This video is perfect for anyone curious about the real cost of living for a family of five in Australia in 2024! It’s eye-opening to see how everyday expenses add up and what it truly takes to budget in today’s economy. The detailed breakdown of rent, groceries, utilities, education, and other essentials is super helpful for planning purposes, especially for families or those considering a move to Australia. Thanks for making budgeting feel more approachable and giving such a clear picture of living costs!
Thankyou so much for your kind words and yes everyday expenses DO ADD UP!!! I feel we all need to live by a budget in the current climate for a full understanding where one’s hard earned cash is going, spot where it’s being wasted and rectify to get in a comfortable position. Thanks for watching xx
Thanks for sharing, great channel! I really liked the budgeting layout, especially the pocket money section. We do something similar, and it covers things like personal hobbies, trips to the hairdresser, clothes, and gym or other personal subscriptions 😊
Thankyou for your kind words💜 Good to hear other couples have a similar budget approach, by having our ‘own’ money I’ve found it reduces the money spending disagreements making for a happier household 😄🏠💜
Wonderful breakdown of your monthly expenses, it sure does add up over the month. I hope your November is tracking well for you. What a treat to go back to the UK last month with your daughter and I'm sure it was so lovely to be back with family and friends and no doubt it was busy over there. Did it make you feel homesick to move back to the UK or are you happy living in Australia? You didn't mention airfares in your monthly expenses, or was that built in the previous month. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thankyou Simone for your lovely words, I read it out to everyone after dinner -we all thought it was lovely and sorry it’s took so long for me to reply as we really appreciate you taking time to write💜 We had an excellent time in the UK last month, it was my Nanny’s 90th birthday and I so wanted to be there with her celebrating, I can tell you now it was absolutely worth it -we made some beautiful memories. I always prefer to spend my money on trips like that than material things and yes I did buy the tickets a few months ago. I don’t feel homesick when I visit, I do miss people but my life is here in OZ now & I couldn’t imagine living back in the UK now. It’s also changed a lot over there in the past 10 years and sadly not in the best of ways. Do you live in Australia? Is it Sydney?xx
@@MoneySmartMum And what a beautiful and kind reply, thank you so much! I thought it was so sweet that your read my comment with your family after dinner, that filled me up with warmth and smile. What an absolute treat to go back for your Nanny's 90th Birthday, you definitely couldn't miss that, she must have filled up with tears of joy on seeing your little faces arrive, what an amazing occasion, and many happy birthday returns to your Nanny. You are exactly right, memories for the keepers' box are so important to make and treasure, and like you I'm not one for material things. My rule is only buy it if I like it not what because I think others would like it...!! And if it's within budget of course hehehe! I've heard that about the UK, that's it is not the same, but it always looks so pretty in vlogs and it has amazing history. My family are from Sussex in Brighton originally but came to Australia as 10 pound poms. Many years ago, and I was born and raised in Adelaide. However, yes I moved to Sydney with my husband and at the time little girls and that was nearly 18 years now. I would never move back to Adelaide to live (never say never but I would only go back temporarily to take care of family) but I wouldn't like to live there, it is too small for me. And Sydney is where we raised our girls and I love my home too much. We live on the lower north Shore. I'm so sorry for the long message, I got carried away. I hope your savings for November and budget is tracking well. We are having a good month, I'm trying hard because I know in December I will treat my family and food budget I'm bound to go over on that one. It's been lovely watching a young family budget, you remind me of myself when I first started. I promise you this, you will be so glad you did it. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for your message. Sending wishes from Sydney and take care. And remember your little ones will only remember warmth, laughter, games and special treats of Christmas...don't break yourself thinking you need to do it all. XXX
Hi there👋🏻For us moving to OZ was the best decision we made -it’s given us great opportunities, we’re financially better off, endless sunshine ☀️and amazing place to bring our kids up xx good luck xx
Hi dear, I have seen the videos on your channel(Money Smart Mum). Your video is excellent but video optimization is very poor and no SEO score. Subscribers and Views are very low. And there are many problems. Your RUclips channel immediately needs to be SEO-friendly. I am a Digital Marketer and SEO Specialist. I also design modern and eye-catching thumbnails. If you want you can discuss. Thank you❤❤💥
Yes I agree subscribers & views are low but considering I've only put out 13 videos I would say I am doing pretty damn good :) Thankyou for watching and no need for any future discussions x
