When Norm and Donna were looking for places to retire, they came across a beautiful beach on the Oaxacan coast. A place where the water is blue, and they could easily get back home to their family in Texas whenever they wanted.
I'm talking about Huatulco, Oaxaca.
And in our video today, Norm and Donna share how they can live comfortably on $1500 USD a Month ALL IN!
Without sacrificing the quality of life or having to count nickles. And after being in Huatulco for a few years, they have dropped some serious weight by eating better and staying more active. Norm has even managed to get off a his blood pressure or diabetes medication
And they are just one of the millions of foreigners who move to Mexico for a better life.
I hope you like it!

I only wish Mexican could live this way in Mexico too.
Wow, put together very well!!! My biggest take away was the healthier lifestyle especially with the food. The crap food the US puts out through the USDA and FDA is killing us.
Will be following your page as my wife and I are seriously considering the move south of the border.
There are so many benefits of moving to Mexico that our other customers have experienced

@@manlystyleunder50 obviously you’re talking about the USA!!??😂😂 more than 400 mass shootings last year, besides all the crime that happens everyday, every minute across the USA, more than 100000 kidnappings every year!! Plus all the crazy people killing their own families/relatives!! You’re so ignorant that you think you live in Switzerland?! 😂😂
@@manlystyleunder50yeah that’s some information I think is important.
Congrats on your life in Huatulco! My husband and I moved permanently to La Paz BCS 5 years ago. A relaxed laid back retirement can't be beat.
We’ve been coming down to Mexico since 1995, every year except for the two pandemic. Mexico is so special; Mexicans are special. And with what is progressively happening in America, Mexico is a definite place to live. PV is fabulous, the colonial towns are beautiful and Mexico is going to boom.
Mexico is already booming! 😉 thanks for stopping by and checking out our channel 😊saludos
@@ViceCoin I guess there are better opportunities here but Mexico is great if you have savings and a monthly fund.
The same reasons that people are fleeing from your country. Usually for economic, weather, political or new adventure reasons
Do you just rent different places each time or do you own? How long do you stay?
Nicole, at this point we just stay at Costa Sur ( extremely good value) and Garza Blanca which is luxury. It’s not necessary to buy as the summer months are very hot. The food in PV is terrific and reasonable.@@nicolewilton4898
I've been considering a vacation there to relax and perhaps discover a place to relocate. I'm quite familiar with Mexico for about 40 years now, thing is , I'm sick and tired of California's BS and over taxing on EVERYTHING here. Great video and so very happy it worked out for the two of you. Salud!
What does california tax now that they did not in 1970?
Why don't live at México soon? I say, if you know México after 40 years then ¿What you need to go México?

You guys are awesome! Congratulations on your open mind to move to a foreign country and make your lives better. My wife and I, who are Mexican, are thinking very hard about doing the same. I enjoyed this. I've lived in Guanajuato for two years now and quickly realized that 'mañana' from a local trades person doesn't really mean tomorrow, but 'not today.' To thrive here, Americans need to adjust expectations. If you can do that, you'll be fine in Mexico.
It's pretty much the same way in the USA now, at least where I live. I'm used to it and am totally flexible. From what I've experienced over the years in Mexico manana usually means another day and is not specific.
Adjust expectations in what way?
The first expectation is to understand that uou aren't special and that mexico is also America not Europe and that "Americans" don't own the continent.
@@EdBon-ju5xp , no no no please!
Dont keep saying that stupid thing about "america".
To say america to the united states of AMÉRICA, is totally correct wether you like it or not!!!!!! And people from that country are americans, totally correct too!!
Investigate, study a little, read to get out of your ignorance!!
Im mexican and live in México. I have never lived in AMÉRICA (US), and yes, it is true too, Iam part of the american continent, so I could be called american too
Although that is not customary as in Europe.
But please, dont keep saying that, it only shows your ignorance and and a kind of sense of inferiority.

Hualtuco is on my radar possibly life. I got stranded in Zipolite in 2020, as I was residing in Guatemala wo a legal residence. By the time Guatemala reopened its borders, I had secured a casita on the beach, long term. $300mo! I am back in the States now, BROKE and a bit broken. I have been in Central and S America since 2015. I cannot live like this. I am returning to Costa Oaxaca hopefully later this yr
You didn’t mention if you had temporary or permanent residency, or if you are working on it still. I am currently in Florida, but soon to be heading back to Merida where I have my residente permanente. Yes, it gets very hot in Merida, but there are a lot of places to go and cool off. The evenings are cooler and it’s always a pleasure to stroll to one of the many parks where there are vendors, music, dancing, etc. winter months are of course cooler and a much enjoyed reprieve from the heat of April, May, and June.
You are so right about the people of Mexico. They are so kind and helpful, always wanting to please. Learning to live on Mexico time made me a more patient person. It does no good to get upset, and they don’t understand when you do, so it’s best to just smile and chill. “No problema”. 😀
They both have perm residency

Great couple with a great attitude toward life. Good energy.
i was wondering about the lifestyle and how it affects the reliance on maintenance medication! i take high blood pressure medication. also cholesterol (but my case may be genetic). i am thrilled that you mention you were able to come off your medications. so glad he mentioned it! and the medical care situation overall - i am still flabbergasted how easy it is. heck, just getting bloodwork and being in a position to monitor it without having the whole health insurance system controlling everything.

I've been fat a few times in my life and I've moved to NYC, or gone on vacation in Australia and Spain and lost all the weight every time and it had something to do with the lower stress, food, and all the walking I did. Living in a place and I'm just saying in the US because that's where I live but living in a place where the primary mode of transportation is the car and food is so processed , and social activities are restricted by modern day logistics.....people get fat. Remove yourself from that and put yourself in a different environment and much of the unhealthy fat will go too. Many people have food addictions and that's a battle too but it is a lot easier when you live a certain life style which you can find in Mexico and Spain and probably a lot of other places. Living in a beach town in the US you might get that too but for the money it is hard to beat Mexico in North America.
I went to Mexico for a week and I came back to the state with inches lost. The food is less processed
God bless México‼️🇲🇽

I truly like that this couple have embraced the lifestyle of where they live. It seems that so many Norte Americanos want the lifestyle they’ve left behind in another country.

Nice people. Unclear how and when they secured a rental apartment. Did I hear him say they pay $500 US per month!?!
Hi Anders. I think what they were getting at is that in Huatulco the rental process is not as formal as in other parts of Mexico. You usually just sign a lease, pay your deposits, and move in.
They pay about $700 usd a month in rent. It fluctuates because of the exchange rate
They said they knew their landlord socially prior to renting her house.

In Many cities in Europe the service people's "One Mexican Minute" is more like "One European minute (I am not in a hurry to serve you so, you can wait untill feel like waiting on you") If one complains ooooh, Americans are so impatien or rude. These service people do not own the businesses they work for so they don't care if a table is not turned over for hours or people don't return to shop at the store. I love the service 99% of the time polite, friendly, and as efficient and sincerely timely without making one wait due to malice or lazyness.
are you in the path of the Annual hurricane season, June-November? that would be a huge minus, even if you do not get hit because every storm could hit you, a pain worrying about them.
Yes- all beaches in Mexico are prone to hurricanes. But it doesn’t mean they get one every year
