I once read in a book "If you feel behind in life, get a head start on Christmas" and it's been a very helpful nugget of advice.
I am going to get my daughter a new planner for 2023. I’m going to write positive quotes and messages on as many weeks as I can so that she’ll look at them and think of our family and how much we love her.
This is so sweet!!! What a thoughtful personalized gift!
Awww
I like to be 90% done with my Christmas shopping by Halloween. My sisters and cousins and I always go Black Friday shopping. We clean up after Thanksgiving dinner, get our kiddos to bed, take a little nap and we leave at 1 am all stuffed into my minivan (it’s a 2 hour drive to the city). We shop at the “Open all night” stores and just have fun hanging out together before the crowd really hits. Then we go to iHop and they have to keep me awake with silly car games and a lot of coffee on the 2 hour drive home. It’s so much fun! (Note: I get my shopping done in the first few stores and then nap in the car while they finish up so I am safe to drive home.)
You're a trooper. I like your style
Boycott 1 am sales…..no one should have to work those crazy hours
That sounds FUN !! I need to start shopping in Oct/November 😅
If you're going to do it, do it this way!! I love this for y'all!!!!! Awesome memories forever ❤️
The older you get the prettier you get. There's very few in this world that looks better as they get older but my dear I believe you hold the crown when. You do age the best. I hope the rest of the family is doing well. Merry Christmas
Yes! Love this! I always think october is for getting the gifts ready, november is for baking and decoration and december it’s time to get cozy 🤶🤶🤶 love your top! You look like a move star from the good ol’ days 😃🌟
I have ALWAYS finished my Christmas shopping by 12/1!!! So happy to meet someone else who does this. I love having December to focus on decorating, parties, caroling, kids concerts and plays without having to worry about finding that last minute gift
I’ve started and hope to be done around thanksgiving! I love being done ahead so I can relax
I wish I could shop early, but being so tight on a budget I have to look for the absolute BEST deals. Honestly, it's hard right now, waiting on a Christmas bonus and living paycheck to paycheck. By the way, I'm loving that top on you!
That top does suit her. And I'm in the sane boat as you. Christmas won't be so material this year.
have been preparing early for two years now. we do our Christmas shopping from september to november. 😱 my friends and family thinks I'm kind of "weird" but I don't care 😉😉
in December I want to spend time with my loved ones and do fun activities. 😉 love from Norway
I try, I really try, but I can't keep up with you all that get your Christmas done by Thanksgiving. I cant do the midnight dash on Thanksgiving to get Christmas presents.
My family is too big, I have too much food to put away , grandkids that want to spend the night and I'm sorry I'm too damn tired to go out and go shopping. I'd rather, hang out with my hubby, play with with kids. I admire all of you that can get it done early. Happy Holidays to everyone. Let's all be nice to each other and be blessed and joyous to be with family, it's the small things that make memories.
I am totally getting my husband the wallet ninja! Creme savers were my favorite!
You look gorgeous today! Don't know how a busy mom like you manages to always look so nice.
Start Christmas shopping all year long as soon as I see a special and think of someone or see something special that I know will go fast etc... 😊
Can I just say you’re always stunning. But this hair. This outfit the vibe idk what it is.. it’s giving effortless old Hollywood working mom at home glamour. You’re GLOWING
I bet others have commented this already but I think it's actually good to be early with gift ideas, because a lot of the time you have to order it online and if you live in a more exotic country you might have to order it abroad even, and that means it can take a month to arrive! And even if that's not the case, I'd rather be early than try to quickly gather something in mid December. Not to mention that all of your gift ideas were so good! I could definitely see myself using all of the ideas at some point in the future
Perfect. We have this issue with sunglasses in the car all the time. Thank you!!!!
I love the way you use the phrase 'the mess out of'....cah-yoot!!!
I love being prepared and taking my time to find gifts! You can never start too early for Xmas. Thanks for the gift ideas. 🥰 Love you and all your content.
creme savers yes!!!!!! my 8th grade boyfriend put a creme saver in my back pocket during a school dance and saved it! buying this for all my 30 something y.o friends
We already bought some presents and deccorations a few days ago and watch a christmas carol yesterday so we started already.
I actually started this year in June. That’s a little earlier than I typically start, but that’s fine. I actually think I’m almost done with my daughters gifts (aside from stocking stuffers) and I’m really making some headway with everyone else’s gifts.
Adding so many of these to my Amazon cart! Thanks for fun items. I love a good stocking stuffer! Stockings are the best thing my kids, their spouses and our grandkids always love opening. I try to make them the best part of opening gifts time. You helped!!! ❤😊
My family (the gals) do this as well. We clean up the Thanksgiving meal and take off….we do spend the night in a hotel…we each take a specific type ribbon and when we purchase and take bags out to the vehicle we tie our pkgs with “our specific “ ribbon…so easy to reach in and grab our own when we make it home and are unloading…also that night at the end of the shopping we wrap the gifts and put them back into our bags with our ribbon. Voila
I like to be done shopping by December 1st, too. I'd rather enjoy the month than be stressed about decorating, buying gifts, etc.
I've been shopping and I have everything that came in wrapped already! I love that I won't be scrambling around December 24th wrapping gifts all night.
oooo la la , look at you! Pretty. I think I've seen creme savers at Dollar Tree.
Glad I see this one month after, because I wouldn't be as happy one month ago 😅 It is now 10th of December and NOW I starting to come in the mood for Christmas time 😁✨
Everything is done except stockings and my hubby’s gift here but am waiting on my hubby’s until around Black Friday because it’s an electronic and if it somehow is a broken unit I want to be able for him to exchange it:) I am actually starting to even wrap it all 🎉
I’m with you Angela ! I start early too. It’s a relief to get things done in order to spend more time with family and friends! 😉
Oh my gosh, creme savers!! I haven't been able to find those forever!!
Great gift ideas especially for someone like me who hasn't started shopping!! Lol
80% done by October. I keep a list in my phone when family/ people mention something they like during the year and start collecting around July. Ps Angela you are beautiful, very classically elegant.
Crème Savers! Oh my goodness, yes!
Whoa!!!!!!! 🤯 I’m not worthy 🙌
I’m not worthy 🙌. I literally wanted to do this! You literally read my mind. my thoughts exactly I don’t want to stress this season I want enjoy and bake with my daughter spend time with my family instead of being crazy stressed and a spaz. Thank you Angie 😭
Omg creme savers while I watched the movie riding in cars with boys...takes me back lol
You look so glamorous! 🌟
The cream savers… 😂 I just love your humor
I get done before Thanksgiving and have done so since my first child was born on Dec. 3 fifty years ago!!
Hobby lobby is the place for nostalgic candy!!
Your look for this video is *chefs kiss perfect for the season! You remind me of a tree topper Christmas angel.
Thanks for the ideas!
I wait until after I kids' birthdays are over (beginning of October) then start collecting Christmas gifts. MOSTLY done shopping. What I haven't gotten yet, I do have an idea, at least.
Love these ideas
I start in October so I can enjoy, bake and decorate with the family
I start Christmas shopping for the next year right after Christmas.
I always Christmas shop year round. I even have some gifts for Christmas 2023 already 😂
I have 7 adult children. plus all those extra family members (girlfriends, boyfriends, son in law, etc) so I start in September so I don't have to do it all at once. I want to enjoy the season of Advent with less stress!
I’m known for being done with Christmas by now but this year is the latest I’ve ever shopped. I thought I would be stressed about it but I’m actually very chilled out! 🤓
I start my Christmas shopping for the coming year the day after Christmas.
I have not seen creme savers in FOREVER!!!
I’m done except for a few extended family items! I love being able to enjoy and be present! Edited: CREAM SAVERS 😂 I Literally screamed when I found those in a retro candy store a few months back. Def got them too!
Loving the background and the makeup outfit everything 100% xxx !
I forgot about Cream Savers! I loved those and will be ordering!
Would love to know your lipstick and nailpolish. Loving your outfit for Christmas! I feel like you are solving all my Christmas problems today.
I shop throughout the year for every holiday. We have a big family so I shop mostly sales. At the moment I need Stocking stuffers and a gifts for a few adults
I like to do Christmas shopping all year round, if not, at least I like to try and get it done before December.
Could you do a tutorial on how you do your hair in this video? I purchased the shirt and now I’d love to know how to style my hair like you 😊
Merry Christmas, How I get my Christmas shopping done. It's easy, I buy a/one gift for my husband for each month. Jan I buy one, Feb I buy one gift and so on. I wrap it then all I have to do is put the bows on them. More fun, I buy my 12 gifts, and this way I don't have returns.Love it!
I love Christmas so this makes me excited
I appreciate the earliness as well! Love the Christmas touches in this video, your outfit, the decor, the video ending! Nice holiday feel!
I do Christmas shopping all year long, as I find things that I know certain people would like. I try to be completely done, wrapping and all, by the end of November.
SOOOO READY FOR MY FAVOURITE HOLIDAY, CHRISTMAS!!!!!
Totally appreciate the video!!!!
I was all done Christmas shopping before end Oct the last couple of years. Other than stocking stuffers that we like to do in Dec as a fun family activity. Aiming for end Nov this year.
Omg, love me some strawberry cream savers!!! 😋
Yes we decorate right after Halloween and finish shopping before Thanksgiving! We Homeschool Christmas so we can relax and enjoy baking crafts etc ❤️
I'm done shopping except for Target gift cards I will buy when they are 10% off the first weekend in December. I buy the maximum of $500 because I can use whatever I don't give away to buy household supplies during the year.
I’m a earlier shopper but I’m a late wrapper lol. Thanks for sharing! 😊❤️👏🏽
Love the playing cards
I LOVE Christmas!! Already started watching Christmas movies 🎄❤
Excellent. Thank you for kick starting holiday shopping and for doing it so early!!!
The only place I’ve seen crème savers in person is Cracker Barrel. I want them so bad, but I can’t have dairy. 🙄🤣
I usually don't like to do anything Christmasy until after Thanksgiving, but this year I'm so in the mood for Christmas that I want to start early this year.
I like to be done with shopping by the end of October every year, except for gift cards. This way it takes away some of the anxiety of Thanksgiving, decorating for Christmas, etc.
Usually start at black friday but tempted to start early like you said, so I can actually enjoy December 😅
I'm that girl that finishes Christmas shopping the week of, and I'm okay with that lol. Nothing to do with the video, but your hair looks so beautiful!
I guess I’m weird, I enjoy the hustle and grind after thanksgiving. I put my tree up the Sunday after Thanksgiving and I let the race begin:-)
omg I love that comb. :D Such a great idea posting earlier. I decided posting Christmas ideas on my channel earlier as well. my reason mostly to share ideas before Black Friday so may moms can save a bit.
This is the first video of yours I’ve sern and it was good… but it was the comment about the taxidermied squirrel that sealed the deal on my subscribing 😂
Angela is here to feed into my madness! I started decorating for Fall in August to push us in back to school mode!
Now that it’s officially Fall my brain is all about Christmas! In my defense we have a family of 6 and one income! I start buying bits and pieces through out the year that are on good sale! Buuut October is really just two months until December so that means ITS OFFICIALLY TIME FOR CHRISTMAS(shopping, prepping, planning)
Great ideas. Thank you for sharing.
The shower energizers sound like a great gift! 😊
I’ve got a start on my Christmas shopping. 😊. I’ve also decided on a few things that will be gifts.
I start in September. As soon as I am done paying for back to school. I am 90% done. Including teacher gifts and Christmas Eve boxes.
I need this video!!!! It has been a really chaotic year.
Adding the dino comb to my list. We are almost done. Still trying to choose sleeping bags for the kids which they will love and will use to sleep in front of our wood stove all winter long for the fun of it. I want to be done before November I start planning in July. But it will be some books, now adding the comb, educational puzzle or toy for the start of the school year in January, sleeping bags, flannel shirts and matching Christmas jammies. They get so many toys we are drowning. Plus a couple small stocking stuffers.
I did grab some extra gifts. Other than those I was done in May/June
I love Christmas shopping early , We have 16 people to buy for (kids, grandkids) we buy three gifts each. We are 75% done!, Only a few gifts and a handful of wanted gift cards (Teens are so hard to buy for!) I drive them crazy asking for lists! I want to be done by Thanksgiving, Then I can turn my time towards cooking, decorating and family events!
You are adorable and realistic.
We just got the first 2 gifts for our child this week. We'll still be picking up things up to a week or 2 before, but we do the buying process spread out over time because I hate the pressure to find the "right" gifts all in one day or in the same week. New toys are coming out the whole time and I'd rather buy a thing here and a thing there as I see something that's perfect.
Wrapping is something I enjoy so I'm not bothered by doing it in one or 2 days before Xmas. I put on an audiobook or RUclips channel and have fun. I've tried Wrapping as we get them but then I'm pulling the Wrapping stuff out and putting it back over and over and if my kid sees something already wrapped In our closet or somewhere he immediately notices it. If it's a shopping bag in the corner it gets ignored, so there's that reason I wait to do it all at once. My mom and partner both hate Wrapping so I get slso get handed their gifts a week or 2 before Xmas and I do their Wrapping also. And as a night owl, I find it soothing and enjoyable to spend however long in the evening Wrapping things.
I love starting the shopping early and the Wrapping late. So I guess I have 1 foot in each camp here. 😁
The earlier the better!❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
We do secret Santa among the adults of the family and my MIL asks for lists at Thanksgiving (Oct, I'm Canadian) so this has to be thought about ahead of time.
I'm coming back to watch later but just wanted to say your thumbnail and backdrop look beautiful 😍✨️
I don’t know how she gets the energy I’m still decorating for Halloween lol
Yessss. I’ve gotten all the major things done now: stocking stuffers are done. Kids gifts are done. ❤️ just the grown ups now lol
Terrific ideas! Thanks.
Mine is done, just need to wrap🧑🎄
Love the way you styled your hair! My hair is so pin straight it just will not hold any curl.
I love crème savers
I remember eating Crème savers during standardized testing as a kid because we would be allowed to bring in “hard candy”. Such a strange memory!
I have usually finished Christmas shopping by the first week of December
You can never be too well prepared. Great video!
Omg the bone comb! So cool! Ordering now! To put away for stocking stuffer so unique
We too, love to name our plants =)
