Grand cathedral is better for grinding. Just like the goblins, youd be getting 3 A EXP each defeated skeleton, and they infinitely spawn. The cathedral requires far less traveling back and forth, except to ocassionally save your progress by a conveniently nearby room and restore the crystal's health if it's been accidentally depleted a bit. I broke it down elsewhere, but I'll repost it here for more specifics: "Doing this with infinite spawning skeletons at the Cathedral, you'll net 3 A EXP with each enemy defeat. It takes approximately 12 - 15 minutes to gain just about 1000 A EXP. You may be abke to slightly optimize that a bit, possivly even getting it down to 11 or even 10 minutes, but its unlikely with the slight length of time takes for them to respawn, so I'd say 12 minutes to be on the safe end. If you did this optimally, you'll want to use three level 20 archetypes, one for each party member, when grinding for the fruits. Let's just say for the ease of it that your other archetypes are all level 1 with no experience put into them yet. Next, you'll need thirteen fruits to fully level each archetype from level With that in mind, it will take five runs (60 - 75 minutes) to fully level an archetype, utilizing 13 fruits plus 2 held left over. The next two archetypes will take four runs (48 - 60 minutes) plus one fruit left over from the first run for each archetype. So, to level up three archetypes, you're looking at 2.6 - 3.25 hours. After leveling all archetypes available to you at this point, you could spend an additional 6.6 - 8.25 hours grinding for x99 fruits. Of course, this is after the grind getting your initial archetypes for each character up to level 20. You'll also net around 4,500 MAG and 8,600 MONEY each 12 - 15 minute run. I don't remember the EXP gain numbers at the moment. Note that on the third day (and maybe the second), the MAG exchange rate is X3. You can rake in a huge amount of money early on and purchase several higher end pieces of equipment and items available to you at this point. Which, I'd do before heading off the face Guptauros on the third day. Edit: you'll get 2 EXP per enemy defeated. in a 12 - 15 minute run, you'll net 668 EXP. You'll also have quite a few muddled swords or whatever to appraise and sell for profit." In total, you could be looking at 20 to 30 some-odd-hours to max out every archetype, plus your game time beforehand.
I prefer the spot in the Catacombs with the infinitely spawning Skeletons. As long as you don't kill the red flower. Not much xp for each, but also no running around. Also gives you a chance to level up monk class.
Almost maxed out on the demo, coming up on 20hrs played, all archs maxed, currently at 60+ Hero's Leaf of Light, level 30 on all 3 characters. In the words of Peter Griffin "I'm so fucking ready!"
I'm farming this dungeon as well already at level 25 and i have maxed around 10 archtypes and hopefully enough money to buy the accessories that actually grants an extra move to a character in the (night) magic shop
Man. Some of yall have issues on how others play the game. Yall really need to do better. If ya boy wants to grind and farm. He can do that. Sheesh. 😆 You aint gotta do what he do. Personally i like to do all side missions first, grind then pursue the main misson. That way I DOMINATE my foes. If you dont like how I play the game. O well. Kick rocks. I appreciate this video fam. Im gonna grind using this method as soon as i get home. 😎
I did it the hard way. Since I went into the main dungeon immediately I'm stuck there and don't want to lose progress by leaving. So I just grinded on the respawning dogs in the first floor area. If I enter academia they spawn infinitely. It took me a while but I got decent progress on everyone's archetypes and levels but didn't get to op and no rank 20 archetypes yet. Think I'm gonna take a break and just wait till the full game is out, since I can't progress further in the dungeon and don't wanna waste a day by leaving
I’ll unlock the second dungeon, but I’ll continue on with the main story. Don’t see the benefit of being overleveled in this game, just like how the increased difficulty doesn’t add any rewards. I just want the best gear and items, but knowing this is Atlus they’ll punish you without a guide
so max MAG stat, farm the mines till you get max med herbs, then i was thinking what about doing the catacombs on the first day get to the end and get access to brawler, then do the wisdom 2 gain, then head to this dungeon and farm till game releases. that way we can max brawler as well?
what level do you reccomend farming to in the caves ? What is the best way to distribute stats for MC prefferably for mage and healer? how do you unlock the sword surfing?
You can start farming as soon as you unlock it, Im going Magic main stat, and just go through the story... you will unlock sword surfing on 6/12 I think...
the weapon that strohl has is from beating the dragon. after you get to level 2 wisdom, at the church you can purify it and it gains more attack and fire affinity!
What level are you in the goblin cave? I'm around 11 and they still show up as "yellow" instead of "blue" so I have to battle them in turn based combat.

This side quest area is good for the archetype, the skeletons are good for collecting weapons and items to sell.

Grinding/xp farms are a massive part of what makes RPG’s fun. If you have never had a blast grinding XP you’re probably not a gamer.
