FWIW, even in the 2014 movie, in the scene where they discuss different 'models' as to which has the best marketing value, when the guy talks to Michael Keaton he has a line about it. 'This model, according to inmates, is the one they're most afraid of', and it's the OG RoboCop design.

As a Polish guy, I am really proud that Polish developers did Robocop justice by creating Robocop: Rogue City❤️
That is indeed a surprisingly entertaining game, and very true to the Robocop story and characters! These devs are getting better with every new game!
@@bellissimo4520 I wish they tried to create a new Rambo game, maybe in a Far Cry style, which would serve as a prequel with John fighting stealth and guerilla style in Vietnam. It would be a blast❤️
@@spiderdog86 Far Cry 5's Vietnam DLC gets pretty close, but yes, we need a proper Rambo game.
@@Xifihas yeah, it was OK, I guess, but too short. And I'd love to see actions like stealth kills from mud, etc. It would be fun as hell.
After what they did with Terminator (made a game for it) I was all in, hopeful. They gave me exactly what I wanted. There were a little late making new game+ but I cannot complain now. Whatever they make next has my attention.
I didn't think anyone could do Basil Poledouris justice, but here I am listening to something I'm sure he'd be proud to hear
Now we just need the Red October and Starship Troopers soundtracks covered.

Playing Rogue City has been the best thing for starting 2024.
Just wish they actually used more the music and sounds of the movies...
I enjoyed it so much as a fan of the OG movies that i did two playthroughs in a row ^^

There are some pretty good metal / rock versions of it out there.
God I am so glad I got this game.
Also the little slow piano bit at the end is my favorite, since it illustrates that while he is a badass cyborg cop he was once a man with a family, something he can never have again.
At least he has the brotherhood and camaraderie of his fellow officers. I loved all of the detail that went into the interactions with the rest of the cops in the game
Unless it's the dubious remake in which I seem to recall he DOES get his family life back. Weird.

I realized a few years ago, RoboCop is probably my favorite movie of all time. There's movies I've binged more, there's movies I've found more.. FUN.. but I think RoboCop is the best overall movie I've seen on all fronts. Enjoyment, story, characters, and lasting legacy.
This is amazing, and just highlights how amazing and enduring Basil Poledouris' scores were. Never forget Poledouris folks, he gave us some of the most amazing film music of all time.

i love all the hyped there is around robocop right now, im sure the reboot will be here soon, its why there is so much stuff coming out rn
If they want to pull off something like that it would have to be the original suit design, taking place after 3 (no more origin stories) in the 80s setting. Otherwise i wouldnt be excited. Make it a small to mid budget and it can turn a profit while not appealing to ALL audiences like too many movies try to do now. Respect the fandom and make it for them. Hot take: i didnt think 3 was that bad!
Even though the original Robocop suit has a very 80s flavor, it's so iconic and badass, should have never been redesigned for the remake.

The redesign was laughable. Because they made it leaner and smaller, and stupidly left him keep his human hand, it completely looked like a guy in a suit... not like machine.

@@joshuawillis602 Care to explain how or why? I stand by my point. At no moment in that movie did I feel that I looked at a machine with only a little human bits inside. The human hand completely destroys that illusion. The new, leaner design may not look bad in and of itself, but it does not help to create the impression that this is actually a cyborg and not just a dude in an armor suit.

The part of the reasons why the game came out in this day and age, would be the fact that
we need RoboCop now. Our society right now, needs RoboCop desperately. These makers
of RoboCop and Murphy, envisioned our future 40 years ago.

Him and Paul Kersey from Death Wish. The first Death Wish was practically made to draw awareness to the crime wave in New York in the 1970's

Funny thing; when you watch Robocop as a kid, it's just a fun action flick. When you rewatch it as an adult, you start to notice just how deep this movie really is.
The game was so fucking cool loved every second of it. It’s definitely worth it and it’s made by the same people who did that bad Rambo game but redeem themselves with a great terminator game and now they clap back with an awesome Robocop game.

I absolutely love this cover, Robocop is my childhood and I’m probably one of few that didn’t see these movies as satire but instead actually sad.
Murphy is still a man and he’s still alive. He knows who he is and who is family is. Under the satire is a man who can never be with his family again.
This is not just an OST video, is an entire tribute to the character.
This song playing at the end of the game during the final gauntlet push was just *chef's kiss*
I hear the original score by Basil Poledouris, but I also hear some of the RoboCop 3 score in there, and of course Rogue City at the end. Top tier! Great Job!

I remember watching Robocop as a kid. Even the cartoons. And made me believe that police are true heroes! And I still believe this today! Even there are some bad cops (or corrupt) but that doesn't apply for everybody! Like popey made us eat spinach! Thank you Murphy!

Glad you liked it. I tried not to go far from the original, but to somehow structure the composition. It's not easy to cover such a legendary tune.
