    How does the weight compare to a traditional spade? Looks light!

    Do you need to sharpen the serrated edges from time to time?

      Not from what I’ve noticed. I’ve never had to sharpen a spade in general. If a root is too big for this, I’ll use a mattock or a maul. If it’s too big for those, it gets excavated and a chainsaw is used.
