I actually prefer the taste of the breba figs from my brown Turkey over the main crop. Not very different but tastier for some reason.
I have to agree that a few varieties produce comparable quality breba to main crops, but I also think most varieties usually produce better main crop.
Which of your figs you like the most ? I have a VDB but it’s really small it will probably 3 years before I taste the fruits .
Last season was my first time growing figs and my first year trees didn’t produce much. I did like Del Sen Juame Gran , Bordissot negra rimada, campaniere and unknown giant California.
