I’ve just discovered this channel probably last week, and being a Mercedes-Benz enthusiast, it’s already become my favorite automotive channel on RUclips. Brilliant variety of cars, attention to detail and information. Iain is an absolute genius and has incredible taste, although is too humble to admit it of course. He is an amazing wealth of knowledge, but also a GREAT guy in every way. Keep up the great work!! 😊
Y'know what: they all deserve to be featured. The Mini because everyone can relate to one, the Vanquish and DMC12 because all we know about these is from films. The Esprit because of the adage Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious - are they? The Bentley, e-type and Testarossa I think we've already seen? Show the Esprit first. I've loved that car ever since The Spy who Loved Me...
Esprit!! I’ve always wondered why you’ve never had an Esprit to show us. For those of us who will never be able to afford a Countach or Muira, the Esprit has always been the attainable dream car.
Each time I see one of these videos I'm reminded of the incredible skill and talent that exists in the UK's "cottage industry." Here in Western Canada I can only watch with envy at England's hundreds or thousands of small automotive shops full of world class craftsmen and trades. Each marque seems to have dozens of excellent specialists to choose from. Where I am, a city the size of Birmingham, I can think of maybe 3 places I could trust with a pre-war car restoration, all with a 3-5 year wait list... I wish container prices would go down so I could just ship my cars over for work every few years!
Thanks! Espirits always seem to have 8500 miles or less. In my DC days, I had an exotic car dealer I knew and he always had a low mileage Espirit. "They buy it, get scared to death every time they drive it, let it sit, and trade it away." Sad fate. Be well!
@tommytraddles Lotus owners kind of expect those things. The Europa battery would tip over and spill battery acid in sharp cornering, which is why you bought a Europa (cornering, that is). Easy remedy, pretty sure the factory didn't address it until near the production run ended. Classic Hethel
Honestly, take them in ANY order, Iain: the genius of this channel is your ability to heighten our appreciation of all cars. I see Camargues, Citroen SM's, Capri Mk1's, Rover SD1's, etc. very differently as a result of your engineer-led insights.
Wonderful to see such varied content, whether the Jaguar IRS sitting on a bench or giving details on that Rolls Royce restoration. Fabulous to see a Spanish registered Lamborghini in your workshop too!
I would love to see an in depth video on the Esprit. My first drive of a proper sports car back in the 80s was my bosses Esprit S3. I've loved them ever since.
Hello Iain , it gets never boring watching your videos. I’m not a car maniac but it’s so interesting listening to your explanations. Whatever year you gonna select it will be worth it to watch. You never run short on work as your workshop is always full of beautiful cars. 😊😊😊
Ryan did a sublime job on the Muira. Indeed, it was painted in lime. I love the shout-out and the combined paradym association of subLime and its colour .
It has to be the Esprit as it is perhaps the most interesting though I'd love to see a piece on the Vanquish. I grew up on Minis so that also though the interwebs is full of quality Mini content.
Dear Mr. Tyrrell, if a multiple choice is not an option, my vote would be going to the Esprit. Thank you so much for the exquisite content you delight us with.
Wow! Superb channel, excellent presenter and wonderful cars. Couldn't ask for more. That black Lamborghini Countach 5000 in the background, on a Spanish number plate......... you clearly have a array of clients from near AND far! That number plate is from April 2004 though, so imported or re-registered, wondering what the back story is on that one. Looking forward to seeing any of the cars you mention in the video.
The E-type IRS was popular with reasonably well-off hot rodders in the 1960s and '70s. It looked good at the back end of a T-bucket, and was reasonably accessible when not buried under an E- or S-type. A quality Mini restoration would make an interesting contrast to the complexity of exotics.
I really don't mind which car you feature first, Iain. Your enthusiasm for your charges is one of this Channel's most appealing features, so whatever makes you feel good makes me feel good, too. But that's sitting on the fence, isn't it. Sorry. All right, then - the Mini. No, the Lotus. No, the Mini. Hmm.🤔 Can't decide. I used to look quite good in a mini(skirt), but not when sitting in the lotus position...😲
MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI MINI!👍 FYI - back in 1988, a friend and I drove a 62 Mini Countryman Woody (with a 1200 motor) from San Jose California to New Jersey. The car ran like a dream, though it did struggle a bit climbing through the Rocky Mountain passes. We also hit a terrible rain storm in Nebraska, where the meager performance of the windshield wipers had us both entertained and terrified!😬👍
@@agnosticChurchworker Because Automotive Products of Leamington Spa, England, obtained a licence in 1928 to manufacture Lockheed Hydrasulic brake and clutch systems for Britain and Europe. AP partnered technically with BMC to make automatic transmissions for their FWD cars in the 60s.
I can’t decide! They are all great cars even in their various states of repair. That Jaguar IRS unit should be a museum exhibit. The work that you folks do is incredibly pleasing.
I just knew the Mini would come out swinging as the peeps’ favourite!! Glad the intuition still works occasionally. I’m entirely disinterested (proper usage) because I’m interested in all of them. All I ask is that, so long as you enjoy making the videos as a team, please carry on!!
As a total 'petrol head' and classic car fanatic I always enjoy 'tour's around your 'Toy shop' as there are so many beautiful and interesting cars to see, more please.
Good evening Iain . Without doubt , the best on you tube .. That Lamborghini ......Jay Kay ? Back in the '70's and '80's I restored more mini's than counted sheep ! But today , there are specialists out there who have far more knowledge than myself. As always lain , thankyou Sir !
There’s not a single car there that I wouldn’t want to see a video on, all wonderful cars! I’d love to see more in-depth on the Esprit as that was a car that I fell in love with after seeing The Spy Who Loved Me back when I was about eight years old! Great to see another ketchup video, it’s always good to see the diversity of the work at Tyrrell’s Classic Workshop.
Good evening, Mr Tyrrell I absolutely love your catch up videos always find it interesting to see what you have in the workshop and I always learn something new which I find fascinating thank you very much Tristan
Looking forward to the Lotus as an interesting light restoration project, and the Mini for its simplicity. Both of these will be good palate-cleansers in contrast to the plutocrats-only cars
Yes Finally👍🏻 worth the wait😍😍😍 Can't tell you how excited I'm when I see this notification on my phones screen😅 Thanks for sharing Sir IAIN, Love your work, Stay Blessed🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Years ago I had 3 Minis (1000, 1300 carb - the beast - , 1300 SPI) and despite to be happy now driving my 26 year old Benz, I would appreciate a Tyrrell's workshop with this nice looking example. They were devilish little things but they were also a lot of fun.
Given free reign, personally I'd like to see the E-Type bodywork and rear suspension rebuild detailed (it looks like it is done already, so it may not be possible), the Lotus Esprit, and then the Vanquish. The Testarossa, Mini, and Bentley can be done in any order you or the shop would like.
Dream garage! thanks IT! I only got 8 years and im retired, was thinkin with a machinist, fabricator, engineering background. I could work for pints and fish and chips. A little cottage in the back I’ll be fine. cheers🍻

Ian, love your channel. Really surprised you personally responded to my comment regarding the GTC with the roof chopped. I've never had anyone actually respond to any comment I made before. Hi Iain. My suggestion on the first car to film is the Mk1 Mini. But in saying that, I'm guessing the next car that you film will be the first car that is ready so all good no matter what car is next. I'm surprised that you cannot get a set of rotors for the Aston Martin, surely there is an aftermarket supplier that could supply an appropriate set of discs. Fun fact. Ian Callum was the designer for Holden Special Vehicles during the mid 90's.
Aha! it was well worth staying up a bit past my bedtime just to see your latest video! Thank you as always for the “Ketchup”! As you said please make a video on the Mini! If possible please also do one on the R56 (I own one and love it to bits - in fact I did a 100km joy ride in it just this morning!). It was great to see that gorgeous DeLorean. Such a wonderful car that was so ahead of its time. I still think John (DeLorean) was unfairly set up by the DEA guys. So sad. He did come across as a highly charismatic man.

I like when I can trace them the MOT history of the cars you show, and the silver cloud YSU 253 doesn't exist, probably on a different plate now.

Thanks for that
The V12 Vanquish is my dream car, I hope we get several videos about it!
The paintwork on that Miura is a genuine masterpiece.
Quite frankly I'm happy to watch anything in any order by you guys 👍
Videos on Mini and Lotus Not the Aston or DMC
Amongst the exotica, I confess a love of the mk1 mini, mostly the quirky minimalist doors and the floor starter.
Simply the best. And, oh, that 80s Lotus ❤
The Lotus is my top choice. So many childhood memories of wanting one.
I'm reliably informed that rear brake discs for the Vanquish are more difficult to find than flux capacitors for the DeLorean DMC.
Nay milad, na-hay. Tha can gerrum on’t th’eBay easy enough like. Burrif tha wants a workin’ one, tha’s gorra gerron Wish :) :)
1- Lotus, 2- Mini, 3-Aston
Agreed. 👍
Upvoting in agreement!
I'd vote on the Esprit next, then perhaps the DMC-12 and finally the Aston. Thanks for the catch-up!
Simply the best automotive video channel on the internet. Thank you for another entertaining and educational video!
Thank you!
Great workshop tour as always. All of the vehicles deserve a video, the red Lamborghini is a real classic.
Thanks

I learn something every week. Maybe my favourite channel because of that.
I'd love to see the
1. Lotus Esprit
2. Austin Mini
3. E-Type
4. DeLorean DMC 12
5. AM Vanquish, beautiful car
Would love to see the Lotus Esprit first please Iain!
Love to see the Mini - Re Furb - Thanks Derek R
I can attest that. I went to the future with the DeLorean and I've already seen the Mini video - and it is very good.
@@kingkreole9121I see what you did there...
Yeah I hit that magical 88 mph.
Do a video on them all they are all worth seeing you work your magic on
Any Aston Martin is worth a video alone, so looking forward to more of that Vanquish. Also, the Ferrari Daytona Spyder and Iso Grifo please!
The Grifo has been previously covered.
Wonderful to see such varied content, whether the Jaguar IRS sitting on a bench or giving details on that Rolls Royce restoration. Fabulous to see a Spanish registered Lamborghini in your workshop too!
A Mini episode would be absolutely lovely!
Would love to see more of the Vanquish. One of the best car designs ever!
The Vanquish first . . . I loved Iain's description of the sublime job on the lime green Miura.
I would love to see an in depth video on the Esprit. My first drive of a proper sports car back in the 80s was my bosses Esprit S3. I've loved them ever since.

My favourite would be the mini.
Thanks again for your show.

I learned to drive in an orange MK1 Mini. Tiny little car. Love the Vanquish and Lotus too.
