Red quarters are from arcades back in the day I’m old enough to remember lol
We really do enjoy watching you go through the quarters instead of just going to a wrap up like so many people are doing thanks. W quarters are our favorites to find too.
Thank you, I appreciate that! I am really glad that you are enjoying the videos :)
Arcade workers painted quarters so in pinball they would know who has been using their own quarters or something like that.
That's right, thank you for the reminder!!
I learned something today
@@QuinsCoins also for jukeboxes they'd have painted coins
Ayup, a friend of mine had a spray car wash. He always painted his quarters for his own use, when he'd gather the change he'd keep the painted ones and not count them as income.
I'm looking for a great hunt. I am a quarter freak. I have them all since 1932. As far as the Bicentennial quarters go, these are my favorite. Well over 500 & 10 years hunting.
Nice! I haven't ever tried to complete the Washington quarter series before. I am sure it isn't possible through circulation rolls, but I am more than willing to see just how far I can get!
@@QuinsCoins yeah, there were quite a few years that I had to purchase separately. The crown jewel for me was the 32 D and 32 S. They were the very last 2 ( to) get, and not cheap at all but worth every penny to get the album complete. Love the videos, keep up the great work.
A couple years ago I found a huge vintage blow mold jack o lantern someone put out for the trash. Well I grabbed it, cleaned it up and unfortunately the plug and cord was bad so I decided to turn it into a bank and all I put in it is quarters. I set it on an old bathroom scale and it is now almost up to the bottom of the eyes in quarters and it weighs 215lbs. Hubby and I toss quarters in here and there. I save my $5 bills and when I get a bunch I go down to the car wash and cash them in ha! I personally collect the bat quarters but have found some good ones including 3 with the W and 1 silver one! I hope you find lots of good quarters!
Hey Quin,
I hear you often say that bicentennial quarters aren't worth much, but if you can get 40 of them together, you can sell that roll for quite a profit. On eBay a circulated roll commonly sells between $15-18.
Great roll hunt. I know you will find them all. Take care.
Thank you!!
Hello Quinn, enjoyed your video very much.
My favorite state quarter is the Nevada quarter. I’d like the scene of the horses and the sun in the background.
My favorite national Park quarter is the “Baby Bat” Samoan. I even have a 5 ounce silver one.
I remember seeing the painted quarters when I was younger. The ones I saw were mainly dated between 65 and 67.
Great video. Thank you. 👍
Question.. what coin would you have preferred? the W or the Proof?
My first 500 dollar quarter box hunt was also interesting.
I strained my back carrying those damn quarters out of the bank.
My back was killing me for over a week.
Now that box of quarters is still sitting in the back of my car and I bought the box over a year ago....LOL
60 years old and been collecting all my life. MY MOM worked with the carnival for a long time. I also have that collection.
Hey quin! Nice video man, I like hunting quarters, yes, I’m not gonna find silver most likely, but hey, there’s proofs, W’s, foreigns and a lot more. I wish you the best of luck in this video and stay safe!
Thank you for watching! Yep I feel the same way about quarters! I wasn’t really interested in them until the W’s came into the the picture. Now it’s a lot more fun!
Love how the Phillies pop up with you so often. Back home is mainly Denver, P's are harder to find. Nice...
Fun fact about the bicentennial quarters there is a rare error that I found it's the dibble die D mint marj. It can go in uncerculated condition for 7',000 dollars.
Thanks for your content Quin 👍🇦🇺
Thank YOU for watching! 😄
Hey quin I also am a coin hunter and I like hunting all types of quarter and I also found a Kansas "in d we ust" greaseing error recently
Big like 104 my friend! Excellent video and thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
I enjoyed your video. It's just nice to hear you talking about these coins. Hope you do a box again.
Glad to see a newer video😊
100% going to start stacking the 2019/2020 quarters and checking them as a stack.
Arcades would give you a red quarter if your quarter was lost in a machine then they know it was not a profit coin but was used for promotion or return
You might be finding fewer Canadians because there's a lot less travel back and forth. First the border tightening and then COVID really cut down on casual travel.
We also live in Michigan, my wife works at our local bank and they don't except Canadian coins, do all banks do that?
lol when I first started collection coins i bought 2 proof sets just to break them out and case them.
Well for all that effort you said you did get sum up grades that is always nice to get.
I know the jukebox fellow would let waitresses have their quarters back so they would keep the music playing all the time. At the A&W where I worked they painted them red.
HOWDY QUINS COINS,GOOD VIDEO😊👍❤️
Thanks Harry!
I'm in Detroit were the Davidson Freeway ends at Linwood
Good luck Dodgers
My uncle has jugs full of coins watching these vids makes me interested on what he may have
Quin,
I enjoy watching your vlog/video...good job....question though where did you get the quarters album? I just started collecting also...any pointers or help is highly appreciated.... thanks in advance!!!!
Hey Tsing, thank you for watching! If you check the video description, you will see links to all of the quarter albums I use. I hope those help!
Gaff
If someone wanted to start their coin collecting journey, how would I know which one is the most valuable I have preferred looking at quarters are they the best to look through again will be a beginner could you put me in the right direction?
I've been collecting coins 🪙 40 some odd years started again as of 2018 when I fractured my neck, then came the pandemic during which I discovered 🪙 books , collecting bills well as of today have 75 🪙books & many star notes & still going strong, just found the bat with w and the v75 just now here in the Aldine area in Texas thanks for info❤
They would paint them and the vendor when clearing a game or whatever would give them back
Favorite coin to hunt for??? Last one to finnish a folder...so then i can fill a new album.
I found a 2021 Crown Die Chip. Not the major one, but mine covers 1/2 the hat. I find so many minor die chips I just throw those back now.
Oh wow! I wouldn't do that. The one I got in this video is the first I have found and it's very minor, but I am still going to hold onto it!
@@QuinsCoins Yes I keep them all as well do not see many. Got a few rolls not long back found a 36 s was nice.
My favorite quarter is the 2005 Oregon my home state
Nice! I have to say I have an attachment to my home state’s quarter as well 🙂
Personally, I like looking for silver, bicentennials, and Canadian or other foreigns
What kind of coin book is the one your storing your quarters in? What brand to?
Many Bars painted quarters or half dollars to signify free drinks during happy hour.
Plus there are post 2000 silver proofs.
I have been collecting state and park quarters for my grandkids. I have 2 state books almost filled the 2 park books need many more older coins
Is there any way you would sell some if the older ones that you don’t need?
I'm not really in the business of selling right now, but I would just encourage you to keep looking because they are definitely all out there!
I found one quarter from 1965!
And arcade vendor with split the profits off the machine with the owner of the bar or establishment painted coins were the coins the bar owner would put into the machine to get things started did not count against the profits.
They painted coins in the jute box Era to denote a house coin most jute boxs were supplied by a vendor, and if the business wanted to play music and get there money back they would use a painted coin.
I like Bi-Centenial Quarters to make my necklaces !
Exactly!! I hope you have were able to get some good use out of the ones I sent you 😄
@Quins Coins READ my comment !!
I did and responded to it 😄
Not to bad a hunt
They painted the quarters when they had coin operated machines the painted ones were the coins the owner had in the machines. Not profit.
I think there's 39 but I could be wrong because I'm really bad at counting But if my calculations are correct that means38Quarters and1pennie
painting .25 cent go go Girls
Silver
Man, I am so pissed when I see you open a roll and there is a penny in there. Does that happen on accident from the machine?
Oh really.... OH-IO!!!! GO BUCKEYES!!! 🔥💯 💪🙏
Scammer in the chat
YESS IM FROM TEXASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS lol btw love the videos man, keep it up!
I’m from texas
Almost immediately after the 2 Texas quarters you mentioned there were 2 New Hampshire quarters in a row lol... at least I think I saw it. Like this if you saw it too.
Ive been finding quarters with smooth edgings lately from eagle quarters so not just the ridged edgings and not sure what that is Im dealing with?
How rare is a 1999 silver state quarter?
Unless it has an S mint mark, it is probably not actually silver. But if it is, it should be worth at least $3.66 based on melt value!
@@QuinsCoins yeah. But how rare is it to find though? I work at a gas station and it was in a random roll
@@GavinWasHere3 it depends- what is the mint mark on it?
@@QuinsCoins k, im looking
@@QuinsCoins it has a P mint mark...
Where could I buy a mikerschoop for a poor boy
Amazon has a large selection of microscopes available
I am! #fromtexas
I have a W in my quarters
I found a 2021 like that but the metal splotch only took up like half of his hat
Was wondering if it still worth something
Can I have a coin I’d like to describe that for mode and hit that bell
Tengo monedas si te interesan
r u married?
....any rare coin will be found by an compoota yeah
fun vid tho
its so saturated if you did think 20 years ago maybe youd find a lot more but now adays this chet has been done over and over
id mark every single coin thats the world today why is someone going to waste their time going through this stuff you can see how much they do and thats a sign to not do it yourself to not go through and search for coins its a waste but to each their own
none of these will be worth anything in ur life time so make sure you have kids and lots of em and build a legacy and teach em right bc those lil chets will ruin ur coin books
