Hey Jodi!! I’m your Christmas Nougat BFF from way back. You found some old ones in a drawer in your desk and ate them. I found some old ones under the couch and ate them. 😂🤣🤣 I just want to say thank you for posting and being so cheerful all the time. Seems like all the videos popping up on my feed are of the craziness in the world and I’m so thankful that I can count on you to take me away from the noise weekly. I meannn, plus, you are real and I need that in my life. Take care!! ❤

Wow, Jodi! Your yard has come a long way! Great job! Had a handful of squirrels on my porch today. Had to close the front door because they kept coming back. I try to feed them once a day. They’re little pigs when you have peanuts! It gets expensive. I buy a bag from Meijers when I can. Hugs to all! Your neighbor from southern Michigan.💜👍🥰

For the bush you may try and put a metal barrier or something around it to hold water and keep it very wet for a few days and slowly u'll be able to dig it out. It will get root rot and come out. I'v done it to mine. It's still hard work but it helps and will come out. I'v also had larger trees that I have dug out around them and then took a small chain saw and cut it out and low as I can. This maybe a option for you to do as well.

Hi Hi Hi Clarke. Gave up on planting Jodi, "THE SON" came home to "His" home, for his once a month visit to help with the lawn care, while I was caring for "HIS" Our, whatever,,,, puppers. Your plants look just beautiful. Lol, you made me laugh today. Ty. Good Morning, Sunshine!! Lol well, we will soon be closing the camp up in October. The summer goes By too quickly. But I am in the process of accomplishing what I set out to do. when I found the camp for sake on Facebook marketplace what attracted me to it was the out building had purple flowers painted on it. It looked so cool. Well, after owning it since the end of 2021, I decided to paint the out building differently. I painted the window frames a lime green, I repainted the sunflowers a bright yellow, and now the purple flowers are being painted a bright orange, salmon, red, purple and an aqua blue.and the stems are a lime green. The who!e area pops. I ordered sunflower lights for the nightime. This past weekend I spray painted the outdoor swing a glossy black, it came out looking new. Now to work on the deck, stain and Seal it. Next year, God willing, I am painting the outside of my camper, for a fresh look. And freshing up my garden with top soil. Never a dull moment but I enjoy the results. Thank you for the tips and tricks. I will be working on my yard also, at home. Luv ya!!😎😊

I've not had good luck growing asters. The rabbits eat the flowers every time, whether I plant them in the ground or keep them in the pots. The only thing that worked for me was to spray deer repellent on them, but every time it rains you have to reapply it, and it's expensive. Good luck! Maybe try sprinkling some cayenne pepper around the asters too. That may work.

EDIT: BES ...YES. roots can be cut but usually done in early spring or after flowering done in fall. So oh well.
EDIT...FERNS... Like lots of moisture and shade.
"Hubs" did great!!! Yes. He has seen how you aren't trying to do the yard all in 1 go but have stuck with it!
So the impatiens are part of the attrition of deer predation.😅
It's great to see more cleared. HEADWAY MADE!!!
I was gifted a LOAN of a book with old recipes in it. So my goals for now involve writing out the recipes I like.
