dude Tolkki was great composer, he has written many great songs. Now it's usual power metal band with good vocal. No more Elements, no more Infinity, no more Dreamspace.
What I feel looking at them now is that they become more friends in last years. You see it watching interviews during gigs, they smiling enjoying each other. Before with Tolkki it's harder to notice frienship in that band..

Sem Jörg Michael, Jari Kainulainen e o Mestre Timo Tolkki, Essa banda perdeu Sua essência, infelizmente, passei minha adolescência e juventude curtindo tudo que fosse possível, viajando, indo para shows, comprei todos os CDs originais, isso na época era muito difícil mas consegui hoje eu só tenho a lamentar.
Se nota que no sabes mucho de Stratovarius che... Con todo el tiempo que vienen tocando y la cantidad de giras que hacen, vos te pensas que la voz de un hombre puede resistir para tanto? Considera la edad de Kotipelto que anda por los 44 , a esa edad ya no es lo mismo que cuando tenes 25 , 30 años... Es a lo que le da la voz, se sobrexigio mucho durante bastante, igual no deja de ser bueno, Strato ya de por si es una banda legenderia loco.
Timos voice went to shit! He still sounds decent or even gerat with new songs which are more suitable for his current voice but with old classics, he just barks...Nevertheless I LOVE three Tolkkiless albums way more than last three with him.
Elements 1 & 2 have a lot of good songs, but you're right, the self-titled album is absolutely garbage. It seems like they needed their own "St. Anger" to continue, even if Tolkki had to leave the band.

honestly Matius is lightyears better at guitar than Tolkki and isnt a lunatic, Rolf is AMAZING, and Lauri is also the man! dont complain and just go be one of those assholes somewhere else

Tolkki is EONS a better songwritter than Porra and company. that's why they will never be able to make another album like visions or fourth dimension again. And Matias is an amazing player indeed, but I would trade 10 notes from one of his solos from one note from Tolkki's solos and it would sound so much better. Timo's playing had a special, rare, empirical and unique feel that cannot be taught. When i look at Matias i'm like Meh - another virtuous guitar player from the bunch of virtuous player that are out there. I think they should change their name to Stratolauri since he does most of the song writing anyways. In fact i would rather listen to Symfonia (post stratovarius tolkki) 1000 times better than to any post-tolkki Stratovarius.
This is one of the best power metal that i've listened to in my life
