I believe they can get to a point where they trust you..not necessarily love. If they can feel fear (and no one would argue that reptiles can't fear or else they'd rarely if ever drop those tails), then they can feel the opposite which is trust. My crestie actually grew to trust me during his recent injury. Just the way that he looked at me was different.
Thank you for covering the co-habbing! I have been "warned" for comments and left sites because of the absolute zealots that believe their geckos will kill each other kept in a breeding trio or females kept together. I don't know where this started but it is a rampant rumor that shows no signs of going away. I bought my first geckos in 2008 and have NEVER had them hurt each other when kept in proper groups ie female with females or one male to multiple females.
I know!!!! I feel we need to pull together as a community and make sure that we keep an open mind but continue to share our experiences... as well as back each other up on comments (rumors/myths) like this. Thank you so much!
I know a larger breeder that was having work done to their place and when the person use a nail gun 11 crested geckos dropped their tails and this breeder was in the room when they dropped them .. great information and awesome video wally loved it thank you for sharing your knowledge

I can absolutely believe this. Great point.
Imagine if the TSD myth was actually true! It would make breeding projects so much easier in my opinion.

Yes! Really depends. Also, depends on whether you use a humid hide and water dish too.
I'm so glad I don't believe in mythology. LOL. I've heard a lot of these, but thankfully I did extensive research before deciding to get any.
Way to go!!! I kinda knew you would.
It’s been too long!
