If I get an IS 350 is not for the performance, but reliability compared to the other cars of the same category. If I wanted performance, I would get a BMW or a Mercedes.

The key distance is not ridiculous, I think it is good because of security reasons. There must be some maximum distance at which can the rolling code get acknowledged and accepted because if the distance would be greater you would be much more vulnerable to attacks. But that is my opinion. Can anybody tell me if I am right ?
    The car looks amazing BTW.

Yes you are definitely right. My opinion on this has changed over time. I was so used to my cars having long distances with the key fobs that it annoyed me but after seeing the new way criminals are stealing cars. I now appreciate it

Loved the video. I bought a 2023 Maxima SR and love it but wondered about the IS 350. Your video hit all the things that made me realize I did the right thing for me when you talked about interior size and tires size. My Maxima does not have the auto start/stop either and glad it doesn’t because I hate it and it is hard on starters. Maxima is also 300 horsepower and I agree that is plenty. With NAV you get a 10 inch screen and w/o NAV you get 8 inch. Best believe I'm placing an order in November.

Liked and subscribed. On the 27th of September, barely 16 days ago, I brought home an IS-350 F-Sport RWD. My wife and I consider it a good compromise between her '05 ES-330, and my 2013 MK6 Golf-R. Her car, while very comfy for long highway trips, lacks the cut-and-thrust of my R (which has a Stage 2+ tune, btw). On the other hand my car doesn't "sit well" with her for similarly long trips. This is especially true, in the comparative sense, when we take either car to the back roads of America in our travels. Plus, she doesn't drive a manual, which the mk6 (in the 2 years it was sold here) only came with a 6-speed manual. We came to select the '350 as a compromise mainly for reasons of ride comfort, and the 8-speed auto-transmission. This suited her priorities perfectly, as her ES was beginning to feel too large for her, and not as nimble as she grew to desire in a car. For me, the technical aspects of the car appealed to me enough to where I thought I could be satisfied with the idea of "driving a slow car fast". Also I thought I could learn to love driving this slow car fast on winding back roads: double wishbone front suspension, Torsen rear diff, dual injection of fuel (port and direct), very direct steering. Agile, and mobile, so to speak. My Golf-R leaves the '350 in the straight-line dust. But if the straight is short enough, a curvy road is where the Lexus has a chance to acquit itself very well, I think ( I hope). An added benefit is the larger fuel tank, and the solid reliability (if the wife's '330 is any indication). But the R has been very solid too.
For now, I'm keeping the R, as I live in SW-Ohio, and may need it's 4-motion AWD in the unkindest winter-weather events where even her '330 might be challenged. Even though I grew up driving rear-wheel cars in the snow, why bother now ig I have better means of getting about? But I also wanted to return to a n RWD solution as part of my compromise. I'd considered an Alfa Giulia because it's a very good handling car, and it's nearly .5 second quicker to 60 than the '350. I think I give the latter the edge in steering. And the Lexus can be serviced at any Toyota dealership (one at every exit ramp), while the Giulia doesn't have that reassuring cross-country convenience. No BMW (not volunteering as a new-tech guinea pig). No Mercedes, basically for the same reason. Audi? nothing in the lineup moves me except the new RS3 ($$$$...cha-ching!!).
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Wish me luck. back atcha!

Idk what heck is wrong with people wanting longer range capable fobs. BTW you're phone is also a key for and can stop the engine at any time. Seriously, read the manual 😂

Mark levinson and the navigation package with the 10inch screen is definitely a must have for a luxury car that's over 45k as the regular standard 8 inches is pretty unwhelming for a luxury car and also the 8 inch screen is pretty bad looking with low resolution. You can definitely tell night a day difference with the 10 inch screen vs the 8 inches with the color and resolution. But when I drove the ES, I got out with no problem. So if you want to be comfortable, the ES is the way to go

Bro, you are ridiculous for caring so much about the distance your key fob has reception.. Seriously, if someone gets in your car and manages to drive off, bust out your lexus app and turn off the car, simple, plus all you need is your key in your pocket and you can set the car to automatically unlock the driver door and holding the indent will uplock or lock all doors. LOL EVEN IF YOUR KEY AND IT'S IN THE CAR YOU CAN STILL TURN IT OFF FROM THE APP! Also, really spend some time and get to know your car, optional features like active exhaust, or standard auto start from your phone, valet/guest/friend mode where you can restrict acceleration, and top speed to 10mph.
