It makes me smile when people talk about this Easter egg band.
    They were special.

Most music I used to love, I can no longer listen to, they bring back bad memories. But FTM is always uplifting. It's my favourite band of all time.

Agree with you here. This band was so unique, and for me this also is one of the rare albums where every single track is really enjoyable. Love Darrohs vocals, such a crazy range.... Also I love their lyrics, they're so unique too.
You picked my favourite track of the album tooy so catchy. Thanks for the great reaction

I worked with Darroh's (Andrew's) dad in the 90s and got to know Andrew and Cliff very well. My friend and I passed out fliers and watched them many times in Dallas and Ft. Worth. And before that, I saw them and hung with them in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
I wish they were still a band.

They are from Texas. A small town called Sulfer Springs
East of the Dallas area. They gained a huge following in the Dallas music scene. Some of the members are in other bands but for the most part they have all moved on. They honestly were bigger in Europe.

I still remember seeing FTM open for a local band in Waco, tx. Before they had even recorded Carbon Copy Silver Lining. Followed them ever since.

I love this band. I have been listening to them since 2006. They still have one of my top Pandora channel spots. I used to ride a BMW R1200RT motorcycle, and it had a CD player. I would use their CDs to listen to on the bike....almost always.

This band was criminally underrated and it’s such a shame it didn’t work out for them because they could have been absolute giants.

I just subscribe and got all notification. You guys are cool and buddy tells it like it is. Fair to Midland is the best and most underRated band of all time. Darrow Sudderth is a God damn genius. This is my favourite band of all time.

my brother randomly sent me dance of the manatee performance on YT the machine shop 12/17/2011 where he is hanging upside down, and i've been insanely obsessed ever since..to express how touched i have been by their music which is pure art, beauty, and full on masterpieces...wonderful basslines, melodies, lyrics darroh was the most interesting frontman as well as vocal ability (like in QUINCE and his tibetian throat singing and chants he only did live...words can't express my love for this band i can barely listen to them now cuz i'm sad they retired.. and were in my town in 2007...when i was going to shows..they were even here with karnivool..another underrated band i love....that would have been a dream come true to see that...the outro in this is absolutely beautiful the best part.. "The seagulls song stopped the silence" i love that lyric

No one’s heard of them cause they had two major label releases and then they disappeared, broke up whatever. Sometimes I wish I never heard of em. Cause I want MORE! And they are not together. But I still love em!

FTM had serious issues with their label Serjical Strike (Serj Tankian from SOAD's label), and then the members started having families. My band opened for them the first time they came through the Kansas City area, and they were a fun group of guys. Our two bands kept in touch until about the time they were finishing up their Arrows And Anchors album when they were just always on the road pushing that album. It's my BELIEF (my opinion) that Serj put serious expectations on them but at the same time didn't market them well, so they just didn't break it big. It really sucks to see because they were good enough to be household names within the genre, but starting a family while trying to tour is a HARD thing to do. I just think it was a case of too many things working against them, and that's a shame.
