I’m waiting on my first ever iPad and I’m going with the m4 pro 11” with 256gb storage and WiFi +5G . Just got my first Mac mini m4 base model and the iPhone 16 pro max. Figured if I am going with apple might as well be a few products deep to really check out how well ecosystem is.
Apple could literally just reuse the chasis of the current pro and pair it with the LCD 120 hz of the M1/M2 iPad Pro and share the same Magic Keyboard to simplify the lineup.
Well I’m pretty sure more than 80% of iPad Air buyers don’t even know the difference between ProMotion and 60 hz in a display, so from this Apple doesn’t really need to put a feature that won’t benefit common people
My guess is that it's because of the M2 chip having aging hardware compared to even the A17 Pro and M4. At the time of release, M1, based on A14, wouldn't have been that old.

LCD 120hz Or oled with 60hz
Both will be great
But as we all know apple is apple 😂😂
With m4 and such a bad screen it is bottlenecking its performance
The next ipad air is going to have M3 not M4
The new iPad air needs to have 90hz. I'm not asking for ProMotion. It's the only upgrade I care about.
