2- Best Lowlight images in its class
3- Best Video stabilization in its class
4- Best Audio recording in its class thanks to HAAC (Rich Recording)
5- Supersensitive touch (display worked with gloves)

    7- Wireless Charging
8- Unibody Polycarbonate body that doesn't lose its colour

I still never got that Lumia 930 dreamphone i wanted, but im glad i was able to use the 920 when the store was good, my classmates at school were shocked to see GTA San Andreas running on a phone, specially a phone that they didn't know, was cheaper than theirs, and ran smoother in every way, whatsapp, maps, alarm, web browsing and music worked flawlessly, so this was everything i really needed.

I still have a 9:20. I just powered it up last week just to see how it looked and how well that thing perform. The dedicated camera button was a feature that phones still can't get right to this day. But they definitely stole how fast you could bring up the phone with that double click. The image and video was very nice. Windows phone was a good operating system that the developers sabotage. But Microsoft is doing a good job doing exactly what the other companies did to them for years. They're using their devices with their software. But this was my first absolute favorite phone. I had iPhones before that, I had Windows mobile phones, access to various Android phones that were not good previous to this one. I had the Nokia 900 and before that I had to Samsung focus. Both are good phones. But the 920 just set the bar. And from there I got the 1020. I always want that phone with a huge camera, but by the time Windows phone was just really uncertain with this future. When those phone finally gave up the ghost, I didn't get any of the newer phones, I went to the Samsung S7 edge and never looked back with Samsung

It's so sad that smartphones today still haven't caught up to the Lumia 920 in some ways...
    - No phone I've had since has had the ability to use the device with gloves (why?! it's so convenient in countries with cold winters!)
    - I don't know of ANY non-Lumia phone that has the ability to take pictures at night through glass, by using a premature flash (why?! it's so convenient when you need it!)
... anything else? I may well be forgetting some things. I suppose there is the 2-month battery life with connectivity disabled, the insane durability of the device, as well as the body formed to fit your hand. I don't buy phones that are super square period. I don't care how good the specs and/or price are if I can't use it comfortably.

The first of three Lumias I owned (7/2013-1/2015). Cracked its display glass by accident. Decided that replacing it wasn't worth it and got a 930. Which, within a few months, developed the infamous HAAC microphone death. It also overheated like crazy. The 1520s, one of which was my intended purchase, had just stopped selling :-(
If I was crazy enough to spend money on NOS phones, I'd get a 1520, just to remind myself of my favorite mobile OS ever - Windows Phone 8.1. But there's the whole "old battery" issue and the fact that I already have my dad's old 640 XL in a good condition and a new back cover from AliExpress. My 950 XL with Mugen's 9300 mAh chonker and a beta Windows 11, though ... Should've been awesome, right? Honestly ... Meh :-/

the true failing of all the non-apple phones made from 2012 to 2015 is that they had terrible thermals. So many amazing and interesting designs that made you want to own many phones if even just for a bit. Heck my Motorola Turbo 2 was one of the best phones ever made but the thermal issues were terrible. I think that is the main reason so many companies stopped making interesting designs and just copied Samsung because their overall design was much safer for thermals

man, that 950/950XL was such a disappointment in terms of build quality and design. Nowhere near as nice as the 930, 1520, 920, 800. And Windows 10 was so buggy too.

@@AbdullaZaki Strange, I liked my white 950 XL hardware a lot (minus the Snapdragon) before I had to replace its battery with a THICC one but I guess I must be one of the few. The 960 prototype looked like an HTC knockoff.

It's sad to say, but most likely this will forever be the best phone I've ever had...
...did I mention that I have 3 of them now? The screen on mine turned yellow, so I got a cheap deal on some used Lumia 920's and a fresh battery. Also gave me a chance to replace the speaker portion on mine, as after 3 years of daily use, one side of the speaker no longer made any sound. No idea why, cause there's only a single speaker feeding both grilles.

I just got one of these for $5 and what do you know, it has the same dust in the selfie cam.
A cool phone that will be a good GPS and media player I suppose. Although it can probably be used as a simple phone, I prefer my modern phones for useability and cameras.

@@AbdullaZaki I guess because Windows mobile is no longer supported. But the 520 and 920 were in great condition, battery seems fine, screen is perfect. 920 is red colour.
Maybe it can go next to my 808.
Nowadays, the new phones are overall better. But I did like the 808 a lot. Pity the software let it down - 5 minutes restarts during my job which relied on calls and text and maps was not fun

I used a 920 up until last month. It just won't continue to work as they change our local network over to 5G. The secret to keeping a phone 10 years is 1) wireless charging. 2) Don't download Apps and 3) when your kids ask to use your phone you scream "NO!"
