At short range they will fire 10+ grain pellets accurately, I've even gotten 12 grains to shoot decent, which is a lot better for pesting, more FPE even if slower chrony speeds.
Pellet jam … possibly because, if you look at your magazine, there’s a slight downwards (nick) which you didn’t push all the way into, you can feel it click, this is often the cause of pellet jam … lovin the surroundings …😃
Thanks very much. Yes that was definitely the case. The back of the pellet must have been a little bent (was when I cleared it) and didn’t go in all the way. All the best, Jono 😊👍🏼
Your rotary magazine jam brought back memories.. Back in 2004 or so when I was 16, I took my friend to shoot a gamo PT80 air pistol in a field. It was boring and kept jamming, so we turned around to go inside; we faced about six cops with shotguns and AR15s yelling at us to get on the ground! I threw the air pistol and ate dirt, my friend wasn’t so quick and a cop went and kicked him over and were handcuffed; I kept telling them it was an air pistol and they wouldn’t believe me till I told them to press a button on it and the whole thing sprang apart (being an air pistol…) and then they realized what they’d done and gave us a bunch of silly lectures about how someone with a real gun could have shot us (unlikely) and such Anyway got a serious ticket which was expunged after my friend and our dads went to a rather faff “counseling” session and we had to write an essay about the merits of gun control (I copy-pasted Wikipedia and they accepted it lol) merica is a silly place
Oh wow that is a cool story. These days I’d worry they’d shoot first and ask questions later (or so the media would have us believe). Someone must have reported you (miserable bugger). I thought when they realised it was an air pistol they’d let you off! In the UK just walking into a public place with a replica in your hand can get you 5-10 years in prison!
@@GreeklishOutdoors yeah this was 2004 or 05, I’m kinda surprised they didn’t shoot us 😂 these days you’re right much more dangerous. This was even just out in an open public field away from any residences too! Oof I could see the UK being that strict about it too… aren’t there even limits on the power of air powered stuff too? I think I’ve read especially in Ireland they have that sort of thing.
We even got a lecture about how “gang members paint the tips of real guns orange to fool cops” which didn’t make sense because as you’ve seen gamo doesn’t paint the barrels of their air weapons orange…
@Rhaenpony Yes the most powerful air rifle you can buy (without a license from the police) is 12 ft/lbs, but I think you are free to have scopes, silencers and to shoot pests and small game. In Greece there’s no power limit, but No hunting allowed with air guns. Even if you get a license for a shotgun here, you can’t hunt without a license and the shotgun can only hold 3 shells.
@@GreeklishOutdoors I’ve noticed you mentioning the rules in Greece around air guns, very interesting. Why do you think they have those rules? Interestingly enough in the states there are tons of places where there are limits of the amount of ammunition you can have for certain real guns, for certain types of game! Also a hunting/fishing license is pretty much required everywhere I believe. I’ve never been hunting myself, it’s not for me but despite a lot of… lax laws about some things hunting is taken pretty seriously here too.
Nice lil pesting rifle! I have the wood stocked version. Stock is too thick to fit a wall rack though. I put it in an A-frame rack I have on the floor. I use a Winchester 4x32AO scope on mine that ranges down to 15ft! Good scope for such rifles and typical shooting distances.
Yes it’s a good little rifle. The wood stock version looks nice. I’d love to fit a scope, but unfortunately it’s not allowed here in Greece. Strange as there are no power or calibre restrictions on air rifles (no license either). Thanks for watching. Take care, Jono 👍🏼✊🏼
I just got the 1077 and not even getting 24 good shots before the co2 runs low. I do notice during each shot a white spray coming out the barrel, as well as both sides of the magazine. Is this normal or part of the problem?
I think you should be getting more than 24 shots. Yes a little CO2 comes out of the barrel (especially on the first couple of shots), but you should be able to fire 3 magazines (36 shots) before the CO2 runs low. Maybe your CO2 cylinder screwed in too tightly? I hope that helps. 😊👍🏼
@@GreeklishOutdoors Screwing on the co2 too tightly or not enough was definitely one of my concerns. I'm new at this and the only other airgun I have is the Sig P229. The co2 with that gets installed by just closing the latch on the pistol. I have no reference as to how tight to turn the knob on the 1077. I've tried watching what others do on the videos, but everyone's grip is different. I will certainly try lightening up on the turns and see what happens - thank you for mentioning that.
It’s easily done if that’s the case. I’ve been shooting for a long time and I’m still learning and making mistakes. I tighten the gas cylinder until just after I hear the first hiss of the CO2. Best of luck and I hope you have fun shooting. 😊 🔫👍🏼
Nice looking gun and it looks like the Ruger 10/22 although not quite as realistic a copy as the Unamrex copy.Neither are really semi automatic more like revolvers in double action whereby the trigger pull turns the cylinder so the pull is heavy unless you cock it manually.
Yes I agree, but not too bad for a budget gun. The trigger is a bit heavy. You have to work hard to try and fire like a semi automatic. Thanks for watching and have a great day 😊👍🏼

Those pellets are interesting, looks like they confused grams and grains on the box, cus .7 grams/10.8 grains is the only realistic weight for a .177. If that's the weight it's actually a lot heavier than a standard lead .177 at 7.4 grains.
Yes I agree, they definitely mixed up grains and grams. I’ve seen the same thing with some of Norica’s other pellets. I’ve been trying a few different copper pellets (in .22 cal) and found them to be ok, with pretty good penetration. Thanks for watching and have a great day 😊👍🏼

I enjoyed this rifle review 👍 being a semi is cool I’m guessing sub 12f/lb UK limit ? Great for plinking though 😊👍 Out of interest I shoot myself and I know RUclips can be touchy about gun? Did you have any issues uploading this ? Best wishes Simon 👍😊
Thanks very much Simon. It is sub 12ft/lb but here in Greece I can legally buy an air rifle with much higher power (20+ ft/lb) without a license. No issues with uploading. Maybe because I clearly stated air rifle and put a disclaimer in the description. Lots of people upload videos with actual guns (usually in the US), as long as you don’t show graphic content. So air rifle content should be ok. Best wishes, Jono 👍🏼😊✊🏼
