  • De'Aaron Fox is perhaps one of the most overlooked young players in the NBA, as despite some incredible numbers, many fans don't recognize him for the player that he is. Fox is a dynamic rising star in this league, scoring in a number of ways. In this video, I break down and analyze every portion of Fox's game from this season, and all that he has meant to the Sacramento Kings.
Thank you guys for watching! It really means a lot, and I strive to produce higher quality and better videos in the future. Please, leave a comment with any feedback you might have. And once again, I really appreciate it!

Such a shame that being on the lowly kings causes Fox to be wildly underrated by the national media. If he was on the East coast he’d be a multi-time all-star already with the exact same stats.

Great video man! Love all the breakdowns you do. Hopefully Fox can start getting the recognition he deserves soon. He's improved every season, and has made the best of a terrible situation. Questionable coaching staff, indecisive front office, and terrible spacing/help around him, and he's continued to show signs of stardom. Truly one of the most underrated guys in the league

@@KingsFilmRoom I love how fair you are in your analysis and spending the time to demonstrate your points with the relevant film. It's important to mention the flaws he has in defense while highlighting his unique offensive traits. Lets hope he ascends again with a new staff!
One question: Do you think his defensive problems are of a lack of effort, IQ, or what?

Great content, can't wait to see more. Fox has always been underrated but it's sad to see him start to be underappreciated and scapegoated by Kings fans because he had his share of struggles this season, and of course his inexcusable (checks notes) "bad body language." He's not perfect, no one is, but we should be grateful we have a guy like this on our team that has been as patient and improved as much as he has in spite of all the turnover and chaos. He made leaps in his game every season up until this one, which I think speaks to his best attribute, his self-awareness and recognition of his own strengths and weaknesses. Because of that I'm really looking forward to seeing what a "bounce back" season looks like for him, and I think we saw some flashes of that after the trade.

I still feel fox can be a 35 36% 3pt shooter. He’s actually a solid mid range shooter and has been since a rookie and he gets real streaky with his 3 as it is

Nice analysis. More thorough than other fox breakdowns I've seen. I'm still mystified why he can't get more calls in the paint on offense. He seems to consistently draw contact but because of what feels like a low rate of fouls called I worry he'll never good enough in the clutch absent a better three point shot to lead the kings on a deep playoff run. I'd love to see a deep dive comparing his ability (or inability) to draw fouls to the rest of the league.

Didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I said I was following wherever DeAaron got drafted back in 2017 lmao but things finally seem to be turning around!! Great video man this channel is already so fye. Also on the topic of defense I feel as if DeAaron’s lowkey too twitchy to a fault on ball putting himself out of position a lot of the time…

People say Ja has grown to be better than Fox but imo thats not true, i feel as if u give Fox the same weapons and team that Ja has where they can win 90% of their game w/o him on the floor then we’d see Fox right up there in the same caliber as Ja.

Fox to me underrated asf.. ok shooting three's can either catch you up if you losing or keep a comfortable lead... but damn him getting to the basket at will with speed is incredible.

Fox is the athletic, dynamic guard that I would love on the Heat. And he's Bam's college teammate. I like Tyler Herro but his ball handling is subpar. A multitude of Heat fans are talking about Bradley Beal and Donovan Mitchell but I'm the only one with a desire for Fox. His 3 point shooting has vastly improved. I doubt a trade will happen but I'd like to see Sacramento improve and Fox get the respect he deserves.

If Fox can even develop into a 34% 3 point shooter and clean up the turnovers he can be an elite point guard. I hope he continues to light it up and develop with a team built around his skill set.

Hopefully Mike Brown can help this defense out in Sac, are offense can definitely run up the score, but the lack of defensive talent has been a big issue
If he can do to our defense anything near wut he’s been apart of with the Warriors and their defense scheme and hiding Curry would help us win a lot of games that we haven’t in the past
Picking up some defenders in the off-season can’t hurt either, whether to trade or draft any help is help at this point

    • @hanznastor1543

Yes, he will. He thrived under dave joeger who is known for having a disciplined and structured system, in his 2nd season. In these past 3 years, the kings have been playing too much freedom thats why you dont see that much half court offense and movement. Fox even saidnit himself in his latest interviews that he wants a coach that has a structured system because that is really what they've been missing this past dissapointing seasons. Hope we get the right coach this time. :)
