The Crosman 1077 was my very first Co2 powered air rifle.. and it is still one of my favorite Co2 powered .177 pellet shooting air guns along with my Diana Chaser .22 and the Crosman 2240 which I converted from pistol to rifle by adding a long barrel and shoulder stock.. but my all time favorite Co2 air rifle is still my QB-78 Deluxe in .22 - I dont have the Tactical stock version of the 1077.. just the regular plastic stock version.. but I do a lot of custom work on my airguns.. and I have done the power mods to mine (hammer spring and valve) and some work to smooth out the horrible trigger.. and I have also added the bulk fill kit to run it from a 20oz Co2 bottle and an HPA tank. For a very cheaply priced plastic air rifle I find the 1077 to be a great air rifle in both power and accuracy for what it is.. and I can totally understand why you would say it feels like something made for a child as it is somewhat rough and crude.. but it is still a good little pesting rifle for squirrels and rats and birds.. and it can be improved upon with some work. I have always considered the Crosman 1077 to be one of Crosman's Iconic air rifles - like what the Red Ryder is to Daisy - as it has been around for several decades.. and while many other models have been discontinued or changed over the years, I believe they are still making the Crosman 1077 today (there is also the wood stock version available and I still plan to get one) There is almost a "cult like" following behind the Crosman 1077 and there are lots of people who still love and adore this air rifle - there are lots of 1077 videos right here on RUclips - Go check out channels like Juan's Airgun Reviews if you want to see just how far some people will go to mod out and customize their Crossman 1077.. Juan still has one of the nicest set ups of a custom Crosman 1077 that I have seen - check out his video here if interested : ruclips.net/video/7mqWfpI0Q18/видео.html Salute!
It's amazing what colored electrical tape can do! It really does make everything........ok maybe not everything but just about everything better. I use it a lot on the front sight of pistols to help see them better.
Great thing about, you can easily upgrade the 1077 with alliance hobby powerlet eliminator, and hook up a paintball hpa tank to it. Shoot from compressed air, never have to buy c02 again, works forever even in shtf apocalypse if you have a high pressure hand air pump. As long as you have pellets andbyou can pump air by hand, it shoots in semi auto and works forever. This gun is a great keeper if you do the hpa upgrade.
That was my 1st also. Does Alliance Hobbie still operate? I made an order a couple years ago and it never got processed. And does that spa give it a little more power? thanks ;-)
😎 Smashing review turbo15100 , way cooler than the traditional looking 1077 . and with better scoop mount as well. What was the prices between the two? This gun I am sure is very capable of being converted to bulk co2 or air even.
Why do you think that? It's not 2 CO2s. They falsely advertised it til I talked to Crosman and they changed it on the website. It's $50 more than the synthetic 1077 for no reason. It's a piece of junk. I sent mine back.
All 1077's have a horrendous trigger pull...L O N G and very crusty like. The reason for that is the trigger not only releases the firing pin it also advances the rotary magazine when the trigger is pulled. Lots going on inside when you start pulling the trigger thus the reason for the long pull. I doubt there is much that can be done about it with the present setup Crosman has. It would take a whole different pellet feed arrangement. Perhaps now that Daisy owns Crosman they can figure something out but I doubt they try.
You are absolutely right about everything you said especially about Daisy even trying to correct issues with previous platforms. More than likely they are just looking forward.
This is the first vid I've seen of yours, and since we both came to the same conclusion of " pass", I figure ill go ahead a subscribe. Lol I own a Umarex sa10 and a Gammo Swarm Magnum. Im planning to own more so I've been doing some research and your video popped up. Good content, honest opinion. 👍
@@turbo15100 I love it! The most accurate rifle I've ever owned. ( more than my old AIR 17) It's kind of limited on what ammo you can use. The clip is picky.
Mine didnt come with a sight. Can i add one? What kind, model number? Just bought Red Fire pellets and the magazine went fit back together. Seems like theyre too long.
Yes you can easily add an optic of your choice to the top picatinny rail. I would check out Amazon and find a scope that fits your budget to mount. Just make sure that if it does not come with rings to purchase the correct size. As for the Red Fire pellets they are to long for the rotary clip. If you are looking for some good pointed pellets for this rifle I would go with the new H&N Hornet pistol pellet. Just one thing......they are a little costly!
Sorry to hear that. I haven't had much trigger time behind the one I have. So far it's been reliable but with the weather I'm not sure when I will be able to really test it out. If something does fail I will attempt to fix it or modify it in some way.
@@turbo15100 definitely could be tinkered with like any 1077. I have to mention I specifically bought it because they were advertising it as using 2 CO2 because usually that means converting to HPA is quick and easy. After it jammed and flexed so bad I found it easy to just say no thanks. They finally changed the incorrect dual CO2 description on the website

This is my first 1077 but I would like to do a comparison between this one and my Nightstalker that has a 1077 barrel.
My Nightstalker was a tac driver and got dime groups at 90- 100' easily @@turbo15100 you and I know that 1077TAC will get whooped lol .
Ich habe mir jetzt diese crosman gekauft. Habe schon eine diana twenty one.
You know it’s truly tactical when it has tactical tape!

I paid $116.99 for the 1077 Tac(Used a coupon). The standard version can be purchased from Walmart.com for $89.99.

Does the barrel rattle around after removing the front sight? Thanks
The barrel is stable. I removed the sight then carefully cut off the sight blade then reinstalled the bushing.
If you do the detent mod on it youll get close to 770fps. All it takes is a 009 rubber o-ring.
where exactly would you put the o-ring?
O.k. I get it now, it goes on the groove that's on the spring loaded nozzle which contacts the pellet clip. Thanks!
Prayers for Israel! Jesus Loves You
Thank you.

i like your streight to the point style. The original stock is better. ;-]
Thanks man I really appreciate it.
The first shot dieseled. These guns are trash I sent mine back the day after posting the first review of it on RUclips.
