Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!

I was at an ADacting like I could actually afford a Rolex and tried on like ten watches. Datejust, sky dweller, day date, and everything between. Polar explorer 2 just felt right, now I watch all the videos about them, it’s free to dream!
Saw the yacht monster with white diamonds on oyster flex at the AD in LHR terminal 5 in early August. For purchase around $100k GBP if I recall correctly. They also had full gold and platinum sky dwellers, day dates and maybe another precious metal model all for purchase at that time.
1:25 - the salesperson who I usually have the relationship with at my chosen AD sold one of these pieces, he said there were only a handful of pieces made. Also, I have recently seen a couple of off-catalogue pieces for sale in ADs, including a 36mm Day-Date with a diamond pave dial and turquoise green leather strap (£82,000 GBP), as well as Lady DJ pieces in full diamonds (£130,000 GBP).
@mr.laza1 I’m keeping them to myself otherwise they’ll get inundated and won’t have any more pieces for me (such as the GMT I recently picked up from the window whilst walking past)
just curious as to what level of authorization it takes to be able to order an off-catelogue piece from the AD. or are they only offered to celebrities and professional athletes?......would an average guy with an exceptional spend history be able to get one from the AD?
I wonder if anyone did an actual expose on the mark up on Rolex watches whether they would actually have the same appeal. All seems a bit Emperor's New Clothes to me.

My $300 vintage pocket watch and chain outclass any Rolex wristwatch by a large margin and only the chain is visible. Why don't Rolex just make their watches 200mm so people can notice you easier then you won't have to make so many hand gestures looking like your calling for a life guard every two minutes. Lucky they don't overwind . Those seeking more recognition can try to buy an old Rolex wall clock and have a watch maker.put a strap on it.
