    That was refreshing and very helpful.
    Coming across one of these second hand and rather cheap I first checked out another recent video that treated the drone like it came from the palaeolithic. Sometimes I wonder if people ask themselves "what am I getting by upgrading?". If it is needed, great. If not...
    Good news is it makes the price on these "relics" very cheap.
    I agree on 4k: Here in the "got to have the latest and greatest gadget" U.S., I would be happy if every video I made was watched in 1080. Bottom line is outside of movie theaters 4k just didn't really catch on much as a final output format people utilize. 4k for professional use? Absolutely. For someone posting homegrown RUclips videos, not really.

      Absolutely bang on. You are welcome to check out my Drone experience video of Slieve League. All spark footage. This will give you a good idea on just what this drones capabilty is like. I am also not going to pay the prices these idiots want for the next upgrade. These things devalue fast. So paying €500 one day and 6 months later it's €250. Make do with what you have and FHD is still relevant these days by a large amount of the population of earth 😂

      @@EireRider.motorcycle.adventure That was absolutely beautiful. Technically very nice both from the drone and your editing, but the light and your choice of views (and music) were excellent. I admire your nerve. That drone was out there high above the ocean waters. Bravo!
      The location is, of course, spectacular. Ireland is on my list. It looks quite beautiful.
      I live in Microsoft-Amazon-land so it may be worse here, but it is a little shocking how quickly capable hardware is regarding as relic and discarded. Its either brilliant marketing and/or..I'm really not sure...gullibility? Again, if new hardware is required to accomplish the goal, by all means, but the attitude fostering fast obsolescence is sometimes a bit patronizing.
      Anyway, thanks again for the video!

      @@maxtrixbass thanks very much for the compliment. It's one of my favourite videos sadly not many people have watched it. I think there is about 60 views. The day was beautiful and the Drone was excellent. It handles itself well in heavy wind and as you can see still very relevant. There was a guy with a mini 2 and he was concerned with the wind so he only went up for a few minutes. Much appreciated you watched that video.

    Well done Sir!; arguably one of the most underrated DJI Drones ever produced!!!; still have mine; its a keeper!!!; I think the video quality gets a "free kick" regards the sensor size; its not over sharpened which actually gives it quite a Cinematic quality (BTW, its not 1080P; its closer to 2K!!!); well built, very powerful and runs on DJI Go4 !; what more could you ask for !!!

    You keep saying that's its good quality, which a person that doesn't own one wouldn't understand, but I agree. It's a sturdy design and the plastic feels very durable. The drone feels very high quality. You're 💯 percent correct. It's a stable flier!

      Thanks very much. The minis for me I feel I too light for medium to heavy wind. I know why they have done this so you can avoid getting a drone license but as laws change this has become irrelevant. The exam is easy anyway so your just better off doing it and then you can go up to 499g weight class. Its also a legal requirement in most countries.

    I have had a Spark since the summer of 2018. actually I have 3. I bought 2 on eBay as fixer uppers. I have a new motherboard and other spares. I bought a 4 Hawks antenna. out in the country where there is no wi fi i can close to a mile. I usually fly there in sport mode, then switch to normal and loiter and explore for a few minutes then fly back sport mode. I know ur not to fly at night but I do. With the camera on only the 2 back green lights ar blinking so it's kind of hard to tell winch way the drone is pointing. if you turn the camera off the front start blinking so that helps when landing at night. The sound only records where u are not where the Spark is.

    I bought the spark ‘go fly’ package about 3 years ago and highly recommend it. There have been a couple of issues:
    The remote packed up but I replaced it easily enough from a store but the thing that really caused me a problem was that I allowed a battery to go completely flat. Once this happens you cannot recharge the battery and it is useless.

    • @EireRider.motorcycle.adventure
      @EireRider.motorcycle.adventure  Год назад

      Something I will take note of. Never run down the batteries that low. One thing I picked up the stability of this beats a dji mini 2 by a long shot. I was filming at Slieve League Cliffs in Ireland and there was a fella who had one. I had a quick chat to him and he was worried about the wind. No issue with the spark. So stable. He had some issues and left after a few minutes. Very suprised.

    Technology keeps getting better and better and unfortunately that makes the previous devices (phone, drones, PC's, etc.) obsolete in a way. You got to know that when you're going in that 6 months later there will be bigger and better. So, how long are you going to wait? It never slows down. If you wait for the next bigger and better, you may never purchase anything. So, if you want it then buy and enjoy it and learn from it. Then, when it's time to upgrade apply what you have learned to the new machine and move on. Bottom line: you can't win this battle. But on the other hand, look at all the cool things you can do with technology today that would have cost you a fortune years ago. I have a Spark, a Mini2 and the Air 2S. I didn't even try to sell my Spark. I passed it on to a young relative and he was happy as a kid in a candy factory. That was worth the loss I would have taken trying to sell it.

      Spoken like a true salesman. Haha.. Thanks Henry. Yeah I hear you I did say in the video that it's like buying phones. Unfortunately for me the upgrade cost was too much. Will run with this one a while longer and I'm sure when I do upgrade there will be something newer out so I suppose it makes sense to buy pre owned.

      Except it has slown down in the drone world....
      Mini 2 hit the sweetspot for price to value on its features Ans the mini 3 PRO or not is too expensive for a lower end of those wanting to fly cheaper.
      So no. That's not entirely the case

    • @EireRider.motorcycle.adventure
      @EireRider.motorcycle.adventure  Год назад

      @@Matanumi look as the years go by newer Drones will always win out. Soon the mini 2 will be as cheap as the spark. In my opinion the spark handles a lot better than the mini based on the wind resistance I've seen this Drone handle. Most of the people I see with minis are constantly worried about wind and battery life. I know I can throw this thing up in heavy wind and it still handles extremely well. Newer Drones will always win. I did a comparison with the mini 2 and the only benefit over this Drone was the 4k quality lense. That was it however I wasn't prepared to take a bath over getting it. This Drone represents exceptional value.

  • @UniqCarz
    @UniqCarz Год назад +2

    thank you for the video....very well explained.....im currently confused between a used spark (330 $) or a used mini ($ 461)...then again there is a new mini for ($ 583 - $510 based on discounts)....im thinking if i can get the mini as cheap as the spark (or almost close) the mini should be a no-brainer with the 3 axis gimbal but then again I'm split between the ease of flying the drone on the spark vs mini, with mini not having the front sensors which would make spark good for a beginner like me....Man this drone thing is confusing!

    • @EireRider.motorcycle.adventure
      @EireRider.motorcycle.adventure  Год назад

      Thanks for watching. Yeah I had also looked at the mini before I purchased the spark. I went with the spark as it had the features that the mini didn't. Track, quickshots with the collision sensor. The sensor has got me out of the woods on a few occasions. 😅 I've used the track and it does track well. Sometimes it will loose you. I did a video were i tracked myself on the bike and it worked well however the Drone decided to head to wards the ground and ended up in a Bush. The quick shots are nice but like I said the 2 axis gimbal let's this feature down a bit as when it's moving your lock is starting to go to the edges of the screen it then has to pivot to keep you in the frame and it's a bit jerky. In all my Drone footage I just manually use the Drone. Check out my latest video of Muckross Head and skip ahead to the Drone footage. This was all manually done. The footage it can produce is exceptional. The stability of the spark in high winds is amazing and I think it has to do tobthe weight. Lighter Drones tend to struggle but I was truly amazed by its stability.

You will find this in the combo pack and I would highly recommend it. If your buying new you may get as much as 15 mins per battery. Depends on wind and blade protection if your using it. Regarding phones it's WiFi connection and it I compatible with iPhone and android. I bought my pack used and someone who had it last had a iPhone cable with it. You don't need it but obviously he had a I phone. If you have the hub it won't take long to charge. Maybe 30 mins with all batteries. Don't run the batteries to empty as this will cause issues.

You will hear one beep, two beeps and then three beeps then your done. As far as I know its only the Dji 4 go app that is compatible. What phone do you have? You can get this online at Dji.
