When I moved to Flagstaff, I heard about a running race up Mt. Agassiz. (12,360' to the top.)
It sounded like a challenge, so I thought I would train for it and do the race to meet the local athletes.
I drove to the ski lodge and ran to the top. (There was still some snow on the ground.) It was brutal. There is zero O2 up there.
On another training day, I tried the other mountain (easier climb on the trails, but the occasional bear to avoid.)
After the 5th time I had come out to run one of the mountains (Agassiz or Humphries), someone took pity and told me the running race was up the access road and not up the ski slopes. I felt stupid for not knowing that, but I was used to the kind of punishment you see in Spartan races. Why wouldn't they run up a ski slope at 12,360'? It seemed perfectly normal to me. Maybe throw in some climbing obstacles? A sandbag or two?
Needless to say, I was ready for the race. I was getting strange looks while chatting with people on the way up the access road with no difficulty. I never had so many red blood cells in my body. Back at sea level, I was a god on my road bike.
You meet interesting people in Flagstaff. We get a lot of Olympic swimmers and endurance athletes trying to get their RBC counts up.

Beautiful shots! Would it be ok for me to use a snippet (4-5 seconds) from this compilation for an Instagram Reel?

Perfect Video. Editors and Videographers learn from this. The Editor and Videographer know what they are doing.
    Here's why it's a good video:
    - no intro and strait to the action. long intros of people standing around and making gestures to the camera as an intro are boring and a waste of my time.
    - good colors, good quality.
    - no transition effects. transition effects are annoying.
    - different camera angles
    - short clips of highlights.
    - minimal clips of videos of the environment.
    - fast forwards during long obstacles so my time isn't wasted.
    - no failed attempts.
    - no shaky camera.
    - not too long.
Perfect video. 5/5. My only complaint is the black bars on the bottom and top. im not too much of a fan of the slow motion effects, but that's just me. I was able to watch the whole video with the sound muted. Short clips of action, action, action with different camera angles is why this is a perfect video. I wasn't bored at all. Thanks for the action and not wasting my time. I'm looking forward to more.
