Sports Car or SUV?!? 2012 Infiniti FX35 Review

- Is the Infiniti FX35 a sports car in an SUV body? Today we have a 2012 Infiniti FX35 review. Is the second generation Infiniti the best used SUV? Can it compete with things like the BMW X6? I would argue that the 2012 Infiniti FX35 is the best SUV to buy for the money. In today's review, we will go over all of the different changes on the second generation Infiniti FX35 along with the engine specs, interior features, and the wonderful sound that Infiniti V6 makes. A used FX35 is a bargain considering the fact that it handles light a sports cars, darts to 60 miles per hour in 6 seconds flat. Would you guys consider a used Infiniti FX35 or would you rather have a BMW or Porsche? Let me know what you guys think about the 2012 Infiniti FX35!

I have a 2009 infiniti fx50s (v8) with 270k miles on it...still drives great!!!
How's the maintenance on it? Is it expensive?
@@pushhard2 I've had it for almost 2 years, I've replaced tires, brakes, and the radiator, getting the plugs and vvt solenoids replaced next week, those are basic maintenance things, fuel has been my biggest expense.. 🙄 🙄.
HPDE instructor , Corvette driver for 25 years, just bought an '09. Absolutely love it. Bought it to replace my parts chaser, and just thought I was getting a nice little CUV, for a very good price. They threw in the sporty paddle shifters, sharp handling, and 303 HP, and heated/cooled seats for free!!
I own an 07 sports package FX35. Absolutely love the first generation FX’s! They have such a nice exhaust tone! I’m not a fan of the 2nd generation as much.
Yes I love it ...I love my fx35...sometimes it scares me the take offf🤣🤣🤣 I love the take off how it roars
Side air vents aren't useless on this gen FX35. Per Infiniti: Side air vents are for ducting engine compartment air out and reducing front lift by 5 percent
I’m looking into a 2009 fx35 any major issues I should be worried about has about 150k miles

@@formulacm Still a great video. I'm glad you talked about how it still rides like new with 130,000+ miles. Ive had the gen 1 with 156,000 miles on it, and it ran like new with minimal maintenance. I currently drive drive gen 2 with 70,000 miles and was wondering if they were as good as gen 1.
@@Meechl0uch Thanks so much. They seem to hold up super well even with 100k plus miles. The only thing we had to do was a tune up, clean the fuel injectors, etc around 85-90 and she ran like she was brand new again!

As long as they have been maintained well and you keep on top of it they seem to be very reliable. We had no issues with ours up until around the 130k mile mark and those were a few minor electrical issues. We did do a full tune up (spark plugs, etc) around 85k and it ran like she was new again. The gas mileage could be great but if you drive reasonable 23-25 can be expected. We usually got 20-21 but that's running 85mph all the time😂😂 thank you so much for the feedback and watching!! It's a Nissan basically so it's going to be very reliable
yes is way better than an X6 since is known to have engine problems because of the turbo

Are this engine and transimssion relieble? and how good is fuel conscumption ?
I had a 2004 and have a 2010. Both were/are very reliable. Fuel consumption is significant especially with AWD but these vehicles aren't made for economy.

I took a break from any content creation after starting a new job just before the pandemic and not having much time. To me, as a first time owner, I am wowed. Wouldn't buy another VMW, have had 2 E39's, and while they are great driver's cars, the fixing and fiddling was mind wrecking. No more BMW's unless I win the lottery , which is a tax on the math impaired.
I love the FX35, nothing else screams maximum value for money, if you're buying it used.
Forget what people often say about the harshness of the ride, everything is just perfect for what it is, if you want airy soft rides, go get a range rover 😎
Bmw is nice, but Imo Infiniti is better (I have been in both and I liked more Infiniti, specially the FX37). Infiniti is sport and still a good japanese car.

I had a 2007 Volvo C70 convertible that had heated seats, climate control and up to date GPS. I was surprised .
