My Brother and I were just laughing at that fact. It is now considered classic and is on our classic rock station. Time just flies on away and before you know it, your old, lol. 😁😁
What - because they’re young and black you assume they’d only listen to hip hop? Ignorant to make assumptions based on someone’s age or race as to what types of music they enjoy.
@@andyc6542you are the ignorant one how dare you assume that I assume anything about them because of their age or race get the f*** out of my face with that s***
This is probably the only song I will always be able to listen to and NEVER get sick of it, if I had one song to listen to forever it would be this. Always🎸🔥💚
From what i gathered i think during most of the song he is speaking to his son, teaching his son. Then during the chorus he is speaking to his baby mama & their relationship how she takes the kid away from him.
This song transcends musical genres, the message gets across to EVERYONE! My friends have a cover band, and they play this song at a lot of their shows, and it always brings down the house! The whole crowd is singing along with them, it's a hell of a bonding moment. The only other song that does this is "Mr Brightside" by The Killers. You guys should do that one as well.
Boys what you are listening to is called Grunge or alternative music. Grunch is a mixture of Middle America sound of Southern/country and solid garage Rock and Roll.🎻🎶🎶🎸
Listen to she hates me, i saw them do the song live, he sat on the stage and let the crowd do the work, after the song he left and they played the swing version for house music, pretty funny
I know I'm a year late but this song was very personal for the lead singer, he legit lost custody of his son and his ex wife ended up getting with an abusive boyfriend, meanwhile he could barely see his son after the divorce even though he was a very caring father.
In the 90s this was considered “alternative rock” … this song is too soft for the hard rock and yet it gave a bit of alternative style. This band is also from Kansas City, MO. My hometown. One of my favorites!
It was called grunge music in the '90s grunge is just a slower version of New Wave music / punk music all of that was called alternative music especially getting into the 2000s.
@@JAGreen-lj9zi yes, I do agree. I shouldn’t have called it alternative. Looking back at my comment now I realize my mistake. I should know better. I thought grunge music was the very best there ever was, and still do. There were a lot of bands that came during that same time which wound be alternate such as Green Day ( a fabulous punk style too) thank you for catching my mistake. Us old people got be kept In check sometimes! ✌️💗
Not quite positive, but the story behind this song is with the court hearing on the lead vocalist addiction struggle, which basically led to his son being in custody with someone else but this was all like the brink of their uprising so alot was going on but it's all cool cause in the end he got his son back
This is called "alternative rock" music. Very popular in the 90s and early 2000s. It's NOT Country, ofcourse black people think anything with a guitar in it is Country...lol, at least the ones in my family.
I just found you guys and I love watching your reactions. I love all music and I really appreciate that you are open to listening to different things. There are so many songs I would love to suggest but I need to go through all your reaction videos to see what you've been listening to so far.
Lead singer of puddle was actually abandoned in the town over. He got booed off stage for lip syncing and was smacked. Wiki puddle of mudd Versailles Ohio.
Can you give Anberlin a try? Stranger ways by Anberlin. Mess of me by Switchfoot. Say it ain’t so by weezer? One headlight by The Wallflowers? Windowpane by Opeth? Sun by Two Door Cinema Club? Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve? Cherry Red by Beegees? Lost by Coldplay? Whiskey River By Willie Nelson ? I have so much in mind.
This song is about a man that had split with his girl but had a son with her and she got into a bad relationship with an abusive relationship with another man and they end up disappearing with his child and that's why he's saying in the song I wonder where u are and wonder ur doing. It's a kick ass song.
Not country, for country check out Martina McBride ( concrete Angel, powerful video) check out Luke combs, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Brad paisley ( I’m going to miss her ( offical music video for a good laugh) Toby Keith, Tim McGraw

And it was the hook that gave it that hard rock edge on top of the more ballad in a grunge way verses, then the bridge wow

That drummer laid down a bad ass groove

The wallflowers did a cover of "Heroes" that was good.
This was The Title Theme To "Ace Combat 5" I'm not kidding.
He was really going through it with his kid mom. He wrote this song in a hotel
Late 90s. Maybe early 2000s. I think I saw them with Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. Maybe that was a different show.
