- This is such a good addition to Blender. I can see people using them allot to make custom object setups that someone without much Blender knowledge can change easily.

I love the gizmo nodes, and you showed me the step I was missing for doing the transform gizmo, because I couldn’t connect that for the life of me. Thank you for showing that!
@@NathanWAdams Happy to have been able to help 😁
At first I thought I’d wait until I’d watched a bunch of videos then decide for myself when to stop being confused how to configure them. But fiddling with them + watching videos like this *together* has been more successful getting me comfortable implementing them. I should write a paper about this technique
@fergadelics Oh I'm pretty sure it's a better way to learn. Especially with Blender as there is just SO much functionality you can't learn it without doing.
@@ArtisansofVaul Im just kinda giving myself shit in a comments section because it goes over poorly out loud at home. Thanks for the help as always. I know kung fu
@@fergadelics Haha. Understandable! Vent away!
These gizmos are gonna be super handy for making Geometry Nodes much more intuitive than just the basic input fields.
Totally agree. Its such a nice visual device.
Great procedural tool!
Definetly!
It took me for-stinking-EVER to figure out why my node connector lines were straight, when each and every time you moved a node around it was curved. Clearly I am way to freaking anal about things. Oh... great video!
Hmm... Why were they straight?!
@@ArtisansofVaul For whatever reason, my 'default' settings under preferences, themes, and then Node Editor... at the bottom... the "noodle curving" was set to 0. I bumped it up to 6, and now it looks a bit closer to what it should in my head.
Yeah blender 4.3 is the greatest update in a long time. Not to mention custom brush assets library and minimum Uv stretching. 😊
Totally agree. Im loving it so far.
there should be custom gizmos as well. like fence type for array. thickness for extrude.
@rajendrameena150 That would be really cool. Not sure how they would program that but it would be great
@@ArtisansofVaul i think blender need a dedicated UI community which should handle UI improvement as blender team adding new features. just like bforartist.
Question: I am certain that I am doing something incorrectly, but instead of having a dial gizmo for the "Y Axis" count, I am trying to get an arrow gizmo in addition to the "X Axis" gizmo. No matter which settings I tick, tweak, or smack with a hammer, the gizmo refuses to move with the Y Axis (and then stay at the end of the row) like it did for the X Axis. It continues to reset back to the origin, and often times (depending on the tick and tweaks) resets further back from the starting origin. Again, I am sure I have missed something super obvious. Any suggestions?
EDIT: Further tinkering. It seems to be a direct result of the linear gizmo "direction" option being set to a -1... so that it points the proper direction. With it set to a positive 1, the arrow head is facing the wrong direction, but at least it doesn't reset back to the origin or reset well beyond the origin. It is workable, just not in the proper orientation. Maybe they can put a tick option to make the head of the arrow go on either side of the stem?
@keithmathews4605 hmm... That sounds odd. I might need to look at you're node setup but I'd happily check it out if you can message me on Instagram or somewhere you can send an image?
I only wish i could add text to the gizmos to explain what each gizmo does… though I guess I could very hackly do it with a string to curves node?
@@IgnacioGuajardo-t3v I'd love to be able to do that. Or have the value above the node.
@IgnacioGuajardo-t3v I'm not sure if that would work well as it would cause issues with the mesh at the end (though could be easy to clean up)
Yeah for now i guess it’s: “oh what do all the gizmos do?” *clicks checkbox*
And then remember to un tick checkbox at the end.
цель не оправдывает средств, проще создать такую крышу обычным способом .
It really isnt. It takes a bit longer to set this up the first time (but not my that much) and then its vastly faster every time you want to do it. So if you make a lot of models with a roof this saves SO much time.
@@ArtisansofVaul согласен, для массового производства это хорошо. -Спасибо за все уроки !
