this video and realise you need at least one more clamp for christmas gift.
