I agree that comedy specials don't need to be an hour. Music albums vary in length based on genre or the specific project, I see no reason why stand up can't do the same. It's just that in comedy right "hour" is synonymous with "special".

I did the same thing you did with Chapelle with his “more than loud” special so correct me if I’m wrong but when it comes to the machine…if you’re trying to gain traction or boost up, it seems like they’re focused on your ability to grab the attention of the youth. That’s the marketing etc. thinking, no? He’s perfectly there charisma/delivery/material wise BUT it’s old shit, old dead dying who cares about that generation people shit unfortunately so regardless the stadiums he fills or whatever ticket level he pulls, they won’t push him algorithm wise…just my assumptions. Probably wayyyyyy off but I feel better for sharing. These are the kind of internet people you’re creating Pete.
