I'm not really aware factually that John Lennon ever really hated Paul McCartney, or he him.
      When I looked at the
'Get Back' DVD, I see 4 reasonably happy guys, along with their roadie team, friend's close mates, plus George Martin is present most of the time, even though John Lennon's personal recording producer was also in a lot of footage, mixing sound, conversing with them all when it came to producing a sound satisfactory, this being his main job, that I could see, unless he was also working under the direction of George Martin, as well? so they all seemed like a well oiled team going about their usual routines, while John, Paul, George and Ringo just got on with the job of trying to produce songs.
John and Paul definately have a good working spirit together, and seem to get along well with each other!
John and Paul are definately in each other's laps so to speak, in other words listening to, and relating to everything going on in the room, including all the technical cohesion going on, making sound judgement and suggestion of idea input.
Ringo seems to be the quiet one of the 4, going along with everything going on, including how something should be played, and without getting upset with John and Paul's idea's and suggestion's.
George does seem to be a little preoccupied during the session's, especially when Paul in present.
John, George and Ringo seem to get along with one another fine, again, especially
      when Paul isn't about.
John and Paul don't have any issue's or problem's at all with one another during the whole time.
Infact, get on like brother's and seem to be having fun together. . .
      Paul seems to annoy George
which is sad, but then this might go back a long way to their past together, before Paul met John
It might have been Paul and George at some past time, Paul meets John, suddenly it becomes John and Paul, and George feeling a bit less than he originally was, with his adopted brother Paul.
John adopted Paul a bit as a mentor, because Paul was a more knowledgeable musician to John, and this mean't John looked up to Paul, and Paul could teach him to be a better more accomplished musician.
Paul looked up to John, because John already had a band, and was the lead singer of it, this impressed Paul.
So John and Paul had something each other had, and wanted, so they gelled together.
George may have felt he wasn't an equal, but always wanted to be their equal, as he would submit songs for the Albums, but was lucky to get 2 maybe, onto a Beatle's album.
Ringo didn't seem to be worried by this, but he may have ?!
He says in various interview's, he'd spend all day at the studio, putting the tracks down, only to return the next day to his drumming track's all replaced by someone else, or by Paul himself, because Paul is a reasonable drummer himself.
Whether this upset Ringo or not, it probably did, (it would me) but he'd let it be, no good making waves, he saw it for what it was, and he got the credit for it all as drummer for 'The Beatles'.
Ringo accually left The Beatles first, he spent most of his time sitting around waiting till they required the drums.
What I see in this 'Get Back' film, is a band of guys writing and creating songs to record.
Ofcourse, everything they.did in this film, is recorded, so a lot of this was lifted and added to for the final albums.
In the film, all their wives and children are present at some stage, and each of them seem to be getting along fine with one another, and very familiar with each other.
They a seem to be very friendly with Yoko Ono, so I don't think the problem's we hear about from the media, are not all true, just the media pretending that they know more about a situation than they do.
Most Media is a lot of unnecessary lies and rubbish, not to be taken seriously, (or we'll go nuts trying to figure it out.)
There should be law's against them being allowed to print and report (crap)
People should be able to take the media to court, and have them prosecuted for fraud and lie's, and fabricating stories that are not true.
After George said "I'm leaving now, I'm leaving the band"! and he packed up his guitar and walked out, John said that "we can get Eric to come in and play" before they fully realised that George had accually had enough, same as he did in 1965 when he had finished with the Beatles back then, they still had contract's to fill, same in this situation, he still had a Beatle's contract to see through, so as the film showed, in a moment of frustration George once again! threw in the towel, and had enough of the grind.
George hated being a Beatle back in 1965, he was fed up with it.
Had The Beatles not decided to stop touring back then, George would have quit
The Beatles, and they would have been no more, and the world would have learned about the reason behind it.
As The Beatles still had a contract in America to play the 'Hollywood Bowl' again, a second year in a row, due to their success there, that would have been the end of touring for The Beatles.
As we know, this was recorded and 'The Beatles'
'Live At The 'Hollywood Bowl' album was created, taken from 2 concerts, one in 1965, and 1966 concert's.
Following this, 'The Beatles' never toured again, finished.
The world is very lucky that
'The Beatles' decided to record together again during the mid to late 60s, which produced some great music and anthems for history, and we're still enjoying The Beatles' Music to this very day.
Whether people want to realise it or not, this is all thanks to the love and passion of James Paul McCartney, and his love for his mate's, John, George and Ringo, and mustn't forget himself, Paul, and his dream to make and create
      'The Beatles' .
Mike McCartney, Paul's younger brother has drawings that Paul had drew, as a young teenager, growing up in Liverpool, of his Hofner bass guitar, the collarless Suits with the dark beading around the edge, which became known as The famous Beatles suit's and Jacket's, drawings of all this, along with the high heeled Beetle boot's, zip up and elastic sides.
The famous guitar strap, with the shoulder pad, guitar leads going out of guitars into amplifier's, a drawing of a drum kit, and of course various drum skin, back drop poster ideas of the name Beetles, or Beatles, with drawings of accual Beetles in and around the name.
So by this time, Paul had met John, and they may have had one of the 'Quarrymen' playing drums with them, and later Pete Best.
George may have been involved with John and Paul, and not to forget John's art school mate Stuart Sutcliffe.
But Paul left drawings all over his parents home, and
his brother Mike photographed these many drawing's and scetches, and these are all included in Mike McGee's book, titled
'The McCartney Family Album' with photos that Mike had and collected over the years, and he released as a photo book, with a lot of family and Beatle information
going back to a time when Mike and Paul were children growing up with their Mum and Dad, right up to when Paul became a famous Beatle, and married to Linda.
This is a book every Beatle fan should have in their collection's.
This book is very informative, and dispells all the myths and theories that continue to surface.
      Mike McGee's Family album.
Paul McCartney and his brother Mike, are very close family.
There in, is a young John Haliday, in a family photograph together, because he is Paul and Mikes younger cousin.
      There is no myth here.
      John is their family.
Paul McCartney is the real reason for the ongoing success of 'The Beatles'!
He kept the dream alive, and still does today, each time he plays concerts, he plays Beatle songs, talks about the Beatles, and in all interview's with Paul, he never fails to talk about 'The Beatles'.
John loved Paul, as does Paul loves John, Paul misses John, even though John moved to live in New York, he never stopped loving Paul !
The so called bickering in a few of their songs, wasn't anything malice that I pick up.
They are more of acknowledgement to each other.
John in his song 'How Do You Sleep', is mentioning Paul's work, that has done a lot for him, it is Paul's most covered song anywhere in the world.
I can't think of what song Paul does, that acknowledges
      John !
Both were very lost without each other, John went into deep depression after the Beatles split, with drugs and alcahol.
Paul also went into deep depression and hit the drugs and alcahol, had feelings of doubt about himself and his future.
      John had Yoko,
Paul had Linda and his young family to attend to.
      Both these 2 famous men,
The partnership of the famous Lennon/McCartney song writing team from Beatles fame was no more.
As Paul keeps saying, how does one follow that?!
I think John felt the same, both realised it, I'm sure.
Both came out the other side, both (scared) for life for it.
As Ringo still tells it, only we 4 lived through it, and lived to tell the story.
One day there will be none of them left, a sad time that will be, but their legacy lives on.
We have been lucky to have lived through this time, witness it, and be a huge part of it, they are our generation, we are the living proof !

As Ringo noted, Lennon was so into drugs and Yoko, the Beatles wouldn't have made another album after Revolver; Paul didn't force himself into a "takeover" position; the mantle fell to him as he was determined to keep the band going.

The fact is, and this is well documented, there was a period of time after the Beatles broke up that Paul and John disliked each other. It was but a passing moment, we all go through stuff with friend's, close mate's, you have a disagreement over some issues, dislike the event that takes place because of the issue, but after a little while, it all seems not as bad as it seemed at the time, we rethink on the issue's. and start to see that things aren't as bad, or complicated as first thought.

Hey Great video! Also remember that after John said "A pretty face may last a year or two, but pretty soon they'll see what you can do" in the song "How do You Sleep at Night?" a supposed jab at McCartney. I'll call it a jab and a complementary song at the same time...A venting of emotions as each they felt at the moment of inception in the moments that they happened ,or, as remembered ha ha ha ha

“McCartney, always one to write about personal experiences” - what? He really lacked that in his songwriting. Admittedly he could do it, but most of his lyrics are stories. Lennon was the one who wrote about his life, he just didn’t have McCartney’s gift for melody or musical ability.

Lennon was jealous of Mccartney. Mccartney would tour, release consistent top 10 after top 10 with a few #1s under his belt. Mccartney could also do other styles like prog rock, funk, soul, acoustic hard rock....things Lennon couldn't do. He was hoping Paul would crawl back on his knees to him. Of course, that wasn't going to happen, Paul was more happier with Wings than with the Beatles

The story of John turning away Paul in mid-70s NYC because Paul came by the next day unannounced said a lot. John wouldn’t allow himself to be too comfortable, to have his guard down. John rejected Paul trying to get the partnership back because John needed to stay a loner. People are like that. It was John’s way.

I don't recall there being a competition for a Paul McCartney look a like, my memory is great, but this event doesn't come into it. and this Billy Shears that you keep referring to who won the look alike competition, is a character that Paul McCartney created in a song he wrote, and doesn't accually exist, he is a figment of Paul McCartney's vivid imagination, a bit like Father MacKenzie in his song 'Eleanor Rigby'.
Lady Madonna in his song 'Lady Madonna', these character's don't accually exist, they do in a song, but not in real life.
This book that you claim was written by Billly Shears, with his PM look a like photo on the cover, is accually Paul McCartney, you can see it is Paul McCartney, Billy Shears doesn't exist.
If you think he does, show us tangible proof, and evidence that he is real and does exist.
John Lennon and George and Ringo have all said that Paul is alive and well, and the rumour is just a hoax and rumour that someone started for a laugh, but they, The Beatles' didn't start it.
They all, and Paul's daughter's and son, Paul's brother Mike, all say Paul is alive and well, and never died in a car accident as is still being claimed.
      It never happened!
So get off the bike, and stop peddling the lie.
The photo circulating of a Billy Shears, is Paul McCartney himself, why he let's it continue, is beyond me.
WHY? keep the rumour going, there is no need for it!
      Billy Shears doesn't exist.
Paul McCartney never died in 1966, he was never replaced.
      Why would that happen?!
      For what reason?
In 1966 the Beatles were on tour in America, for perhaps the 3rd time, because they played at 'The Hollywood Bowl' in 1965, and again in 1966, this is where the madness was very evident, 'Beatlemania' had become a sickness, a nightmare, 'The Beatles had become a 'Disfunctional Circus Act' and had gotten out of control.
They were disappointed in the final outcome of their endeavour to be good musicians making and recording self composed songs, that mean't something,
to.the fans and record buying public.
They were being screamed at! everywhere they went, media and photographer's, TV, Journalist where only interested in asking them stupid question pertaining to what food they liked, did they like the place they've come to play at, what type of girls did they like, (and one of them answered with 2 arms, and 2 legs, that sort of thing) Paul made some comment that all girls are nice, so they were being bombarded with stupidity and child like question's, which ofcourse prompted them to be sarcastic back with their answers.
At first they probably didn't mind the screaming and press conferences, but after a while, it was a routine basic Mundane stuff, that had become a chore, the enjoyment had gone out of it, they weren't enjoying it any more.
By this time, 1966, they were tired, weary, exhausted, missing their families and friend's, Mum's and Dad's, brother's and sister's, aunty's and uncle's, cousin's, and their normal down to earth way's of life, where was any of that.
They each couldn't go out their doors without being attacked by media, TV, radio,
Journo's and Fan's hanging out in front of their home's, or their parent's home's people everywhere would not leave them alone, or in peace.
What a nightmare life had become for each of them.
And for their families, they too wouldn't be able to go out without being attacked by the mania, life wasn't their own ever again.
They a wanted life to go back to what they remitted as normal, (whatever that was!)
When 'The Beatles' had got back to their home's, they decided to have a we earned rest away from the MADNESS that surrounded them.
Paul got married to Jane Asher, but that didn't last, George married Pattie Boyd, that didn't last, Ringo married Maureen, that lasted with it's ups and downs, they did have 3 children together, so they gave it a good go.
John Lennon got stuck into being a father to Julian and husband to Cynthia, and settle in a nice home in an elite area.
Around this time, being a Beatle was the furtherest thing from each of their mind's, plus they needed a break from one another.
They also met the Maraishi Indian spiritual holy man, and went for a week to his conference being held in the North of England, so did a great many other rock musician's and spiritual leaders, on a journey of discovery to find some enlightenment.
During this time, Brian Epstein passes away in his home in London, and all he breaks loose for the 4 Beatles and their wives.
They break away from this spiritual conference, and come back to the mania madness of questions requiring answer's that were thrust apon each of them, it was a very sudden and sad event in their lives.
As Lennon.said later, he was shocked, scared and horrified by what had happened to their manager and mentor, feeling like the rug had just been pulled from under them.
What are we going to do now, this is the end of 'The Beatles', he said, how do we go.forward from.here without Brian, he had become their world, they had become his, possibly.the whole reason Brian passed away, because his whole purpose of being, had been taken from him, what was his reason for being?! Ofcourse it was 'The Beatles', he got them to.where they had become the single most popular entity on the planet, organising everything for them, tours, recording contract's TV and radio appearances, interviews, promotional media press conferences, everything, including clothing, equipment, was a his baby, was no more, what was his use from here on?! So it is speculated that this is why Brian Epstein gave up, his reason for living had been decided by the 4 most important people in his life!
Very sad, but could be true.
This devastating blow for The Beatles, took a lot out of each of them, to the point that they needed time to heal the deep wound that had forsaken them.
      So they took time off,
(time out) as it is other wise known as.
We all need time out in our lives, to recharge and re assess everything in front of us, which also allows refection on what has passed.
This is why the Beatles didn't do anything for at least a year or so, it was a in their hands to come up with a way forward, if they were going to continue at all.
A lot of people felt the huge loss when Brian passed, through out the British music industry.
Without Brian fully realising the fact, he had become a God like figure himself!
It was Paul who made the call to the other 3, as to we need to meet and decide our future (The future of 'The Beatles')
So there was no release of an album from the Beatles during this period, and it is no good inventing rumours about them, to explain the reason as to why there was nothing from them.
There was a animated cartoon style show that came out, featuring a lot of 'The Beatles' music, which kept their music alive, whether the Beatles received any royalties for their songs, I can't answer that, but I figure the writer's of a particular song used in the series, they would have received a royalty fee.
This would have come from the publishing company, and same as radio, each time a song is played, a royalty is paid to the song writer.
      This is usually standard practice.
By the time Paul got them in the studio again, each of them had grown, matured a little, were either keen to get back to writing and recording, or not, they didn't have the need to have to impress anybody again, they had already achieved that, so that wasn't on the agenda.
      They didn't miss the mania.
So they reinvented themselves with the new Hippy movement and psychedelic generation, fashion's were changing, hair do's, and hair don'ts, longer hair, slightly flared trousers hipsters to begin with, paisley flowery shirts and tops, see through cheese clothe Ty died materials, were becoming the rage, girls and women were deciding to throw away their bra's, dresses rose up to just above the knee for the older generation, while some younger girls and women wanted to show us all what they had for breakfast, and the attitude of free love for all.
Ofcourse our parents hated it, they thought we'd all gone crazy, and the Beatle look from before, was accepted as conservative, neat and tidy, and respectable.
The world was changing at an alarming pace, earings, and cheap jewellery was becoming popular, flared and frilly shirts on men, flowers in their hair, even a bit of make up on males, and eye liner, and after a while it was a bit harder to distingwish between males and females.
This was in the mid to late 60's.
The Beatles started recording new material, and were trying new ideas out in their arrangement's.
This was 1967, but they had been developing new ideas long before their next 1967 album release.
They each had recording facilities in there own homes, and this allowed them the freedom to experiment with new idea's and sound.
The only Beatles who died, are John Lennon, and George
      Harrison.

There are no lies here... It’s well documented that after the Beatles broke up, Paul and John went through a period of disliking each other. Research it…

McCartney was right all along. Paul as a solo artist was way superior in their solo years.

John was always a jealous guy. He even created a song by the same title. It was clear that Paul blossomed into a huge songwriter. A number of songs that Paul wrote were given to other bands, musicians, and singers during the bands heyday. John had a huge inferiority complex. Lennon even didn't like that Yoko kicked John out of their home, causing John to head West to California to indulge in the famous "Lost Weekend." During that time, John contacted Yoko, begging to come back home to her. Yoko constantly rejected John's pleas, causing John to sink further into depression and used heroine to soothe his hurt feelings. John Lennon was a head case from the time his father abandoned him and his mother dying from a drunk Liverpool cop running her down in the streets. It's too bad that there wasn't mental help counciling back then like there is now when people suffer sudden loss or are involved in tragic circumstances. Clearly, John needed help, and the only person he leaned on was Yoko. And as everyone knows, Yoko would NOT be the kind of person anyone would want to lean on. Yoko was just as f**ked up in the head as John was. And still is. Like-minded people are attracted to each other in that way. 😮

Like brothers you always fight with siblings. John was always an arse hole . He couldn’t contain himself. His mouth always ran be for thinking . John was brilliant but couldn’t do anything about his attitude.
