This IS NOT how it's done. Uninstalling one drive will leave parts of it on your folder. Believe me, I tried it and found out the hard way. There are several steps needed to remove onedrive.

@DualsPortvet I did uninstall onedrive, deleted my sync cloud data from the cloud that last updated in april, so I am sure I stopped it updating my desktop for good. I managed to sucessfully move the desktop folder out, just with documents I'm getting an error, cause there was already a folder called documents in my user, even though I moved it away, I still cannot restore the default location for documents. Maybe after a restart... what a nightmare! I don't remeber ever wanting a onedrive backup, or consented to it. What else do you suggest?

No matter what I do it keeps coming back. I delete it and it returns, files go missing, other files are disabled and can't be used. What is happening.
Microsoft will always RE-Install One Drive when it finds it missing, during its Monthly Updates.

So how do you repoint programs that needed that info and look for it in One Drive because it is a default path for certain programs if you remove it?
Unfortunately it didn't work for me. It is not possible to copy/cut other folders as suggested. I think MS made sure that folks cannot remove the soft ware! Also the MSOneDrive app does not appear in the "Apps & Features"also MS OneDrive does not appear in the "Uninstall or change program! list! its very annoying that MS is slowly removing the policy of giving its customers the right to choose!!!
@@Rizz407 MS support say its not possible to un-install (they woul;d" say that of course. Loging out of it was the only way to stop it. However it still appears when I save anything.

bro thank you, i used this since video because i downloaded a sketchy one drive supporter app i gotten while trying to get a emulator for a game and i thought it wanted me to get them for it to work but i didn’t read the instructions and i saw and it was an ad and i was like omg i think i downloaded a virus, i didn’t know how to delete them and i get a message of it to scan my pc every like 5 minutes and i subscribed because you helped (: the thing the helped me was remove apps and features

Uninstalled OneDrive and even the logo vanished but after an auto Windows update after a period of time, the OneDrive logo reappeared on my 'Account' window in 'Settings.' How? Why? And how do I remove it? I don't even have OneDrive showing as an app or program on my comp'. Thanks in advance!!!🙏

Yeah. If you want to delete it, you have to delete your entire Microsoft account. I would just sign out of one drive and disable stuff for it. Also I think Microsoft said if you don’t use it for about two years they will automatically delete it

Free version of REVO (portable) will rip that whole program out by the roots. Even down to the registry. Friggin program is buried deep in the pc.
Too bad I need to have it installed first for this to work. I uninstalled onedrive a long time ago, don't plan to instal it back, lol. I am close to the final solution I think, I just have to restore my original documents location yet, and that's it.
