- This Video is to show you the difference between Night Stay and Full Day Tour in Maldives resorts. As we went for a Day Tour to Adaaran Prestige Vadoo resort, so I have considered it as an example to explain each and every aspect of Day Tours and overnight stay at this resort including booking, check-in/check-out, food, airport transfers by speedboat, price, budget, packages, wifi connectivity, liquor/alcohol, water sports activities, water villa/beach etc.
If you are looking to visit the best water villa resorts with beach in Maldives, then you have got a lot of options available. Depending upon your budget you can select from the 5 star luxury resorts of Maldives. This small country is no less than a paradise especially for honeymooners as it has got plenty of Maldives resorts for Honeymoon. Some of them even have water slides, private pools, Jacuzzi and what not. And guess what? There is an underwater resort in Maldives too but it is way too expensive. So, depending upon your budget and liking you can select from expensive or cheap resorts in Maldives.

Love this analysis by Anirudh. I would personally recommend to split your stay between a water villa resort and a local island guest house. The day tour price to a good resort starts from USD 120.00 per person, while there are resorts offering over water bungalows for just over USD 350.00 for a double during the off season (June & July), add another 200.00 for the transfer, and 1 night stay for 550.00 for 2 people. So the difference is USD 310.00. For this extra 310 you are getting to spend 1 full stay and spending a night at a watervilla with your loved one, seeing the stars and watching the sunsets or sunrise (depending on the water villa) is a totally different experience. The other thing to note is that if you are staying in an island other than Maafushi or HulhuMale', it is next to impossible to find a good resort day tour, due to the lack of transfer.

Thanks Bishal. I like your question. The strange thing is that even after paying so much they didn't give any complimentary snacks with drinks. They were even not giving water bottles for free but I argued a bit after which they gave us water bottles at least. We used lunch and evening snacks along with drinks, Indian hai jugaad kar lete hain bhai kuch na kuch 😊

Thanks that you loved my Maldives series 😊. I would suggest you to stay at Maafushi to get to any resort for Day tour. You will be shown videos of a number of resorts and you can choose from them. Male is kind of a city and Maafushi is small but a pretty decent island.

I have a small kid and elderly parents so i think I will have to move my plans further even if the lockdown ends completely. Hi, thanks for detailed information and videos. You went to aadaran prestige vadhoo for day trip. It's so far from maafushi I think. How much time it took to reach from maafushi. Regarding bioluminescence when it will be visible clearly, which season, during full moon or no moon day. Thank you
bioluminescence depends on luck. Best chance is from june-october on relatively moonless night. and FYI, the sea of stars vahdoo and this adaran vahdoo r DIFFERENT island. but bioluminescence can be seen from most maldive resorts if lucky

Thanks Dr. Sanjay. Male city is just like any other city like we see here in India. If u want to explore Maldives go for the region which you think cannot be accessed in India. People go there for the beaches, crystal clear water and the resorts with water villas.

Like we paid for took the day tour but decided to stay as well.
I suppose they would still charge the complete cost of day tour as you have to prebook it. So, that means you wi have to pay for day tour as well as stay.

You should talk to your hotel in advance and book your speedboat to be on the safer side.

Bhai waha aap jaoge to aapse immigration me hotel/resort bookings maange jayenge jo aap nahi dikha paoge to aapko visa deny kar sakte hain. Isliye we need to book beforehand. There are a lot of resorts in Maldives, you can check about them on Goibibo or any other site.

$120 me aana jana, lunch, evening snacks, alcoholic beverages, non alcoholic beverages ye sab hai bhai. Snorkeling ka bhai $50-60 tak aaram se lagega kyuki $30 ke aas paas normal public island pe hi hota hai and resorts me har cheez double triple rate ki maan ke chalo.

Very nice and detailed information. I want to know about water villa booking... water villa booking we can make in the spot ? Like if you booked vacation plan in Mafushi island and you want to make one night stay in water villa resort... is that possible in on spot ...
It may be possible but you shouldn't try this. There are 2 reasons: 1. At the Airport you are being asked for your hotel bookings for each and every day. 2. Even if you are allowed, the prices will be sky high if you book the resort on spot.
