Spoke covers are for noibs they add wright. Those pedals you upgrafed to are bad. Get clipless. Also, wrong bike. Get a road bike and youll be going faster

Ex SE mechanic , #1 thing to replace on ur bike is the front sprocket. The SE ones warp fast and chew thru chains, sometimes it busts the wheel bearings. If u get grips, do lock ons from sensus or ODI, pedals under 30 are sketch get composite ones NOT metal. Metal pedals are usually awful when they cheap from China the composite ones gotta use better bearings bc the construction.

If you got a rim brakes, shimano deore v brake, lever and kool stop brake pads would be a great upgrade and improve stopping power a lot! spray some chain lube in brake cable housing would bake those lever light as hydraulic lever is

The spoke covers are definitely worth it but the pedals don’t really matter much
if you do change your pedals with no reflectors you have to buy a light front and back so that way the cars behind can still see you. that is if you dont ride street

Pedals can cost a lot. With thirty dollars you will still have pretty cheap petals. For example, deity pedals come up too $150. Now don’t get me wrong I agree that the $30 pedals will be better than the stock petals. In my opinion you should determine wether biking is going to be a short term or long term hobby. After you determine that decide what kind of riding you actually do. If you just use the bike for transportation don’t get the $30 petals. You probably won’t even feel a different,but if you’ve decided that you will be riding for years and that you will be doing hard core bmxing or hard core mountain biking ( What I mean by hard core bmxing is going down to a skate park at least once or twice a week for an hour or two or doing actual competitive racing. What I mean by hard core mountain biking it that you have to be on the trails at least once a week. You also have to be trying you hardest to hit jumps and stuff that is you skill level.)If you think that’s you than buy some $50 pedals for the time being and once you’ve upgraded the bike the way you want it to be be buy some more expensive pedals trust me it’ll make you bike look a lot better.

Sealed bearings aren't a necessity when it comes to pedals bc it's just pedals, looseball isn't as bad as it sounds

I have a set of premium pedals that go for about 100 but you can easily buy pedals for under 30 dollars and grips are usually under 15, also bicycle reflective spokes I have no Idea
