I've been waiting for this game for 7 years every since atlus said they were doing a fantasy game back in dec 2016 when they first brought up project re fantasy. It's kind of insane that this game didn't have any gameplay or even an actual name until last year. The last i remember hearing about it was when hulkenberg (who didn't have a name then and a different design) was added as a dlc portrait for etrian Odyssey Nexus on the 3ds (which i still have). I loved what i played in the demo and my favorite part was when i beat a boss in an optional dungeon that was 12 lvl higher then me (it took a few tries and a lot of luck but double knight and 1 warrior got me through). (Also your drawing of louis is really great I'm really impressed by it. I'm pretty impressed by him as a villain so far, he's definitely got my attention)
5:00 in persona 5 social links give you special abilities that FEEL very rewarding, like pulling yourself to enemies with grabbling hook, or insta kill weaker enemies, or switch party members during combat and more…, I genuinely hope metaphor does the same, and not just to upgrade Archetypes
I think this game seems to do a better job without making the game super easy either bc some of those abilities felt too good tbh but this time u actually unlock/ "catch" them through the relationships instead which feels like it makes them more of a necessity

You should definitely check out the Shin Megami Tensei games i'd say Metaphor follows closely with the tone and difficulty of those games. Plus they typically stray away from highschool.
They did say something about fixing performance on PC or at least the fact they are aware there is a performance bug. I really hope they fix it soon, as I really want to play it on my steam deck when it releases!
I play the demo the demo second time setting it for my best playthrough. I really wanted to do the brigitta dungeon but way too under levelled to be worth it. It is so smooth and so good. Why did I play the demo😭😭. I cannot wait for full game. The beginning section is way better than persona 5 which makes it easier for people to get into the world.
The Brigitta quest dungeon is definitely entertainingly hard. I'm planning on a third run where I'm gonna farm the breakable spawners in the main dungeon until I'm high enough level to bulldoze everything without Squad fights and *_then_* go fight the Guptauros.

my intrest for this game came from my love for persona 5, which is my favorite jrpg of all time, and knowing its the same team, my intrest was naturally peaked! and so far im very impressed, finished the demo and a good chunk of the first real dungeon as far as the demo let me, and i love how same, but also diffrent it feels from persona 5, it still shares a lot of the same gameplay systems, but more refined, and with a very diffrent tone/writing style and worldbuilding that sets it apart completly, often times i was forgetting that i was basically playing a "mediveal fantasy persona" which speaks FOR the game. also the music is fire af, altho not as "catchy" as persona music which lies in the nature of things tho, orchestral music tends to be less catchy than more pop style music, but nevertheless amazing and fitting to the games world! i cant wait for the full game, definitely a goty contender so far and i wish more people would talk about this game..
THANK YOU! FINALLY, someone said it: this game screams Fire Emblem meets fantasy Persona, and if you like traditional jrpg battle mechanics, we're all going nutty for it. Also kinda reminds me of Bravely Default in the careful planning of battle sequences but I digress because that's a very far comparison, since there isn't speeding up extra actions.
I just really appreciate Atlus devs doing something refreshing and creating new IP when everything jrpg these days seems to be a sequel, remake or remaster of some kind
Persona 5 had me hooked instantly, so I am very interested in this for sure. I actually like the time management aspect, it adds a strategic layer to everything - though it can be a bit stressful I agree. The social link stuff is kind of hit or miss, and depends greatly on the performances of the characters (and what you get out of it I suppose)
Louis design is so good, and please release that drawing in ur Etsy. And I’m 9 hours in the demo! And I haven’t finished it yet, I love this world, and just taking my time learning it. I also heard that you won’t be able to every dungeon if you don’t use your time wisely, so yeah, time gonna be factor. I beat the dragon, but I assume you can go back and fight it if you didn’t, but it’ll waste a day.
My last save file before the demo ended is in the dungeon outside of the city (the lady in black side quest), so I just keep xp farm until lv23 with all the mc archtypes at full master level Also if you use the mage archtype, it will fill your mp for every enemy beaten
Im about to replay the demo myself because i found out that dialogue choice about your biggest strength affects your starting stats and i picked the strength one despite going all into magic for my mc.
@@gregorycoleman2149 I imagine there will be multiple magic based archetypes for me to switch, definitely wanna have a focus instead of spreading myself thin
I definitely gotta play again. I keep getting my ass whipped by that worm. i’m only on level 7. Others are on level 10 by this point. The worm that disappears underground before it gets you. It’s now a horror movie the way I gotta run from that enemy. It doesn’t help that i’m playing on hard either lol.
From what I've played, Metaphor takes all my favourite systems and ideas from Persona and SMT to mix it together. I prefer by far SMT combat system over Persona's. I never enjoyed the all out attack system from Persona. Because of this system 95% of fights consist in exploiting all enemies weaknesses then do an AOA. Even against boss, most of the time, the best way to proceed is to buff/debuff and then do an AOA. Because of this system, the combat gets repetitive really quickly. Here, with the SMT system, every encounter is interesting, exploiting enemy weakness is strong by giving you an additional turn but not always the best option. The absence of AOA removes the "i'm gonna exploit all enemy weaknesses once and that's it" strategy, adding a huge layer of depth to combat. Here you really need to assess each enemy. Can i kill everyone in one turn? if not who to prioritise attacks on ? Etc. The addition of the real time combat really smoothes combat as well. It's a great way to quickly dispatch of low level enemy without having to enter in a real turn based fight a'd it's also a much more involving and fun system to create a combat advantage against "your level" enemies. I also never really enjoyed the persona fusion mechanic from Persona and SPT. The system has always been extremely tedious to use. Having to make sure that you have as many spells available among your personas, making sure that if you fuse those 2 persona together, you may lose spells so you need to either use the appropriate skill card or make sure that another of your persona already had this skill. Plus the whole "what can I fuse if I retrieve a persona from the compendium" aspect requiring to look at fusion calculator on the internet to know what can be fused (only SMT5 fixed this issue with the addition of reverse compendium fusions. I'm still baffled that P3R doesn't include this feature). Basically i dislike rhe fusion system it's too time consuming and tedious to use to make it fun imo. Plus having to remember which skill each of your Persona has to make sure you're not deleting a percious skill when fusing Persona is so tedious. Here with the archetype system, everything is so much smoother. You really need to think about which archetypes tonise for which character + archetypes synergies + inherited skills + which archetypes do I want to level for which character making the whole system really fun and engaging. It also heavily reduces the power imbalance you have between characters compared to Persona. In Persona, the MC being aboe to use 12 Persona allows them to be the most useful and powerful character in 99% of the situations. Here in Metaphor, all characters seem equally strong and useful. The MC is not overpowered compared to the other characters. I also really like how the whole social link aspect is intertwined with archetypes. From what we can see from the demo, raising bonds with character is really mandatory to strengthen and open new possibilities for your archetypes. It was kind of the case with P5 where you regularly unlocked new combat bonuses when raising social links but most of those upgrades were not really useful. In P3R it's 10 times worse where raising ranks would only offer a bonus XP when fusing a new persona of the same arcana (which tbh wasn't making a huge difference). As mentioned, here in Metaphor, raising social links seems absolutely mandatory to progress the archetype system, making it far more engaging. Finally the fantasy setting is far more interesting to me than the typical highschool settings of Persona. Persona was getting really repetitive, 3 games with the highschool setting is really starting to get boring. Tbh, i'm not sure that making P6 in a school setting is a good idea, I would love Atlus try another setting for P6 but I digrace. I really enjoyed what I've seen so far from the universe and characters from Metaphor and want to see how it evolves and expands. Really can't wait for the game release !
I'm not bothered by the school/reality setting at all personally, but I agree with the rest. Those aren't even major gripes I realised I had about other games, but I realise I like the merging of the systems for the exact same reasons. I also like the SMT flexibility of how to build MC, as well as the protagonist using different weapons in the overworld which I haven't seen since the original P3 on the PS2.
First, I watched all my ads for you xD Second, I'm so excited you are giving this a go and enjoying it, especially after the first answer I got when I mentioned it on stream! Third, I do like most of the bits of Persona and SMT. I'm to get Vengeance in a holiday sale *fingers crossed*
Ive never play SMT somehow. I played a lot of persona games but couldn't finish them all. That said, Metaphor has grabbed me and sunk its gorgeous claws into me. Im bound to obsess over the demo until the 11th
I greatly enjoyed your commentary on the demo. I'm already salivating over the full release after being blown away by the demo. I'm a big Persona fan and have noticed how many aspects of Metaphor feel immediately familiar to elements from that series, but evolved/remixed in very interesting ways, with the addition of mechanics from SMT being mixed in to make the whole experience feel like the ultimate culmination of things the team has learned from previous titles. Small things like the "brainless" laying around the capital being reminiscent of "apathy syndrome" from P3 makes me feel seen and embraced as a steadfast fan of Atlus' legacy. The story already feels more mature and sensitive than Persona (even though I adore Persona), and I'm deeply interested in the social/political/cultural commentary being made alongside the metacontextual narrative twist coated over everything. It seems like they're laying down the foundation for a critically and emotionally laden topical narrative that's very considerate and contemporary in its structure.
6:23 This is like the combo attacks from Chrono Trigger, but it’s more akin to the combo moves from Digital Devil Saga. Many synergies like Matarukaja on Seeker are a means to have a character perform a spell that is accessible on a future archetype earlier on. It’s a really cool system and adds a lot more perfection to the strategy and structure of fleshing out party members!
I have played any SMT yet but I'm looking forward to Vengence. It would be cool to see your drawings of the female demons like Lilith in Vengence. I also can't wait for Metaphor R. I always love the villains too 😊
From what I know the time management mentioned at 9:12 is if anything more strict in a sense with players being unable to see everything/every dungeon on a single play through with travel times being a big factor of the game, I myself likely will have a few issues with such as I really am saddened when I miss out on things, but I still do think I overall will enjoy the game, and such does grant the game replay value, however not many would be all that willing to replay a 100 hour game just to see some missed content. overall though I greatly enjoyed the setting and set up for the world and characters so far, and I'm interested to see how the game turns out, then again I was 100% going to get the game day 1 regardless of the demo or not.
Also there are a number of neat nods to other Atlus titles such as the soul hacker being referred to as a class along with samurai, and I believe devil summoner as well. it certainly seems like it's a celebration of Atlus's series I would not be suprised if some demonica's from strange journey appeared given the soundtrack.
I’m new to the persona/SMT games. I need to play persona 4&5. I liked SMT 5 but wouldn’t say I love it that being said just starting the metaphor demo and wow, it’s amazing!
6:23 there's also synergy attacks that require all three party members, like the Fire spell Meteophor (Metaphor+Meteor lmfao) that requires either two Mages and a Healer *_or_* Three Mages.

I think what you meant about how noisy the UI is might be a factor to why I'm a bit reticent on the game. Granted that I initially also kinda disliked Persona 5 UI until I got used to it, so this might just be the same thing.
I’ve played through twice as well. Once to learn mechanics and the second to set up a few save files that are ready to go once release day arrives. Definitely played around different choices to see if I could get different results and found you can play up to 6 archetypes - Mage, Warrior, Knight, Healer, Brawler, Seeker - (the 7th being Merchant but haven’t found a way to be able to play it before the demo cut off) Can also go through two dungeons, one you can farm to your hearts content/as long as your repetition boredom doesn’t kick in. Enjoying it all so far and looking forward to full release.
I did this too! One run for the story, and a second run to beat the dragon, and get my Wisdom to rank 2 for Brigitta's quest and so I could Purify some stuff. I might do another run to fight the dragon with 2 Mages instead of a Mage and 2 Knights, while also doing some grinding, because I wasn't able to beat the guptauros, and despite being level 14, I wasn't able to beat the demo-ending miniboss either. I also got super close to hitting Rank 10 with my Healer class. I think I'll go all the way through to the demo's last miniboss while farming the infinite spawners, try to get rank 10 on a Healer, and _then_ go defeat the guptauros instead of going for it first, as I ended up wasting all my healing supplies against the gobrons. I've honestly not been this excited for a game in *_ages._* Even with other games that I've wanted I'd pay a demo once, but I'm sitting here planning out how to minmax a *_third_* run, lmao
@@SuperiorPosterior I ended up doing that similar style run! I avoided the dragon the first time and instantly regretted it when the bridge broke. I did MC mage and double warrior for that, hitting the ice weakness and landing some good crits (definitely keeping Mage in back row). I wish we could get Wisdom to 2 within a single day. Unfortunately when you do complete the quest of hers, when you report back, time passes and you lose a chance to explore the other dungeon. So I basically have two saves now where one is me skipping fulfilling the request to do the second dungeon in case it’s like Persona 5 where if you get the main dungeon done early, you can spend the rest of the timeline to increase bonds, etc. The second save I have is having completed the request and unlocking Merchant class and to do the dungeon the next day which I’m over leveled for now easily when the game fully drops.
I have heard tales of the PC performance being underwhelming, luckily I played on PS5 so it didn't strike me TOO bad, but as I said in the video, it could certainly look better from a technical standpoint!
Im not here to convert anyone to Persona, I think not liking it is totally valid. However I do want to point out Persona 5 specifically addressed your issue at ~4:57 by giving tangible perks to every social link across their ranks, such as increasing inventory selections for certain shops, extra options during demon negotiation or allowing you to have extra free time during time periods you normally wouldnt. In games prior to P5, I agree social links were primarily about the character lore and didn't have a ton of substance, so I appreciate P5 making most ranks of social links feel impactful.
I am actually trying to convert MYSELF into Persona, as tastes change over the course of time, and I think that allowing myself to dive into them because of how much I've enjoyed the other Atlus games is something I can be really excited for!
I had to stop playing the demo about an hour into it because i know that when i finish it im going to be devistated when i finish it and have to wait for the full game
I didn’t go to sleep around 1am last night and it’s so awesome especially the characters and the story so far. The battle system is awesome but hopefully we can avoid turn based abit and focus more on primarily real time. I do like turn based but it could get repetitive after awhile. However I do love mix real time and turn based battle system which is awesome.
This game might be one of my top anticipated games of the year thus far this game will probably get at least a 4/5 for me in particular. I've always liked the persona series and Shin Megami Tensei series Even though I have not actually played personally every single one of them. I would personally recommend the majority of them to anyone who likes turnbased strategy style gameplay in a group or team-based format when it comes to combat-related stuff. I love the way they art direction went as well.
In my opinion. Louis is more of Chaos Faction Hero and not just a villain. His disposition is more or less like Hikawa from SMT 3 Nocturne. He forced a kingdom to "commit suicide" in order to reborn anew with his ideals. While Forden is the one who want to preserve the old rule (Order) that has been running for so long. Also a character named More, while he had Igor / Philemon vibe, but I feel he is a bit hiding his sinister agenda more like Yaldabaoth.
I think More is trapped and is using the main character to get out, also his eyes, have that dark void type look, which usually means bad news, for now this is just speculation on my part, but it's not long now until we play the full game and see it ourselves I hope that everyone has a good time with this game and also wish everyone a good day/evening
@@babaduk7679When I read your comment, I am reminded on how Igor and Philemon was first introduced in Persona series. Their designs are shady as hell, looked like to have a hidden agenda, but in the end, they are a helper to the very end.
All these videos keep making me more excited for when my copy comes in. Loved reload and vengeance so I'm hoping this rounds out the year for me for atlus i.p. with a nice and neat bow. Is the game fully voiced acted or just some parts? I've been asking this and no one answers it. I'll try the demo, don't know when I'll have time for it though. For me, the game looks fantastic, but if it's only half voice acted, that's an extremely turn off for me and I rather wait for a huge sale.
@@buddylord3276 I see, the reason I asked was cause in some trailers there some some parts that were not voice acted. Which caused me to cancel my pre order
I've tried playing persona and the trails series many times.. and every single time I really get into it for about 30 hours because I love the combat systems... but then I just cant take all the dialogue anymore so I quit playing... theres just so... much.... talking... I cant take it. So I want to play this game but I'm sure it's going to be the exact same way
That is also my worry too, but I definately find myself more engaged in this world than the others you mentioned! The number of times I've tried to get into Trails and Persona, because I KNOW how good they are, and it just doesn't hit for me! Makes me sad 😭
As someone who been playing countless jrpg's for the past 25 years. I couldn't get into this demo/game. Not because it's bad but it's the embodiment of every jrpg I ever played and gives off hard I'm 14 and this is deep vibes even for persona/smt standards. Playing the demo felt like a chore because I kept saying I heard this dialogue hundreds times before but in other games. It's very pretty and artistic but not by any means new. If you're new to jrpg's or in your mid 20s and just barely dipping your toes in the genre then yes this game is for you. But if you're a old fart like me you basically played this game dozens times before. It not bad but also not original.
Me being older, and play almost exclusively jrpgs, my mindset is don't try and fix what isn't broken. And I'm loving this game for that exact reason. Just do what works. Because the moment they stray, it's usually a disaster. I'm picking it up day 1.
Funnily enough 3 Houses is my LEAST favourite Fire Emblem game because of it's heavy focus on social links, I much prefer the older games like Path of Radiance and Blazing Blade, but I might have to revisit it again soon with a renewed view!
@@Joesephyr I liked Three houses but the story really takes a lot of time to really start, and some important parts you don't even get if you don't play all 4 routes so its a bit of a slow burn game, Path of radiance and Goddess of dawn are my favorites, and I hope the next one isnt like the newest one, really disliked the aesthethics of Engage
....Persona doesn't handle sexuality and inequality themes well? Why are the people who never actually play Persona 4 say what they assume about the characters? They try to devalue characters such as Kanji and Naoto by labeling them as "oh he's gay and she's trans" when first off no that is not true, Kanji is implied to be bisexual and Naoto has a deeper and more mature story that the characters learn to understand. Second, the whole point to their characters is how society tries to label them by their gender or sexuality and ignores all the other aspects of their character. It's a really frustrating conflict the characters have in their own personal story and it seems to apply to real life with some people just assuming stuff without bothering to actually pay attention to what the story is trying to tell you through these characters. Sorry, I understand your assumption is from limited knowledge of Persona but it frustrates me how this preconceived notion exists. As a Japanese game series it is not the most progressive, however these themes when they are delved into are not handled "poorly" in my opinion. There is only one Persona game that does go into these themes (Persona 4) and while it isn't perfect (cutting a gay romance that would show the audience the realism of the best character in the game, making him look like a typical homophobe without context unless you analyze his behavior well enough). Also where tf did you pick up themes of sexuality in the Metaphor demo???
Not liking persona is equivalent of sniffing markers. If someone tells me they don't like persona there rpg opinions officially don't matter. Cool video and glas you like the game.
What an interesting take XD I find that the reasons I play RPGs don't gel well with Persona, and it's setting doesn't grab me in the same way a lot of other games do, but I'm happy to try again!
It is serious time constraints, that's... the point of the world. If you don't like time constraints SMT's are good for that. Persona is all about time constraints, Metaphor is a mix of persona (social aspects and time management + new travel management) and SMT (turn based combat, SMT V kajas and kundas). Honestly for me it's the absolute perfect combination
I cant decide on this game. I am a SMT fan by origin. So i heard of persona later. And i absolutely do not like persona. This game has just a tad too much visual resemblance to persona. Just too much teenage angst visually. I wish they had let it be its own thing visually. Because everyone is saying it is its own thing gameplay wise. Im still scarred from soul hackers feeling more like persona than smt.
I actually agree with a lot of this, but I was pleasantly surprised by this, who knows how the final game will turn out, but I'm looking forward to trying!
Enjoyed the demo very much its good to see Atlus able to put out something that is different with high quality thats not related to bloody persona5, i am noticing more rpg are putting out demos recently which i think is such a smart idea.
i played the demo and i dont like it because im feling that im playing persona , i dont wante that , i wante a real new game from atlus that have no similarities with any game before
Really ? I don't get it. This game is badly written, seen a hundred times, character so far are so generic and lack personality, technically this is a PS3 game, loading screens everywhere, and lastly I'm fed up with the "racism" theme in the game. Good guys are good cause they are good and the bad guy and other random people are ... mostly bad because they can't stand the protagonist, only because he's from a minority. I don't play games to be once again lectured about real world issues. I just finished the first so called boss honestly I don't want to go further and I canceled my preorder. Perhaps I shouldn't have, I think I'll pass and wait for reviews of the complete game.
My brother in Christ, it's the first 5 hours in a 100+ hour rpg, they all start a least a little generic until it pulls the curtain back. We can already see hints of this with shit like the humans, the 'fantasy book', and More
What in the word. Lol all fantasy stories mirror and are related to our world. We are human. Do you think we are Gods that can come up with shit we’ve never seen before lol.

@@phrinus I’m referring more to the fact that he thinks racism in a fantasy story is “preaching.” That’s like saying violence and love and stuff shouldn’t be in fantasy. Such basic concepts that make up life lol.
With this kind of attitude no wonder you quit after 30 minutes. Seriously people need to stop have an attention span of kindergarden child and let the game breathe and let the characters / plot develop. Also, pacing of this game is really fucking fast so I don't know how did you get bored, but alright.
Sometimes the best characters are the ones we feel strongest towards, like Jeffrey Baratheon, you don't have to LIKE the person to resonate with getting strong feelings from/towards them, if that makes sense? He's a TERRIBLE person, but so was Griffith, the character he's clearly inspired by, and he's one of the most iconic villains in modern fictional history

Never played SMT, loved my experience with Persona!
Also a huge Final Fantasy fan.
Metaphor is REALLY sick, right up my alley
my intrest for this game came from my love for persona 5, which is my favorite jrpg of all time, and knowing its the same team, my intrest was naturally peaked! and so far im very impressed, finished the demo and a good chunk of the first real dungeon as far as the demo let me, and i love how same, but also diffrent it feels from persona 5, it still shares a lot of the same gameplay systems, but more refined, and with a very diffrent tone/writing style and worldbuilding that sets it apart completly, often times i was forgetting that i was basically playing a "mediveal fantasy persona" which speaks FOR the game. also the music is fire af, altho not as "catchy" as persona music which lies in the nature of things tho, orchestral music tends to be less catchy than more pop style music, but nevertheless amazing and fitting to the games world! i cant wait for the full game, definitely a goty contender so far and i wish more people would talk about this game..
Yeah demo is very impressive for me
I’m ❤’ing it! The story drew me in right away! (Another huge SMT fan here also! Picked up Nocturne back in 2004 and been hooked since!)
I started it tonight. The game is amazing. I can't wait to pick this up.
I just really appreciate Atlus devs doing something refreshing and creating new IP when everything jrpg these days seems to be a sequel, remake or remaster of some kind
I played 2 hours of it saving the rest till closer to release.
Wish I did that. I regret beating the demo so quickly and now I gotta wait what feels like forever
That art of Louis was awesome.
I’m so excited for the game. I’m counting down the days and loved the demo.
Thank you so much!
I can't wait for this game
My last save file before the demo ended is in the dungeon outside of the city (the lady in black side quest), so I just keep xp farm until lv23 with all the mc archtypes at full master level
Also if you use the mage archtype, it will fill your mp for every enemy beaten
Im about to replay the demo myself because i found out that dialogue choice about your biggest strength affects your starting stats and i picked the strength one despite going all into magic for my mc.
I don't think it will matter that much tbh. Particularly due to the fact that we'll have to be switching archetypes a lot
@@gregorycoleman2149 I imagine there will be multiple magic based archetypes for me to switch, definitely wanna have a focus instead of spreading myself thin
I did the same thing

Great preview - looking forward to playing it
First, I watched all my ads for you xD Second, I'm so excited you are giving this a go and enjoying it, especially after the first answer I got when I mentioned it on stream!
Can’t wait to dive into demo tonite. I also prefer smt over persona as well
6:23 This is like the combo attacks from Chrono Trigger, but it’s more akin to the combo moves from Digital Devil Saga. Many synergies like Matarukaja on Seeker are a means to have a character perform a spell that is accessible on a future archetype earlier on. It’s a really cool system and adds a lot more perfection to the strategy and structure of fleshing out party members!
I can't wait till the full release of this game, the demo got me too hyped for it
I couldn't get into persona but i dang sure do love this game just from playing the demo. Come on October. 🎉
I like how in the game they see our world as a fantasy
I should not play the demo , now i can’t wait for the full game 😢
Just started the demo there, it's a huge demo, I didn't even finish it yet

Definitely played around different choices to see if I could get different results and found you can play up to 6 archetypes - Mage, Warrior, Knight, Healer, Brawler, Seeker - (the 7th being Merchant but haven’t found a way to be able to play it before the demo cut off)
Can also go through two dungeons, one you can farm to your hearts content/as long as your repetition boredom doesn’t kick in.
Solely based on the 7 hours of demo gameplay I got, it will be a great game -- only and only if the PC performance and aliasing issues are resolved.
I have heard tales of the PC performance being underwhelming, luckily I played on PS5 so it didn't strike me TOO bad, but as I said in the video, it could certainly look better from a technical standpoint!
The archetype system made me think of FF5, except with (branching?) job progression system which is fantastic.
I didn’t know you weren’t a big Persona fan! Those games really picked me up when games like FF 13 made me lose hope in the universe.
Demo available? I'ma try it out 🔥
This game might be one of my top anticipated games of the year thus far this game will probably get at least a 4/5 for me in particular.
Atlus themselves said that Louis should be considered a "second protagonist" so you're spot on
I think More is trapped and is using the main character to get out, also his eyes, have that dark void type look, which usually means bad news, for now this is just speculation on my part, but it's not long now until we play the full game and see it ourselves
I hope that everyone has a good time with this game and also wish everyone a good day/evening
Sega still has more stuff for me to enjoy with sonic x shadow and, hopefully, ends the year with a bang with Sonic 3.

Honestly it felt like Ni No Kuni 2 but with extra steps.
Me being older, and play almost exclusively jrpgs, my mindset is don't try and fix what isn't broken. And I'm loving this game for that exact reason. Just do what works. Because the moment they stray, it's usually a disaster. I'm picking it up day 1.
it’s a good game but the persona gameplay formula needs some more variation
My time management is shit with persona games

....Persona doesn't handle sexuality and inequality themes well?
Persona > SMT all day
I enjoyed persona but going to school every day I found boring
Me too!
Not liking persona is equivalent of sniffing markers. If someone tells me they don't like persona there rpg opinions officially don't matter.
Cool video and glas you like the game.
What an interesting take XD
I find that the reasons I play RPGs don't gel well with Persona, and it's setting doesn't grab me in the same way a lot of other games do, but I'm happy to try again!
No monster collecting and no time constraints? Finally an atlus rpg for me.
I think there might be time constraints for some things but it’s not clear how serious it is.
