That's exactly the size of my pool 20x40 and 9 1/2 ft deep at the one end.
So thanks for answering that it isn't too big.
I'm only at the beginning of this journey but I think it's a great idea!

same! We needed a new liner and instead of turning into a huge swimming pool for two people (that's so much water and chemicals for just us), we're going to turn it into a pond! :) good luck!

Could you Please make a video, showing the various stages, or is there a STAGES or steps to follow ?? My pool is small 35 ft by 16 ft 3 to 9 ft deep. Do I need to put in FILTERS , and about gravel bed for fish to Spawn in, how big, how deep ?? I would like to raise Tilapia ? What kind of other fish could go good with them ? And I think Tilapia are moss eaters ? But , where does their poop go? Could u please do one of these videos??
    Thank you!!

You inspired us to do the same with our swimming pool. It's St.Patty's Green, but doesn't smell at all, and looking good so far.
I frequently remind myself of what you said, "Just have to keep your nerve." LOL!
    Thanks, mate! ;)

Thanks to Peter Clarke & Jo Harris (what a lovely lady in the blue cap), we have a new pond and
are enjoying it every day. Much more to do, but so far, so good, and only in ~3 months.
And the ducks love it, too. ;)

This is a fantastic video! Does any one know if she is using filtration, aeration or a pump?

Everything about this is awesome, great video, except drinking the water...I ran my pond water thru a microscope, once you see that you'll never think of drinking it again. The things in the water are not bad, in fact they're healthy, things like rotifers and isopods...but don't drink them.

Not all Quick Builds are Rubbish, they slowly add Plants and improve Pond as time goes by just like most who love wildlife or Ponds! Also why don’t you like Koi Fish?

I noticed that there is no fence. I have a plunge pool and want to turn it into a natural pond. We dont have a fence either. What depth does the pond need to be without a fence?

Hi Lori, this pool actually dose have a fence, its just the yard is so big that you don't see it in the video. As far as I know a pool doesn't have to be very deep to require a fence.

@@greenstylenorthIt seems I cannot have a pond as our small pool is right on the timber dividing fence of our neighbour. I am gutted that i have no choice but to turn it into a garden instead. I wish parents could be responsible for their own children instead of making everyone in Australia have to install a pool fence. What about all the streams, rivers, surf beaches, national parks, and botanical gardens. Yes Im angry that I cannot have a pond.

The new pond has been a huge success. Many thanks to Peter & Jo for the inspiration. =)

I have a 30x30x6' pond and lost 22 large koi when hurricane Michael knocked out power for days and I had no aeration for my koi. How can koi survive in this pool with no aeration?

Enough plants will oxygenate and filter the water naturally.
