My Son's Father was in an MS Gang in El Salvador! He was shot & killed 11 years ago by Police Officers that were doing Drug Deals with Him behind closed doors! The life there is hard. Not all Gang members are born into it. Some of them do what they have to do to Survive! Unfortunately for him he didn't Survive

Why do you feel bad for them? Why? You have no idea how their actions affected the people they killed and their families. Im sure you and your “big” “compassionate” heart think they are deserving of forgiveness and while that may be true, they are where they are suppose to be. Even though they did awful crimes, I kinda feel pity for them. They join these gangs when they are literal children and oftentimes it's just the natural path of their life given their surroundings and upbringing. They never know a different life and it's probably difficult to break free of this and I think there needs to be an intervention when it's still possible. These kids need to be taken care of. Education, future perspective, positive role models. But I guess spending money on the poor is not something that's very popular anywhere in the world...

Being separated from their children and families is the punishment they receive from taking innocent people from their kids and families. Those immates are alive, and maybe will get out (if they didn’t unalive anybody) and reunite with their families and move forward. But what about the victims they robbed, tortured, caused a trauma? Those victims are going to live until their last day with the suffering those inmates inflicted on them. The inmates are suffering the consequences of their own actions, victims will live (if they survived) with the consequences of the actions of someone who cannot love their neighbours.

Life isn't a game but some of us get played. I'm a dwi felon in the united States of America that recently applied to the city of Austin tx. I applied for driver helper at Austin resource recovery and couldn't move to the next step of hiring process because I don't have two professional references. Basically I'm not good enough to be a trash collector. I've been painting homes for over 20 years. 😂 I guess trash collection takes a very high degree of skill and education 😂 FYI I didn't hurt anyone while drinking and driving. I'm also 3+ years sober and no cigarettes

I saw another video recently which explained that pregnant mothers who enter prison can keep their children with them until the age of 5.
When the child reaches 5 they have to leave the prison even if there are no family members to look after them in the outside world.
Can something be done to help these children ie: a children's home

Here in the UK we fight every day to stop our children getting caught up in drugs and gangs. Every day you worry when you child steps out that door.

Nice to see prisenors learning a job for the moment they will get out.
As for the gang members, as you say, it is normal that they all are completely cut from the ouside life.
If your garden is full of weeds, you have to take all of them off and not let a piece on the soil if you do not want to work again a little later. So cut off the gang members and do not let them go out of confined jail but only if you are sure they will not be a gang member again but a honest citizen. What else can be done?
