He made his 18m+ jumps look so easy. But I find that seems to be the way with most world records. Whoever does one just seems to be in that effortless relaxed zone like they could have gone faster or farther.
by Jonathan, the second step was shorter and it is beautiful to see that he jumped in to the distance " NOT" in height and did not lose speed "kinetic energie". So the third jump was more than 7 meters long and no triplejumper managed to!
i am a freshman in HS and just got a distance of 40 feet 11 and 3 /4 inches... i am going to work for this record someday man!! thanks for the inspiration
I am so gutted ! At the age of 15 I jumped 44ft 10in and then switched to Rugby and soccer. If I'd been given this expert instruction when I was 15 I would have stuck at it. I'm 73 now and someone who coaches the jumps here in California said I probably had the potential to clear 55/56ft ....I wonder...next life ?
Paul Gregory . I did one year of track my senior year and decided to try triple jumps and my best jump was 43 if I did it all through high school I wonder what my PR would have been.
@Paul Gregory Never too late, check out the Triple Jump 70-74 age group marks (WORLD). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_world_records_in_masters_athletics#Triple_jump

42.7 km/hr means that his 10m time at top speed was 0.84. Ben Johnson, Carl Lewis and Maurice Green were 0.83. Only Usain Bolt was faster than that at 0.81. So Edwards had a top speed that was among the best ever sprinters. He was right that the key was to get speed and then maintain it through the phases. His key was to come off the hop carry the speed through into the step phase. He could do it even with a fairly long hop because he was going so fast and had the right amount of height on the hop and the right dynamics.
Linford Christie and Colin Jackson both said that Edwards was faster than them over 30m and could have trained to be a 60m sprinter. All he ever needed was 30m for TJ. He was also fast enough to train with Frankie Fredericks. I think that the fact that he wasn't heavily muscle-bound i.e. quite light had something to do with it.
He’s only 6’0” tall, not muscular at all. But god damn he can just jump horizontally man 🤣 translates that fast run up into three beautifully timed jumps (hop, step, jump)
With the last faze , the 18.40+he did is the real world record very unlucky with the wind speed . Taylor should not be anywhere close to breaking it. That was his perfect jump not because of the distance it was more smoother and control
Jonathan Edwards is a KING OF OPTIMAL SPEED in triple jump, but not maximal speed, because maximal speed is unpractice for technical disciplines in athletics!!!🌌🌌🌌🌏🌏🌏👑👑👑🏅🏅🏅🐲🐲🐲🦅🦅🦅🐯🐯🐯
No, Long Jump is a jump with the balls of your feet, triple jump uses your heel. Triple jump is based on bounding and gracefully moving outwards while long jump is one big spring and rotation of the arms.
Все просто! Потерять 25 сантиметров на первых двух отталкпниваях, чтоб в третьем накатить полметра, за счёт скорости! Даже перевода не надо! Это известно давно, но немногим даётся!:)
Can somebody help me i'm 16 yearolds and i just only triple jump in 13m10 because i can ' t improve my step , it only very short but i don't know how to improve it can somebody help me

Cadet et junior, chez les sourds, J'ai amélioré chaque fois mes records sur le triple saut. Votre technique m'inspire exactement.
You are so good
Surely his long jump would’ve been mental aswell
Nah his best is 7.37m if Im not mistaken
@@Ok_IgweIt’s not that and really.

Excellent record ,I think no jumper can able to break this record in near future.
Jaydon hibbert
If his topseed was really that high >42km/h than he would have run the 100m in sub 10s for sure!
No
Without the bicycle stride in mid air....no hope of more than 39 feet!!
We didint forget 18.43 ( +2.4% wind unlucky)

Can some of this same stuff be used for the long jump?
I wouldnt risk it i would just search up long jump tip video

Yes.
Just looking at his peak speed there on the graphic, looks like he'd run about 10.00 in 100m. Just in theory though.
probably can't sustain that top speed for 100m
Oh my...... His voice is amazing!
Sir make a video about like vault technique
Hiten sorry, I only do about triple jump technique
Okay sir

Yes and you would like a lucky lottery ticket.
Annoying graphics and music and stupid robot noises. Like we would be bored if they didn't hit us with all that stuff.
