And what I've heard, the shrinking horizontal line doesn't mean distance in km, but in time. 60 s to the waypoint at the outer vertical lines, 40 s at the middle, and 20 s at the innermost. So it should change depending on your speed.

Well, it's not viggens system that is different, it was the first so all others are different :-)
Sweden had a special agreement with USA so Saab could get help from Hewlett Packard to make the computer small and advanced enough for viggen.
The lines disappearing under 100m is the Low Altitude mode, probably to declutter for low altitude NOE flight. You can turn it off with the SLAV SI toggle

One thing you could cover in a future video is timed navigation - that would be great fun in a GR mission. Viggen campaign has some good training for it, but basically if you enter particular times (TID on the master mode selector of the data panel, then enter the desired time on target, then the waypoint button [see page 170+ on manual]) your "fin" in the HUD becomes an airspeed indicator, showing whether or not you're flying on pace, too fast, or too slow to meet your time on target for each waypoint or attack point. It's pretty sweet if you're trying to coordinate attacks from different angles or multiple attacks at the same time (ie. hit a SAM site 2 minutes before Viggens hit ships in a harbor, or whatever scenario).
You can also always use the TID mode to show time-to-waypoint, another helpful feature that's fairly accurate (the computer calculates all sorts of things).
The HUD declutters into Low Nav mode as others have mentioned when you go below 100m altitude. Presumably so you don't run in to trees and things :)

Hello Grim reaper I'm a big fan of your channel i just bought the AJS37 Viggen and how do you fix your hud display my so wide can see any information on the display can you help me how to adjust it to fit inside the hud display or do you have a video on how to fix the Hud Display in the AJS37 Viggen PS once i learn to use DCS World i would love to be a Reaper Lol :) :) :)
Set you "ZOOM" axis, then you can zoom in freely.

I do love this HUD and navigation system, a shame it's not found as a mode in an aircraft with a modern engine. My heart stops whenever I hear that compressor stall!
