I was amazed by the overall production quality of this video for a brand new youtube channel, Keep up the good work!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Me too!
We just got a new NX350h after owning 3 RX's. Thank you for your thorough reviews that are helping us learn our new car. So far we love it, as you do yours!
I appreciate your owner experience - Great summary! A review with the Executive package is rare.
Great video Brian! I also just picked up my Nori Green 2024 350h and I love it!
I can't wait for the night video to be uploaded. Really interested how the lighting looks inside the car.
Thanks for the comprehensive review. I am picking up my Redline NX350h on Sunday! Your review put my mind at ease regarding the interior controls and more. Great job!
What do you think after 3 months?
Great job of explaining in details of NX250H. Thank you.
Wow, Just found your channel. I enjoyed the way you articulated the plusses and minuses. Very well spoken and helpful review. Thank you. I just subscribed.
Great video, now patiently waiting on the night time review!
Very impressive car and video. I've debated on and off about buying one, but your review is so comprehensive, what's not to like? Happy New Year to you and yours!
Thank you, that was one of the best pieces of content on this product. Hugs from Brazil.
Wow very very detailed review, love it. Some of us want these little details that most reviewers tend to forget
You made a great choice, very sweet ride! I hope to pick up mine within a month.
Great review. I have owned my current NX for 8 years now and will order the new model in the next year. The best car I have ever owned, the new model looks even better. Thanks for a very informative review. 👍
Great review! Have 2025 nori green with macadamia on order due 6/28. Wanted palomino but would have to wait too long. Can’t wait!
Looking forward to seeing your night review.
Nice comprehensive review. Good job!
An excellent review. Good job.
GREAT REVIEW BRIAN AND THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT THE RADIO 📻 👍
You're review helped me make my decision to buy a NX . Just got a 2025 Atomic Sliver. Thank you
Thanks for the very informative review.
Great video. I love how you cover thr driving assist features that most reviewers skim ovsr. This is the most important reason to buy a mew car if aomeone has an older vehicle, and im glad you went into a bit of depth there. Subscribed!
Ordered my 350h f sport in June 22. It’s just gone into production. I get it September 23. Can’t wait
Thanks so much for your sharing 😊
Beautiful colour! Perfect with the palomino interior!
great video Brian, ddint expect this from a small yt channel like this, but man that suv is stylish but pricy
I love the colour combinations. Looks really good. Besides the glove box they also added the interior colour to the passenger side of the consol.
The green was a good choice. I like the subtlety yet still looks amazing.
Love that color-- I use to have a mercury capri many years ago that color with tan interior and LOVED it.. I agree on the door sound for back door- is a bit "tinny"...
So excited to get mine
Well done review! Thank you!
Thanks and you're welcome!
Fantastic video! Love the details and quality of your video
Side note. My RX shows the apple carplay maps in the heads up display
I have had a very hard time mastering the steering wheel controls. Your walk-through really helped me though I would wish for another video going into greater detail. Thanks for what you have done.
Best move is to replace the run-flat tires. They are known noisemakers with a rougher ride than a regular tire
I have the same controls on my RX and I DESPISE them. I can use them, but it makes everything 10x more complicated than it needs to be. A luxury car is supposed to reduce stress, not make it worse.
I Subscribed, enjoyed your video. More car tours plz😊
Very helpful. Thank you.
I truly enjoyed your review! It was very detailed. Thank you! Just use the word “honestly” less often please… it relates is not that necessary. We know you’re not lying to us
HONESTLY, you are being sooooo picky!
Cadmium orange is an awesome color in person! Videos and pictures don't do it justice. It's a really cool color.
Excellent review Brian. I particularly like the run-through you did with all the steering wheel functions. That is the first time I've seen that in a YT review of this model. Clear, concise and logical.
We have a NX450h+ on order (6 months and waiting...some day.....!) to replace our 2012 CT200h F-Sport. Toyota/Lexus hybrids are the way to go. Nothing has ever broken on our CT. After almost 200,000km every switch, every light bulb is all original. The interior and paint still look like new. Just tires, oil/filter changes and fluid changes per the Lexus schedule.
I hope all the tech in the new car will hold up for as long. Thanks.
The intro was cinematic bliss.
Quite an unbiased review
Thanks for the review. Looking to buy a 2025 350h.
Great informative video
Genuinely happy for you man. The long wait for the upgrade was well worth it!
Thank you!
@@YBrianL, Why did you feel 20in wheels have a harder ride? Intuitively, lager wheels should make a ride felt softer and less bumpy. I'm in a process of purchasing NX 350h Luxury (or Executive version) vs. Prime (18in wheels), so your response would be greatly appreciated.
I have the 2023 RX350 but this Nori Green NX is a beauty!!
I hope that transition between the battery and the gas engine stays smooth, because I had 2020 rx hybrid and I hate driving it every moment. The transition between battery and engine kicks in was very noticeable and yankied. The engine roar so loud inside the cebine. So I sold it out for the normal gas one and never had any problem until then.
Great review. Me too jus booked for while color
That’s a beautiful color!!!
Great choice, I’m getting this same color!
Looks amazing!😊
Good video. Thank you. Subbed.
Excellent review. Really good explanations and camera work. Thanks very much for taking the time to do this review. Very helpful!
Great review of a great car, got a 24 NX FSPORT and i absolutely love it. I never had a glare issue with the gloss black covers. I did with dash time to time. That nori green looks fantastic!! 👌🏾
Yes, I’d enjoy the self Park demo.
that interior color is nice af.
The best color! Considering NX450 h

This is the first time I’ve seen you can change this set up. I didn’t like it at all at first, but this makes me rethink the heads up display
I said the exact same thing. I thought I would turn it off but after a week, I love it. And I didn’t know you could customize the buttons until now
What a nice ride 🎉
Verry good comments. Good idea to do the night drive separately, please do so. Question, also an Lexus ES review possible?
I would love to test drive and review the ES but no plans any time soon.....mayyybe for the next redesign? lol
Nori Green looks great!!!
Excellent review by a real owner. We have had our 350H (2024 Atomic Silver w/ Palomino) for about a month and feel very similarly about the quality/luxury of the ride and the gas mileage. We are in the US (and have the Luxury package) so our gas is displayed in miles/gal which on average for us is 42.2. And 90% of our 3,000 miles were traveling on 55-60 MPH highways over mountains. ACC is awesome. Especially on long drives. Both LKA as well as the automatic slowing on curves. Though if it needs to slow from 65MPH to 40MPH it waits a bit to long so I take over in those cases. One tip - with the 360 degree view you can set it so that the “front” view automatically comes on when you slow below about 7mph. I use that all the time as it helps with alignment in parking spaces, etc. But it could be annoying to some. Also, regarding navigation instructions in the HUD, they actually show up if your are using CarPlay with Apple Maps but not when using Google Maps. Apple Maps must have some additional integration with the Lexus systems.
Congats on your new Lexus. I just got the same atomic silver/Palomino luxury 1 week ago and couldn't be happier. I am interested in finding out how you are achieving over 40mpgs? I have only gotten to 34mpg. I don't feel like I am being aggressive either. Does putting the music and a/c factor into it? Also, how do you reset the mpg gauge to 0?
Thanks for an excellent video. Would appreciate a dedicated self parking video.
Thank you! I'm just wrapping up the night review and will start the self parking video very soon!
Yes i want to see the self park.😊
I was a little disappointed with the choice of colour available when I ordered my Lexus in the UK. I went for the pearly white, can’t remember what it’s called but it’s quite nice and gives different effects in different light conditions.
Really interesting video, particularly because I am going to get the exact color combination nori green and palomino for my 350h in less than a month. I would be interested in the night pov. I will also have the 20inch tires so I hope to have a better feeling that you described. Thanks Brian!
Hey, owner of 24 NX FSPORT here, I have the 20 inch wheels and really don't feel much of anything. However the FSPORT has adaptive suspension as well but overall a very smooth ride.
Well done and great owner’s review. I also watched your previous review where you picked it up from the dealership.
I’m in Australia and my partner ordered a 350h on the 5th of March 2022. Yes… 2022!! We don’t even have a build date yet. All of ours come from Japan. Our top trim here equivalent to yours is called the Sports Luxury and thats what my partnered ordered… same Palamino interior and panoramic sunroof, except the exterior colour is dark grey. I’ve also ordered the F Sport coloured wheel arch mouldings and i’m going to swap them as there’s so much damn unpainted plastic!!
But anyway… I’m looking forward to your future videos. Keep it up!!!
Informative car 🚘 review.
Looks fantastic interior and exterior!
My dad just bought the NX Hybrid Plug-in; picks up Monday. Love the color on your new car- congratulations!
Nice!! How long it takes a dealer to deliver a PHEV Lexus?
Great review. Helped my girlfriend decide on this car versus others. Thank you
HThe runflat tires seems makes the ride more rough and give more road noise, one thing I will address when I wear them down and just switch to normal 20inch Bridgestones. Besides that and a bit too much gloss black pain inside, I love my NX 350h. Though around town I do find the driving assist breaking when overtaking parked car on the side of the road every now and then.
Green is definitely the right colour.
Great review and informative video quality/presentation! Question: Some HUD don't show up while wearing polaroid sunglasses in the daytime. Have you tried this and does it show up (important since there are no guiding features on the arrows themselves on the steering wheel)?
yea sunglasses absolutely cutout the visibility of the HUD considerably. It does vary depending on the exact lighting conditions, but for the most part it's more of a (big) nuisance but not like completely unusable with sunglasses. To me though it still beats glancing down at the steering wheel.
Those 18" wheels do to great!
Awesome review. Can you please explain how to turn on the air in the backseat? I cannot figure out
Off top of my head in the climate setting there is s-flow which direct air only to occupied seats. I think just sitting in the seat is not enough you have to also fasten the seatbelt. Give that a try.
Love your review. Waiting for the night drive stream. Between how is the driver visibility, especially when taking a left turn , is the A pillar coming in the sight? Also can we plug a usb with mp3 files and listen? Mine is due on 22 Aug
I haven't noticed any issues with turning visibility. And yes you can use android auto or apple carplay with the usb connection as well. I have some FLAC soundtrack files on my phone's local storage and I use either RUclips music or Poweramp to play them
Yes, please, a self parking video
it is gorgeous because its yours. i have bicycle too and it’s stunning!🤷🏻♂️
And I believe it!
amazing, thanks, Brian! what specific shade of black did you get for the exterior paint color?
You’re welcome! The paint colour is called nori green pearl, one of the best from Lexus
Great review. We currently have a 2016 and 2020 RX, gas only. Just put down a deposit on a 2024 RX350h. I am very curious about the driving experience of the hybrid. Can you cover more of your experience?
3 biggest differences in coasting/braking/accelerating. Right off the bat the most noticeable thing was the regen braking resistance. If you're someone who coasts to stop a lot in a regular gas car, you'll find that in the hybrid you'll need to delay the coasting, because it slows down noticeably faster as the brakes regen to charge the battery. It's not a good or bad thing it's just by design. The actual braking feel is pretty interesting. On gradual braking (on scale of 1-10, say gradual is 1-4), the regen is enough to slow the car down to a near complete stop then the traditional hydraulic brakes would kick in at the last second to stop and hold the car, you may sometimes notice a very faint feedback from the brake pedal. It's VERY faint but the brake transition timing is unmistakable, and it's only on the pedal, a passenger wouldn't feel a thing. On aggressive braking (6-10) or just braking at highway speeds, the traditional hydraulic brakes kick in almost right away. In either case the brake feels perfectly smooth, where it's not so smooth is if you go from 4 - 6 while you still have some speed left, that's when the transition can feel a little too sudden. Essentially always brake steadily and don't go above 4 unless in emergency, you want to stay below 4 anyways to maximize regen and efficiency. Other than that I really like the acceleration of the hybrid a lot more than gas. Unless you're flooring it from the get go, it should always start with electric only which is very linear and very responsive. The transition to gas as you speed up is very smooth as well, it's more noticeable when the engine is cold but once it warms up its barely noticeable.
Nice review! However, i ended up going with a 23 Acura RDX Aspec. Traded in my 19 Mazda CX5 and NX profile looks similar to it. Too large of a grill, smaller back seats and cargo, fake leather, run flats and non-sporty styling were my drawbacks on the NX.
Great review! Lexus on the park!
You can't get Cadmium Orange in the 350h as it does not have FSport. It's unfortunate.
Thanks LSFT! I really enjoy your videos as well and found out from you that cadmium orange will be removed entirely. I might go insane if they add copper crest to the NX lol but we shall see
@@YBrianL that is my speculation as well. Hope you won't go insane if it does happen for 2025. I'm already sour for advanced park not available on my 2022, but now they have it for 2024 FSport. 😡
Hi I was watching your video multiple times I was wondering did you build your car or you just went to car dealer and you pick what they have cause your car is gorgeous
thank you! I did have to order it from the dealer (so not right off the lot) and it took about 3 months to get it built and delivered. It is a Canadian executive package so fully loaded.
Thanks for detailing how the electronic doors worked. Is it delayed? Do you like it now you have owned it for a while?
it is not delayed. I really like the way it works, particularly on the inside, opening it with a thumb press feels very natural. However we just recently had a bout alternating rain/snow followed by a frigid deep freeze. I found one of the buttons seemed a bit frozen and had limited travel so it took noticeably more force to press the button down to open the door. Now that it's warmed up it seems to have fixed itself.
Hey, what happens when the Lexus subscription expire?...... do you just lose updates and traffic but still have the main function of the navigation, like other brands? Or do you lose access to navigation altogether? That would be a deal breaker for me...especially if the subscription is costly.
impressive color HUD ,,,usually white!
Brian, absolutely outstanding review…thank you so much! I have my 2024 350H set to arrive in 4 weeks (Redline red, black interior)…curious if you’ve looked ahead to your next set of tires (when the run flats wear out)? Thanks again for your content!
thank you! i have my winter rims/tires now but no haven't thought about next set of summer/all seasons yet. Perhaps michelin cross climate or primacy but we'll see
Quite simply, subscribed, excellent review; awesome delivery, so engaging and informative. No doubt, this channel will generate a huge following, thank you.
Hey Brian, have you drove the Venza as well? What are your thoughts in regards to this versus a top spec Venza, ie what features are unique for the NX Hybrid? Also, is maintenance more expensive on this compared to a Venza / RAV-4 Hybrid? Thanks!
have not driven the venza myself but at a quick glance NX hybrid has a tad bit more hp/torque, bigger screen (and physical vol / temp dials if that matters to you), customizable steering wheel switches (controversial but still), leather seats, heated rear seats, digital latch/safe exit assist, etc.....but I'd imagine the NX sound system to blow venza out the water, and the cabin should be ever so slightly quieter which combines to make the listening experience much better. That sound system itself is worth the price difference for me lol. and maint cost shouldn't differ too much they take the same regular gas and same synthetic engine oil
Turn by turn directions can also be displayed when using Apple maps but not for google maps.
very interesting i think there should be some hope of future google maps integration then. fingers crossed!
I really like this car and already owning a ES 350 Lexus, it's really tough for me to consider a normal Toyota RAV4 or a Honda CRV. I do feel that the NX is a little small in the back and has a weird egg shape. What are your thoughts on back seat space and always happy to use super gas?
Back seat should have plenty of leg and head room unless you're well over 6ft. Also NX hybrid can take regular gas just fine, premium is recommended but not required
Thanks for the review. How much did you pay over/under MSRP?
Under due to employee discount
Hi Brian! Since you have had your Lexus NX for a few months mow, how do you clean the exterior of the car? Just hand wash? There are so many sensors was wondering about how to clean the exterior without damaging them
I only had it in the automated car wash once other than that I just wiped dirty areas or cameras every now and then. The sensors aren't completely exposed so they shouldn't be so easily damaged, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
love the green/tan combo, but i wish that green would be more vivid.... it looks almost black in many moments...
Great video.. I dont like that the Lexus is spelled out on the back. I think it cheapens the look. Love there is space for keys and phone. Also, wish it was V6, for non hybrid options, obviously. Other than that love the look of the NX. Great color choice. 13:32
Great review Brian. Congrats on your new NX.
What is the engine noise like in the cabin under acceleration? Another review complained about the engine noise and eCVT - am interested in getting your perspective. Thanks.
Under hard acceleration you can definitely hear the engine but in my opinion it's not overwhelming and you dont get that horrible droning sound that some nissans or subaru CVTs have (or used to at least). Only happens if you're literally flooring it though, otherwise the engine/eCVT is generally very quiet
@@YBrianL is cabin noisy driving on a freeway? Or pretty quite? Waiting for 18 inch wheels being installed on your vehicle to feel the difference in noise as well. I heard Michelin CrossClimate 2 is pretty quite. You may try those
@@gomusicproduction1 it's pretty quiet, could definitely be better with 18" non-run flats but still it's a very noticeable improvement over regular economy cars.
Nice car. I like it.❤❤❤
You commented on the rougher ride likely due to the run flat tires. I’m assume you’ve had the chance to drive it without them by now. How is the ride with (smaller?) regular tires? Did the ride improve as you thought? Thx!
Ride improved a little not super noticeable. Road noise was absolutely night and day though it’s serene without the run flats
hi you indeed have a great car! Is it luxury/ultimate or Fsport package? I love it!!
its the canadian executive package for the hybrid 350h!
Excellent review and video quality!
Your new car is absolutely stunning, interior and exterior!
Trying to decide between the 2024 NX 350 (turbo) and NX 350h. Main consideration is how it handles on snow, more than mpg. Is the 350 turbo model considerably better on snow compared to the hybrid?
Afraid I do not have actual practical experience to speak to since I haven't driven either in snow yet. But from what I've read/heard I think the 350 does edge out on the 350h a bit with the traditional mechanical AWD. The 350h seems to be slightly more front biased, the trail mode does help a bit. That said I wouldn't imagine the 350h to be too noticeably worse than the 350 in most situations. And in the most severe situations proper winter tires would be the far better solution than any AWD anyways.
When building this model on the Lexus site does the Luxury package come with the 14-inch display? I ask because there is an additional option to add the package as either with Mark Levinson system, or with the 14-inch display - but I thought the display was standard.
Afraid I'm not familiar with the US options but I do know it's a lot more customizable (and hence complicated I guess) than the Canadian packages
Please show a demo of the Lexus NX self-parking functionality.
Please also include imperial measurements for your American audience. Often, Canadians flash the other measurement over the video when then mention KM.
