I am a lucky gal 😊❤️ He is a real sweetheart💕 Thank you so Very Much for such a generous Super Thanks, This is so much greatly appreciated!!! Again, Thank You!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕
Yes,yes! Love when you cook for us. I have used zucchini in so many things thanks to your videos .I make chocolate zucchini bread using 1/2 coco, 1/2 dark coco. Soooo good! Happy Gardening and thank you again.
In the Mexican Cuisine we call it picadillo 😋😋 What we do to stretch the meat (after we add chopped onions, peppers now zucchini 😛 etc) is cut raw potatoes in little squares add them after browning the meat , and add some salsa let it simmer to finish cooking the potatoes 🥔!! Robbie, now I want tacos 🌮🤗🦋😋
That food chopper, old, but powerful!! I could hear it, it took like, 30 seconds, to have those onions ready, and I was like, it takes me forever with mines!!!!
In TX here. Our grocery stores have large bags of dried chiles, and I sprouted some of those seeds! Wrapped in a paper towel with purified water & a bit of hydrogen peroxide, folded up, and placed in a ziploc in a kitchen drawer. It took a week, but they grew tails! Isn't that exciting? I have SO many seeds left, I'd be happy to send you some! Peppers grow so well here. We've made a lot of jalapeno poppers stuffed with cream cheese & wrapped in bacon and cooked on the grill. You could probably bake them, if you wanted. I really like the way you cook with produce you grow yourself. We're swimming in cucumbers and peppers, any recipes for that? Some cherry tomatoes, but those don't last long enough around here. ha ha! My ginger & turmeric is growing nicely, the okra is coming up, and my cannas have huge leaves, did you know those are edible, too? I saw a squirrel during a drought period tear off a canna stem, rip it open, and start nibbling. It was the most amazing thing to see. I have yet to beat the squash borers, but I'll plant squash again later in the season. My collards were stripped bare, too. Sorry for the book, guess I had a bit to say. DM me for seeds, if you want. I should do a tour and a video, but I don't think I'd be as good on the camera as you are! It's like visiting a friend!
I loved reading your "book." 😅😊 I've had so much stress that I could barely muster any garden...plus my heat tolerance seems non existent right now and it runs mid nineties and up until about late September now, it seems. I love hearing the excitement from other people, and there is always so much to learn. ❤
I have cannas, but I don't think they are edible. I've never seen any squirrel try to eat mine. My dad and my uncle 2nd wife made stuff jalapeños within the bacon in the oven. However, I saw them with and without bacon cook in oven. I personally haven't tried any. Not my cup of tea, to spicy for my liking. I wonder if you could do this with smaller sweet peppers like lunchbox pepper, sweet jalapeños or violet sparkle pepper? If they would be good.
Okay, you got me off my tired fanny and I am heading for the kitchen to make a similar dinner. Gardening in the heat is kicking my aforementioned body part. Kisses for 🐾Zoe🐾🐝🌵🐥🐥😘
I cook up a pound of hamburger each week in a little bit of olive oil with onions & fresh garlic. Stored in the fridge in wide mouth pint Mason jars, it is all ready to go in my homemade soup, chili, spaghetti, or just warmed on a slice of really good bread (an unburger) to go with my salad for supper.
IMO-first time seeing you cook your garden finds and it’s awesome. I do have the same chopper machine since late 1980s and they’re better made and works so well. Thank you for the cooking vid.
25:49 ummm yessss!!! 🤓I'm all about the eating videos 🤦♀️😆🤷♀️ Hey, what can i say, i love food. I enjoy when you cook and you look beautiful while cooking, I love how you always stay consistent with the message of using whatever we have available and whatever we enjoy, keeping us open minded and creative, love that about you❤️🌮😋 i Will definitely try your style of taco meat, i use certain spices, but i don't add anything other then garlic and onions! Thanks again! 💓🌮
Wow that looked so healthy ! I’ve never incorporated the zucchini with my banana bread or taco meat, I really need to try this. I’m trying to eat healthier . Thank you for sharing ! Side note, have you ever had a zucchini plant give off all male flowers? Do I need to be patient?
@@barbarabohannon3089 The struggle is real, I got slugs, Japanese beetles, cucumber beetles, squash bugs, and I just saw a squash vine borer. And I forgot so many cabbage moth. On the bright side I see lots of baby praying mantis, Ladybugs, lacewings and lots of birds and spiders.
Loved this video & picked up several new ideas from it. Did you add taco seasoning? I missed it if you did, & will add it to mine. Thanks for sharing how you use half meat/half zucchini.
I have my mothers exact food chopper. And I love it. It's old, and works like a champ. I didn't use it so much when the kids were home and my husband was still alive, but it perfect now. I love adding different vegetables to hamburger meat. But you gave me some new ideas to try out.
I love ghee! I put it on popcorn (and pretty much everything) and it tastes like movie popcorn! Glad for your video - it’s dinner time and I was wondering what to do with this stray zucchini I have. 😋 Wanted to mention that black olives are actually dyed green olives 🫒, which is why different brands have different flavors. Early California makes a non-dyed type, Simply Green. It’s a little pricey but delicious!
Love the cooking video. I also have that same Oster brand processor. It was handed down from my mom and still have the instruction booklet dated 1987. What a great way to stretch the meat out. With grocery prices going up it's great to have different ideas. ❤
My mother had one that I inherited when she passed. I am so sorry now that I donated it when I bought big, fancy Kitchen-aid processor. I should have kept it for smaller jobs. It worked like a champ.
Taco Tuesday! 🌮 Looks good Robbie. I love the patty pan squash. I got 2 plants growing this season. They are slower grower than the regular zucchini but very tasty. I cut them into strips and stir fry with ground beef, oyster sauce and a few dash of brown cooking soy sauce and add a few slices of Serrano pepper. Serve with steaming white rice. Maggi soy sauce on the rice.
What a great way to eat healthier and stretch the budget. I will definitely try this when I get my zuchini planted. I wonder if I had an abundance of zuchini, could I grate it and freeze it to use later like you would zuchini bread ?
Wow that looked so healthy ! I’ve never incorporated the zucchini with my banana bread or taco meat, I really need to try this. I’m trying to eat healthier . Thank you for sharing ! Side note, have you ever had a zucchini plant give off all male flowers? Do I need to be patient? Also try the Lydsay Olives , so good ❤
I don't know if this is true but I hear somewhere that zucchini puts out male flowers to attract the pollinators and then female flowers, I hope this help.
Robbie another great video ❤. Had dinner, but after watching your video I was hungry again 😂. Looks so yummy. I am sorry for trolls, please keep doing what you do ❤❤❤.
That's what I use. It's just about $5 a pound here, sometimes a few cents more or less. When they have it in a 3 or 4 pound bundle, the price per pound goes down. I always keep several pounds in the freezer.
I looked up peppino because I wasn't sure what it was. You've probably mentioned it in a different video but I don't always catch all of them. And it seems like it could be the name of a lot of different plants. Could you tell me what yours is? You said it doesn't have seeds is it one of those cucumbers with no seeds or is it something else? What type of flavor does it have? I live in North Florida in dealing with a lot of heat and humidity so I'm always looking for something to grow that would be happy here, so any info on your pepino would be appreciated.
Thanks you for the video, im going to save this one along with your other food recipe video. Do you still do mint tea? I can doing this with picky kids who don't like veggies. I can't wait to try this next time my brother cooks hamburger meat. I wonder if cauliflower would be good in this recipe because its seem nowadays people and grocery are all about cauliflower in different recipes.
Hi Robbie, love your channel. I was wondering where you purchased your food processor it’s so simple not like the bulky food processor. I’d love to purchase one. Where did you get it?
I am so upset. My bush beans n tomatoes look awesome. My cukes n zucchini ended up massacred by some jerk bug. I think it was the huge earwig infestation we recently had. I covered them every night, too! Ugh!
Good ideas here! I just wonder if your knives need sharpening. Looks (and sounds) like you’re working harder than you have to there. Sounds like your knives are hitting the cutting board kind of hard. Maybe it’s just an illusion from the mic. 🤷🏻♀️ just a suggestion.
Not trying to be nasty or anything, but I’m just wondering why if you’re eating meat and then you have these veggies why do you have that weight on your body?

Ground turkey, cauliflower, and onions is a delicious taco filling

Robbie, I love zukes, too ! I'll sub it for eggplant and make parm with the larger zukes...yum !
Use them in a frittata, too. A million uses for them.

Thanks for the cooking lesson,Robbie.Did not know you could add zucchini to ground beef..Will try your recipe for a change of pace.
Robbie you are making me hungry. Enjoy dinner. Am like you I prefer beef over chicken. I also buy grass fed beef.
I like small chunks of zucchini like Gary. Better texture to me. Didn’t know you can freeze them, thanks.

This makes my day What did you call that taste like apples?
I had that processor and just loved it. Then it died and nothing that I've bought has been as good.
I have to put in taco seasoning.
Yes. I would like to know the various dishes you make from your garden.

Yes, onion makes everything taste better. I love all the ingredients you’re putting in there after the onion. What did you put in there?❤
I was given a spaghetti squash, what do I do with that? I have never bought one and never had them growing up.
You could cut in in half and season it with a little bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, and whatever else seasoning you like and bake it in the oven.
What is the spice you are adding I saw pepper but the other one?❤what is the best cheese for tacos
