Oh wow, the Traveler's identity was foreshadowed this early on. The old gnoll refers to him as a "fair folk", which is a term used to describe the fey. So even this gnoll was aware that he was a powerful fey creature rather than a proper god.
I jump on these when you put them up. Ever since finishing the campaign these are giving me lifeblood. I’ve been going through all of the Dimension20 campaigns that are on RUclips and absolutely loving it but watching this again just reminds me that there is an insane and special quality to CR. Hearing Jester be Jester just fills my heart with nerd joy
Caleb handing over the dodecahedron was honestly the best possibly play for them, even though everyone at the table was very tunnel-visioned on keeping it. Them having their equipment searched would've been disastrous for their reputation
Pretty sure he's like 120, not 200. He says he's only part way into his second century - which would mean in his 100's :3 Since first century - 0 to 100 years. Second century - 100 to 200 years.
“Like inspecting a horse you’re about to purchase” Matt, idk what kind of people you’ve been buying horses through, but you may wanna rethink those connections.
The fight to reclaim the giants' lair has stood out in my mind for a long time after watching this campaign. It wasn't the creepiest moment in the campaign by a longshot, but it was still a fair bit more tense/grim than most of the party's previous encounters, with all the undead and demonic shit going on in a dark cave complex. And how little information they had prior to the combat. It really felt like one of the Alien movies, with the human characters walking into alien territory and having no idea what the fuck is about to happen, just that it's going to be something really, really bad. But it also was a good display of Taliesin's tactical thinking as Caduceus. Giving Beau the ol' paladin punches was a badass upgrade to the party's damage output against those enemies. Cancelling that auto-crit on Fjord saved his fucking life. Doing triage with his spell slots to make sure he didn't fully deplete his ability to heal too early is kind of a cleric 101 moment, but shit - a lot of people fail that class. He did some of his own damage, but really, it was a good demo of how a "support class" can still be a powerful force driving a party even if they don't get the spotlight from landing huge hits or killing blows. It's a co-op game. Paving the road for the team to win - and better yet, make it to the end of a session without having to make a new character - is just as valuable as smacking the dogshit out of an enemy. Maybe even more. That said, I still do adore Laura Bailey for playing a cleric as a damage-dealer, just for the sake of reminding people that clerics can be fucking badass, where I think a lot of new players unfortunately assume playing a cleric means being a devoted pacifist who only exists to save the party money on health potions. Two clerics, two extremely different but totally viable roles in the game. I love how creative the CR cast can be with the game's mechanics vs old tropes. This party had a cleric that rarely healed anyone, a powerfully introverted barbarian, a punk monk, a warlock that broke good, and a rogue that was afraid of damn near everything. Then again in campaign 3 with the kind and wholesome zombie woman, the thieving druid, and a cleric that started off being practically some kind of atheist despite his wacky youth pastor demeanor.
feels like at ~35:00 Beau fully gaslighted Caleb. Because Caleb's right, Beau came for him before, made it totally seem like she didn't trust his judgment. Then she turned it around on him by trying to make it seem like it's been about Caleb's lack of trust the whole time.
it was lythir!! he's only in a couple of episodes but he's the dunamancy wizard the mighty nein fight when they first arrive in xhorhas (alongside the muck men). he's one of the reasons they give up the beacon, as the bright queen goes to arrest them after lythir turns them in.
43:20 I'm so sorry Laura Bailey but I find it absolutely fucking HOT OH my fucking gods what the fuck 😩😩😩😩😩 Is it the sound or is it just Marisha Ray I can't tell anymore XD

It kills meeeeeeeee. They're all so soft and I love it. Just from around 30:55 I'm dyyying.
OW! My little heart!!!!
Love this moment!
I NEVER NOTICED LIAM AND HIS RING AHHHHH 😍😭😍😭😍😭😍😭
This was one of the most beautiful moments of C2. I have seen it 3 times, and it still makes me tear up.
I loved Travis' litlte "Yyyyes!" when Yasha's dream started. I love how hyped the cast gets when cool character stuff is happening.
Travis is the group hype man I love his screaming anytime Yasha goes into a rage
Oh wow, the Traveler's identity was foreshadowed this early on. The old gnoll refers to him as a "fair folk", which is a term used to describe the fey. So even this gnoll was aware that he was a powerful fey creature rather than a proper god.
Caleb giving back the Beacon will NEVER cease to be epic.
19:55 "If you are no friend to the Empire, you have certainly today become heroes of the Dynasty."
Such a powerful line!
Can’t wait for it to be animated 😩

Man I love when fjord intimidates bodo. Travis is amazing
What a brilliant way to rewatch campaign 2 in a more time sensitive way
Fjord intimidating the foreman is always fantastic to see
20:16 "You look like you feel hopeful, Caleb."
23:43 "I don't have a word limit now, buddy!"
32:33 "Campaign."

Fjord: And what do we call you?
Essek: Shadowhand Essek Thelyss
Me: and so it begins! (hot wizard boi, spoiler, spoiler, so much spoiler!)
Essek: "Oh yeah I'm kinda young- only 200 years old."
Me: Goddamn elves-
That translates to elven 20's i think?

@@g3mkn1ght60 Essek is around 21 - 22 in human years. Maybe 23.
Thanks for all the work Astro, love seeing old moments

Thank you for making these!
Does anyone know what the music is that plays at 34:49?
Great work. One question though: Who was Jester talking to about cinnamon?

@@astroeditscr right right. That's why he's taking everything with a grain of salt. Thanks
I can't believe they didn't say Harry P****.
That would have been too easy.
Beau was 24???
Marisha sneezing on Liam was TOTALLY COVID Patients Zero and One, right?
