That first warden fight was one of the funniest group encounters Ive ever seen in any mmorpg and Ive had 12 friends in a call at like 2-3 AM full blown screaming in chaotic panic before on a day1 raid. Genuinely I wish I was that funny.

I am actually really curious how he came up with 27 raids for FFXIV. If you only counted 8 mans, there are 56. If you add in ultimates, there are 60. If you add in alliance raids, there are 73. If you count all of those, but only as a raid series instead of individual fights, there are 14. The closest number i could get to 27 was by counting each savage raid tier as a separate raid, and including alliance and ultimates, i got 23. So where the hell did 27 come from?

What's going on at jagex: It's clear they are trying to become a publicly traded company. They intentionally hold content back to the beginning of a quarter so they can report to potential investors "look at this we have all this engagement this quarter" So now content isn't being dropped consistently right when it is done and if there are development issues or overlapping content, it just gets withheld longer.

RuneScape was ALWAYS fun to me. I started playing in the early to mid 2000s when I was in middle school and highschool. After graduating HS I fell off due to being introduced to the world of adulting and responsibilities but after the pandemic I found myself creating a new account and playing again and its 10x better now than the previous version I remember. I wished I had my old account though so many years of hard work and progress lost along with Veteran status *le sigh*
It’s so worth it man! I had never raided before destiny 1 but once I took the plunge in that game I fell in love. There’s tons of people in any game that love guiding first timers and there’s nothing quite like the feeling of overcoming difficult challenges with people you enjoy gaming with. Raids are at their best with a group you enjoy playing with but the first step to finding a group you vibe with is to find any group at all. MMOs are social games at their core and raids are definitely the pinnacle of that
