Prior to Arrival
Submit the Traveller Health Declaration form online via IMUGA portal (imuga.immigration.gov.mv/ethd) within 24hrs prior to departure from the first port of embarkation. Bring 3 copies of confirmation while traveling.
Must hold a valid passport with a Machine-Readable Zone (MRZ).
A genuine pre-paid hotel booking.
Confirmed return or onward ticket together with necessary visas.
Passengers must attach a negative Covid-19 PCR test result while filling Traveller Health Declaration form (sample taken within 96 hours prior to departure to Maldives, counting from the first port of embarkation en-route to the Maldives) except children below 01 year old.
If vaccinated, provide Covid-19 vaccination details (WHO approved vaccines only) while filling Traveller Health Declaration. For employment traveler 14 days after 2nd dose vaccination not required quarantine. Other than tourist, if 1st dose or 2nd dose and less than days 14 days of vaccination subject to Health Protection Agency (HPA) covid19.health.gov.mv/quarant... approval for quarantine.
a) Transit not allowed
b) Vaccine not required for below 18 year
c) Vaccine not needed for resort booking. But the resort booking should be confirmed paid booking.
Upon Arrival
Passengers must provide truthful and complete information to the queries of the Immigration Officer.
Passengers intending to travel to a third country via Maldives should provide onward flight details with correct and accurate information at the point of entry. Providing false or deliberately misleading information will result in denial of entry or restriction of traveling to a third country.
Passengers presenting false hotel reservations shall not be granted entry to Maldives.
Passengers must provide proof of sufficient funds for the intended period of stay in Maldives.
Note: All parties failing to comply with the immigration requirements will be penalized in accordance with Immigration Law.
Ferry schedule from Male to Maafushi Island
Monday, Wednesday & Saturday: Once a day ferry service at 3pm.
Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday: Twice a day ferry service at 10am and 3pm.
Friday: No Ferry trip.
