Sure, but is this someone who should present the Daily Show? A guy that went to some school with a lot of other actors that are part of a network that got them in the business.
@@yaboysix Doesn't matter. This is not the place imho. F.e. I listen to the 'fake doctors real friends' podcast. Donald Faison has the same kind of background and that's fine. Pretty cool stories on how he and people like Tara Reid and Jerrel O'Connel used to hang out and party. But on the Daily Show it needs to be about current topics. If Epps had a show or movie coming out, or was doing some other project, it would be different.
This felt more like you’re meeting them at a party and they’re genuinely telling you about their lives. Doesn’t feel like a show or an interview, and it’s awesome!
That’s because Marlon is an “IDIOT” he’s going to make any and everything funny even when he is really trying. The baby boy of the bunch so got something from all his brothers. As for me top notch fam love them all and love their work.
I met Omar and Heavy D down in Miami Beach when they were filming Big Trouble. Both spent way more time talking with me and my date for way longer than other celebrities I've met. Solid dude. RIP to the overweight lover MC.
What Omar said about each piece being part of a mosaic is so beautiful and true- to the body of his work and regarding life itself. From crushing on Omar during the time of Juice and Higher Learning and finding joy during difficult parts of my childhood via In Living Color, this was magical to watch. To see them get to this point is so powerful. I feel like they're part of the fabric of my childhood and adulthood now. What gifts they both are.
Marlon killed it! He bought the funny, the interviews were awesome and the correspondence segments were great! They all had instant chemistry! He should do this full time.
Wow! I had the biggest school girl crush on Omar Epps when he played Q in Juice back in the day. He was so fine with his chocolate self. He’s still handsome. He has a beautiful family. Happy for his success.
This was so refreshing and funny to watch, and it felt more so like listening to one's family members catch up during the holidays. I laughed so hard at the song Marlon made about Omar's theft, and Omar joining him to finish the song was the icing on the cake. Memories like these are what friendships are made for.
This was such a wonderful "interview". It felt like watching two old friends laugh it up about their glory days. The beautiful friendship yall have shines through. I love to see it.
Hilarious interview! That said, after the shoplifting story, Marlon missed the perfect opportunity to hit Omar with the line from the movie: "You got the juice now!" 🤣🤣🤣
Imagine you made it through the dinner of full roasting and at the end the missing uncle Damon comes through the door for dessert and sees you with cake in your shirt....
That’s real friendship. To see them both still have that bond from childhood is awesome. The only movie I can remember that they starred in together was “Don’t Be A Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood”
I don't know about high school anywhere else, but going to high school in new york city was the best for me. Taking the bus and train and acting a fool with your friends on the way to school, acting a fool on the way home. Jumping double dutch in the locker room. Going to the basketball court to shoot hoops and having a full fledge basketball game right before you go home, then your moms be made cuz you walking in the house all late and she wondering where you was all evening...I can go on and on, but to hear them talking about the high school days in the city brings back a lot of memories for me lol.
their rapport is beautiful. Such different personalities but they mesh. Thats friendship in its essence. It's not like family where you have an ingrained love. Friendship is seeing what you wish you could emulate in someone else and admiring them for it. Friends are usually always opposite its amazing
I commend Omar for handling this contrasting, conflicting interview with love and class. I mean like, maybe he might not have wanted to reminisce about these experiences with America watching so I don't know how to feel about that but he handled it well. His professionalism and reason for being there still reached us but I think I still have questions.
Seeing them talk about how they grew up really makes me wish I wasn’t 25 in 2023. The world is so more complicated for reasons that really don’t matter once we all leave those earth. People used to really care about things that mattered. Love that they keep that same energy after all these years. And to see where these two have made it after all these years is special
This was so fun and entertaining! I almost forgot to order my copy of Nubia: The Awakening! Everything about the interview shows why he could write about a young person’s mind becoming aware. Thank you Kings! Thank you for the love, laughter, and knowledge!💝✊🏾😂👑
Marlon was made for a tv and has all the attributes to carry this show beyond Trevor. I like his goofiness. It’s like watching his characters in the movies. ❤ from 🇿🇦
I saw an episode of Wayans Bros waaay back in person at Sunset Gower studios. So much fun from the shooting to the goofing around, to seeing Damon's son just hanging out (not Damon, but his son). Marlon has been so much fun to watch this week at TDS. His honest talk and playfulness is just awesome to see. Too bad John Witherspoon couldn't be there to join in. Thank you, Marlon, for hosting and hope to see more!
@SunniCalifornia didn't know they had history like that so I was just sayin that's a true friendship marlin threw Omar an ally got him on the show while promoting his book
Real friendship, brothers sharing genuine love and laughter. In these times this small video clip feels like such an enormous gift. There are all types of friendships yet those who know you first, well, the depth of its significance is difficult to describe. Lastly, from the neighborhood, if you are lucky, there is definitely a Marlon type friend running with your crew!! So very cool.
I Love This So Much... Marlon is my boy and Omar Is So Great As You Can See They Hae A Special Relationship showing how compassionate they both are And How Humble They Are Never forgetting where they came from
It's SO weird how i haven't watched the Daily show in like 10 years (ya know other than seeing some clips here and there) to watching and enjoying all these guest hosts a lot. I gotta say, Marlon makes me laugh the most.
If they were to pick a permanent host, this would be my guy. Been laughing harder all week! I have a great ole friend that I catch up with every now and then, same vibes during this interview. I loved every ounce of this.
One of the realist, funniest, genuine and heartwarming interviews I ever saw. I have grown up with them and enjoyed watching them become their greatest!
8:21 LOOOOOL! This was such a perfect reaction. Marlon is SO naturally funny, it's crazy. Natural born comedian. I was even thinking the same thing: "Ooooh! Nice word. Well-used!"
Marlon is that one friend you like who also finds a way to humiliate you in a way you can’t be mad at him.

Exactly 😂😂🥰
Lol, right? Constantly roasting!
I love this
I love this - they instantly went back to being friends in school teasing each other! What an awesome friendship!

So awesome
Love seeing two OGs like Omar and Marlon back together
What's amazing...2 successfully black men that actually grew up together.....

Sounds like a weird episode of The Wire.
Marlon hosting doesn't sound like there's a script, so natural
But not as funny
I agree never been funny in his whole career

So corny
It’s dope that they been homies all these yrs ✊🏿
Can we see more interviews with celebrities that have been friends for a really long time? This was just incredibly wholesome.
Isn't this just great.. a testament to how "you are the company that you keep."

RIP to the overweight lover MC.
I worked at the Cross County Multiplex movie theater in Yonkers and Heavy always brought kids to the theater. He was an absolute prince of a man.
Marlon has the humanity that we loved from Trevor, but the kills it with the comedy i grew up on. Hope more people like Marlon host the show.
I always feel real appreciation for Omar Epps' mind after every interview of his I see. He is such an intelligent, regal man. 🖤
Please make a show based on this friendship, especially of them growing up in New York.
That actually would be dope
Yes!!
I would be on that like white on rice and black on coal
That’s a great idea
This ain’t even an interview, this is two best friends just laughing about old times ❤️
I had mad crushes back in the day for both these brothers! I love their manhood, success, brotherhood, and swag! Rooting for them! 🫶🏾🙌🏾💯
