I was watching this video while chaining for chansey, myself. I got to a chain of 6 and I went into my next 4 away patch and the 7th chansey SHINED. The patch wasn't even shiny, so it was full odds! I was freaking out! Chain of 7!
That's insane! The best luck I've had with pokeradar was a chain of 11 for a shiny patch! It's about a 1/5900 chance! Yours still blows mine away! I'd love to find a non shiny patch shiny will chaining!
That's funny, that explains that I had a non-shining patch shiny. I was hunting a shiny Dusclops and as I picked my first rare patch, I got a shiny Floatzel, I was gob-smacked!
Congrats on the Shiny Chansey^0^ If Shiny Chansey is Bold Nature from Gen 4, what kind of other Move besides Seismic Toss can I run on it? ;0 I've always wanted to do this Shiny Hunt (Highest Chain I got to for Chansey was 30 something), but the thing is I didn't use a Synchronizer because I didn't think it would be good. I tried testing out Fire Blast on Showdown or even Flamethrower and it did absolute pitiful damage. So, my goal is to Catch a Chansey in LeafGreen, Transfer it up, and Breed it with a Safari Ball and Seismic Toss Egg Move for the Shiny Chansey!:D
Not many. Chansey has a horrible special attack stat and an even worse attack stat making even the strongest moves do next to nothing. Seismic toss is the only move Chansey can learn that will do decent damage because it's not affected by attack or special attack. At the time of making this I was not aware that Chansey can only learn seismic toss from the pokemon emerald move tutor or by breeding.
Setting up the chain of 40 took me nearly two hours (I played it super safe after breaking chains too much) and after the chain of 40 I got 3 shiny ponytas in 15 minutes :D Great, two for shiny living dex and one to transfer to soul silver to use as pet :P
Quick tip NEVER LEAVE THE RANGE OF THE SHAKING GRASS ( obviously don’t step out of the grass at all) but I mean if ur hunting in a huge patch of grass don’t run outside of the range where the frame skips the range it will break
Also, I keep reading on chaining and some people are saying some 4 always patches are better than others like the formation of them, and others say they're rumors. Do you pretty much go on any 4 away patch other than border ones? And how early do you starting catching?
4 patches away raise your chance of encountering the same pokemon. 1 patch away from you have a 28% chance of encountering the same pokemon, 2 patch away have 48% chance, 3 patch away have 68% chance, and 4 away have 88% chance. Catching a pokemon instead of killing it raises the odds of encountering the same pokemon by 10% so if you're 4 patches away and caught the previous pokemon you have a 98% chance of keeping the chain going or (how I like to see it) a 2% chance of breaking the chain. 2% chance of breaking the chain is way better than a 12% chance. But depending on how rare the pokemon is is when I start catching for example, when I was chaining for a Starly on route 201, I only started catching them at a chain of 35 because they have a high encounter rate even when then chain technically breaks. Chansey on the other hand is a lot more rare so I started catching them early on because if I were to break the chain, odds are the patch I broke the chain on wouldn't yield me a Chansey. Even if you "break the chain" as long as you're still encountering the same pokemon, the chain will continue. I hope all of this helps! Sorry for the extremely long reply!
Do you need to go into the sparkling patch of grass or can you do any of them to get the first chansey because I’ve been going for an hour and a half and haven’t gotten one normal chansey
It shouldn’t matter but it helps to go in the sparkling grass patches as they are easier to keep track of and continuing to go into the same type of grass patch has a higher chance of keeping your chain going! Also chansey has a 5% chance to appear so you’ll see one after about an average of 20 attempts (unless you get really unlucky that is)
No resetting the game will break the chain. If you hit a chain of 40 though you can just avoid shaking patches and just keep using the radar until a shiny patch shows.
Please can you tell me the trick for chaining. I tried like hundreds of times but my chain kept on randomly break and i dont know what am i doing wrong. The best I got is a chain of 21
You need to go for the biggest rustling patches that are 4 tiles away from you that are not directly up, down, left, right to you. They need to be at an angle. Also never enter a patch that's at the edge of the grass area. Also there is always a chance your chain randomly breaks. If you faint the pokemon you chain, it'll have a 12% chance of randomly breaking each time but if you catch every pokemon, it'll only have a 2% chance of breaking each time. I hope this helps!
The domiNATION so what I have to do is catching it? SHINY CHANSEY HERE I GO😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃. thank you so much I can’t thank you enaugh. I would have given up if I didn’t find a kind person like you. You should try the shiny female combee hunt, I know that is one of the hardest shiny hunts ever but I think you can do it. I got it after over 40000 srs and 5 phases😀.
I hunted them in the rocket game corner in fire red version. I would reset after buying three of them. There are tons of ways to hunt dratini so search up where to find dratini and find the hunt that best suits you!
Yep! The way it works is if you go to the 4 away tiles and have caught the previous Pokémon, the 4 away tile will have a 2% chance to go off of the normal encounter table. So if you are chaining a rarer Pokémon, it’s much less likely to show up when you hit the 2% which breaks your chain more often! If you go for a more common Pokémon, even hitting the 2% chance, if you encounter the same Pokémon you’re already chaining it’ll still keep your chain intact!
The poke radar allows you to chain the same Pokémon over and over again and if you follow specific steps, you can continue to find the same Pokémon. It’s hard to explain but you can search up how to chain poke radar to see how it works!
Every time you go into a perfect patch of grass, you'll still always have a 12% chance that the chain will randomly break if you KO the pokemon. If you catch the pokemon, it'll decrease it to a 2% chance to break making you significantly more likely to keep the chain going
Not 100% on what you're trying to tell me but if you're saying you're on a 167 chain, you don't need to do that. You just get to a chain of 40 then just keep reusing the radar until a shiny patch appears

Alakazam has synchronize, so if it's at the start of the party (fainted or alive) there's a 50% chance for it to pass its nature on to the wild pokemon
Because when you knock them out there's a 12% chance of your chain randomly breaking but when you catch them it's only a 2% chance of it breaking and since Chansey is a rare encounter, it's not worth risking only fainting them

It's a remix from Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Lucky egg first chansey lets fucking gooooooo

why do you need a pokémon with the bold nature
