Hello WoonHeng, i tried this teriyaki tofu ball today for lunch. It was tooo delicious. We had no leftovers from lunch. I user mixed green and grated carrots. Also, i did not have mirin in my pantry so just used soy sauce, brown sugar. For some extra spice, i added small pieces of red chili. Thanks for another awesome recipe. Can you please advise me what brand of mirin sauce you use? Hope you are having a nice day so far dear friend .
Hello Vanisree, that's so so awesome to hear. I'm so glad you tried this recipe and loved it. Love your subs choices - yum! For the mirin, I used wa jan shan or you can use Mitzukan. :-)

Hi can i used this recipe for nuggets? N can i frozen for the ball? Thank u..pls be safe
Hey there, yes, you can. They can be frozen right after you mold them into balls or cook them. I will store the sauce separately. Let me know if you need anything else. :-)
Can we substitute mirin with the other ingredients?
Hey there, you can try rice vinegar. :-)
Hi Woon Heng, what nationality are you? Thank you for your vegan recipe.
Hey there, Malaysia
@@WoonHeng Wonderful! Thank you for your lovely recipes.
What kind of oil do you use for frying ?
Hi Linda, I used avocado oil. thanks.
Would it work to bake/air-fry the balls instead?
Yes, it will, I have shared both ways on my blog. :-)
@@WoonHeng sweet! I hate the splashy oil that comes with frying. Thanks for the tips!
Has anyone tried baking these?
Hey Karen, yes, you can bake them or air fry. The shape after baked may not be as round as it will have a flat bottom sometimes, depending on how much moisture you have in the tofu.
These look great!
