I'm glad you added the old school splash on aftershaves. Those products actually kickstarted my journey into fragrances and I still have a bottle of Brut by Faberge!!
Speaking of pleasant surprises, I recently picked up Brut Oceans (the edt flanker of Brut) and was quite chuffed with the scent. Was expecting a modern "blue" copout from the juice colour but it's more like a cooler version of the original. Someone mentioned Nivea and I totally get a bit of that too. Not too shabby for flanker. Will have to try the aftershave next.
Love your efforts on these videos. Splash on/After shaves are very overlooked but extremely enjoyable. I've bought a couple of these fragrances on your recommendations. Executive Shaving is a great outlet for these too. Very tempted by the old school types they have. Thank you Mr S.
Clubman makes some modern splashes in their "Reserve" line that might appeal to younger sensibilities. I prefer the old-school stuff, however the Brandy Spice from Clubman is worth trying.
Good choice! My top of old cheap classics - 1. Floid (All except Black) 2. Aqua Velva (Spanish) 3. Pitralon Classic (Germany) 4. Denim (All. But most loved are 1976 and Musk) 5. Speick (Germany)
Good suggestions, Dan. I have several Extro EdT/Aftershaves, my currently favourite is Legno di Sandalo (= Sandalwood). Maybe Williams Aqua Velva would fit in this list, too.
if I chose a cheap aftershave, I would go for Old Spice, Boots Freshwood aftershave balm (discontinued permanently), or Agua Brava aftershave splash lotion.
Alright Dan picked up 3 of L.T. Piver fragrances from TKMaxx, Vetiver, Cuir and Cedre. I'm pretty impressed by them, don't know if you've have reviewed them yet. For 17.99 a pop, the quality is very good.
It’s getting colder out Dan…. Let’s see some volume to that beard. Just in time for hunting season. In America we hunt deer, elk, moose and bear…. Pretty sure you guys dress up in knickers with fancy hats and hunt Fox or something like that… I guess that will have to do.. Nice list… Alt Innsbruck is fantastic. Have you tried any of the Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements splashes?? Cold Spices, Diver Down, Harvest Moon… So many more are great. Check them out..
Nice picks! I have like 50-60 splashes as I'm also a DE wet shaving aficionado 😊. Floid is a Spanish brand from Barcelona that dates back to the early 30's. The original formula is Mentolado Vigoroso (think about a very mentholated orangey aldehydic proto-Kouros, less animalic but still musky in the dry down, from the 30's in terms of smell). The Genuine is the version that was made in Italy when they've had a factory there. That factory closed and all are made in Spain, but they've also kept the Italian formula. Cheers!
Thanks for the video, Dan. I messaged you I believe September 1, asked you for recommendations for these 2 colognes and never got a reply from you. I'll be watching your streams. I have one on my channel 7pm your time tomorrow. Its couple hours before yours starts.
people who say don't use after shave are stupid. aftershave smooths, tones, and cleans. if you want to put a balm on after or even just a regular lotion because you're worried about your precious skin go for but don't spread false information because the impressionable out there will get confused

I've had a bottle of Pinaud Clubman at hand ever since I was a teenager. Frarinik looks fascinating.
Thanks JJ. Frarinik is very good!

The italian formula has been modified three times in the last ten years. Now the brand has been bought by Proraso who sells the third reformulation.
@@italiano120 Maybe by Ludovico Martelli that owns Proraso, Marvis etc. Proraso is just a brand, not the company. Thanks for the info.
Yes, Ludovico Martelli. I said proraso to simplify, many people don't know the name of the commercial company.
I like Floid but is leaves my face sticky?
Turkish Lemon Cologne ( Limon Kolonyasi)from the brands Pereja and Bogazici
Yes!

I like that cooling "sting" from a proper aftershave. Don't use balms, lotions, etc
Balms leave my face greasy.
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements makes excellent aftershave/colognes. I believe they sell in the UK as well now
Thanks Sledhead
I'm the first!! hahaha!! yessss don't forget to LIKE and share Lady and Gentlemen!
Thank you so much Khai!
