dfkjsglkdfj yet again this is such a sweet comment!! Now I can click through for the cliffnotes without having to rewatch the whole review section XD I don't know how likely Ironwood vs. Penny is, but IMAGINE! Yeah Oscar was speaking more like Oz, but the things he was saying were still his own, which is neat! He's picked up some vocab words, though! None of which are hard words a teen wouldn't know, but he tends to not use words like "entrusted, accumulated, kinetic, reciprocate" etc. very often. But the way he says "her" in "You don't have to forgive her" sounds very much like how Oz talks when speaking through Oscar, and the framing of that scene is reminiscent of ones where Ozpin explains things to the group back in volumes 5 and 6. (And you're welcome for the therapy I suppose! :P)
Oh, and Oscar blushed once in Volume 7 when Neon Katt gave him a teasing compliment, and once in Volume 8 when Ruby put her hand on his shoulder for comfort
I love how during Ironwoods speech even Cinder and Watts look at each other like wtf is this. You know your off the deep end when you even confuse your enemies because your being worse than them at the moment.
Oh yay, thank you! I will always advocate for appreciation of my son child, especially when he was well-established as a foil for Ironwood starting in Volume 7, and now James is full-on antagonist. I uh. Kinda went off about it in the description, too XD
The reason Blake looked away from Yang is because, she feels guilty for splitting up when they've had this whole thing about working together not apart. So Blake is possibly comparing it to how Yang felt last time they seperated. Because I am sure Yang wanted Blake to follow her. So I understand her being guarded about if Yang will be happy to see her once she came back. She didn't know where they stood. But now she does.
good point! I just would've expected Yang to be the guilty one, since she's the one who left the rest of them (which wasn't a bad thing to do!) and mentioned worrying what Blake thought of her. I was just a bit surprised that Blake was looking down like she was ashamed for something. Maybe for not backing her up? Regardless, that was a super cute moment and I love them
The blast wasn't magic. Oscar specifically said it was kinetic energy that Oz spent lifetimes accumulating. Every time he walks with it or hits something or someone, it stores that energy. Think of it like Yang or Adam's semblance. It's very similar. Also Emerald literally just helped Oscar escape. So aside from the giant Salem, he has seen her ability first hand
yeah, but the green bubble he used to protect himself from the kinetic energy was magic! And yeah, like I said, he easily could've been referring to something like Haven (escaping monstra didn't come to mind tbh but you're right, she did mask him as Hazel once, but I didn't think of that as something he could see her doing but good point!), I was just entertaining the possibility he could have ALSO seen some memories (since we know and have seen him pick up on Oz's memories multiple times). Twas just a thought!
im thinking it was magic, at least it’s more than just kinetic energy, it wiped out all the grim in Atlas (or looked like it did) without damaging the buildings or killing anyone else but Hazel, that’s some Brother of Light type magicky stuff
@@gogogo123454321 it's definitely possible - I'm assuming that the cane itself could be considered magic, since it can store kinetic energy (which should be an oxymoron), so being able to freeze energy in time and trap it without halting it, then releasing it in a big blast, seems like there's something magical at play.
@@Nimbl3_f0xx no spoilers! (but I'll reply to you below the cut): a lot of people seemed to think it blasted the grimm out of the city, but yeah c11 shows there are still grimm everywhere. I assume it just showed those lancers getting knocked back for visual impact? How much kinetic energy does it take to kill a grimm? To knock over a building? I don't know, but it's quite confusing how the ace ops and JYR were okay XD

They reunited!! - ruclips.net/video/26J0uDIGErM/видео.html Have you noticed that Cinder's Grimm arm has grown again? It now covers her entire shoulder to the point it has grown under her clothes. You can see it during her monologue. 45:10 I didn't notice any merging- they are, but I didn't see/hear anything. The explosion was kinetic energy, Ozcar just released it. There was no magic involved. 47:45 You only know of a bit of what Ozpin did. We did not watch ALL of the torture that happened.
yeah, her arm looks so cool and terrifying! The explosion was kinetic energy, yes, but Oscar also used magic on the whale, and then a second time to create the magic green bubble to protect him FROM the kinetic energy blast. Listen to "You don't have to forgive her" the word "her" especially. His word choice, like "quite a bit, massive, accumulating, kinetic, reciprocate," etc). It's going both ways though, so that's interesting! I talk about it a bit more in my ch11 reaction, but there's still so much more to theorize about! And yeah, that's true. I was more just wishing the others knew Oscar had been tortured at all so we could see them react with concern and care or something.
it's a line from Rising! The intro song for Volume 6! I've theorized that a lot of that song is about Ozma given certain lyrics, and so I was wondering what big, bright thing Oscar and/or Ozpin would do in Volume 8 based on this stanza: "The sky is turning black, light is fading fast But we don't surrender Shattering the night, radiant and bright Armored in splendor Shining forever" That, paired with lines such as "From every life, another leads" makes me hopeful for my sonboy
I know! I love Ruby and Oscar as friends, so I've gone through tags on tumblr looking for "platonic rosegarden" and discovered that people have come up with "gngrbrd" (sounds like gingerbread) as a platonic ship name for the two :) I don't personally ship rosegarden, but I do find it adorable! I just want these kiddos to be happy.
nooooo XD I was joking but parallel-wise it's definitely similar! Something implanted into your brain that is on a "set path" (or as Oz put it, "the inevitable path") to supposedly override your volition/become a part of you Personally I don't believe Oz is going to "take over" Oscar, but the parallels are in place for him and Penny in that sense
@@HyperfixationStation girl i am sooooooooooooooo sorry. as a person who had horrible anxiety attacks, i don't insult or ridicule those with those kind of disorders. please forgive me!!!
