    I am here in Wolverine Campground in Columbia Ville, Michigan sitting in my brand new Skyline spring bar tent! I just love it! It is incredibly spacious inside. Awesome job you guys! I plan to take good care of her so she last me a lifetime!❤❤❤

    Great job everyone. There’s a lot of pride going in to these tents. I wouldn’t mind owning one to get back in to camping.

    I've been using Springbars all over my 40 years and as a native Utahn it's fun to see how they all come together. My Traveler 5 has been treating me well for the last 15 years. One thing I wish Springbar would make was something like an Oztent, it doesn't necessarily need to be quick pitch but something freestanding. The staked down design is amazing for so many reasons, but it's hard for one night setups in rocky terrain.

    I just ordered my Skyliner based on your video reviews, and can't wait to take it out for its first outing next month. It's so great to see the actual people whose hands actually made it!

      Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! And ya, a nice little cameo from the guy who ran that business for years after his own dad did before that. He's still there designing tents and doing the things he loves I suppose. He was the designer of the Skyliner.

    I have a Springbar 'Traveler 5'. Its a great tent! Very stable in a storm. The last time i had it out, the tent withstood some pretty powerful 'feeder bands' from an oncoming hurricane. The park Rangers eventually evacuated the campground. Im 70 years old. And, while its a challenge to set-up myself, I can do it. Plenty of room for a cot, folding table and chair. IMHO, the perfect 'Glamping' tent.

    I love this. I purchased one of these tents so I cannot wait to break it in! I camped years ago in a canvas tent and then stopped. I have been looking into RV's but the cost and the monthly payments along with insurance and the fact I would really only be doing this about two weeks out of an entire year, doesn't make them worth it to me (not now anyway). I love the idea that putting up the tent is relatively easy. I have seen tents with so many poles and sleeves that it's too intimidating. I like simple, easy. So, I cannot wait to go camping!

    How come they let their patent lapse? Was it too expensive or an oversight? Would love to know. I'd love to make these in South Africa.

      Patents only last for 20 years then it’s released to the public. If there is an addition or an improvement, then the improvement patent will last for 20 years from the day the improvement was patented.
      Patent pending means the design is filed for consideration and approval of a patent. The allotted time for this process is 1 year. If the design cannot be patented within this timeframe, the invention will belong to the public domain.

    I just ordered my Classic Jack 100. Tell them workers that have to work overtime to get my tent shipped asap. I am excited about getting this tent. I’m a living confused about this. You show that springbar tents are cut and sewn there in UT but by your website it stays cut and sewn in china.

    • @theoutdoorempire
      @theoutdoorempire  5 месяцев назад +1

      Springbar does both. Their Classic Jack and Highline tents are made in China, but the others are made in the USA.

      @@theoutdoorempire ok but if for any reason I need mine repaired they do that in the US. Is that correct?

    Why are they out of stock on some products? Unacceptable. They have a very high end product. High quality. But you can’t sell what you don’t have

    • @theoutdoorempire
      @theoutdoorempire  Месяц назад

      They make it all there in Utah and I'm sure they try and manage inventory and costs. But they also only have so many workers and can only produce so much product. When their gear is good and in high demand, it makes sense to me why they run out of stock sometimes.
