You do great work and I'll supplement these results with some observations of my own. I bought both the Osram CBI and WhiteVision for 9005/HB3 sockets. The Philips bulb actually comes in at around 3400k and the Osram around 3200k color temperature. This was measured with a photographic color temperature meter. So, not only is the WhiteVision very bright, but it is also a "whiter" halogen compared to this Osram. The WhiteVision is definitely the best road legal "white" halogen.
Which one should I get as WV are not bright on my car ford focus 2013. I have tried Osram CBI and Philips WV and DV but nothing can't see enough at night. Could you advise me any good with powerfull brightness?
@@m3rovingian Thank you very much for your answer! What about LED, as it is a high beam? I don't know of Osram or Philips making HB3 bulbs, but would an LED have a good beam pattern, or maybe I better stick with halogens?
@@zacmich6472 The HIKARI LEDs are really great. On the high beams sky is the limit and you don't have to worry about any pattern. You would be blinding the others either way if you'd keep them on when you'd pass any driver by.
I decided to get Philips white vision for my fog lights and my low beams. Just can't decide what to get for high beams... Osram Nightbraker, Nightbraker Laser, or Philips Racing Vision.
Get the same Philips WhiteVision for the high beams as well. You will be very pleasantly amazed by the whiter color and you'll notice the difference right away. Like this your car will have a very stylish look, especially with those fog lamps up to 4300k. For the parking lights, the Philips X-tremeVision LED w5w T10 6000k were the ones I liked the most.
m3rovingian I drive a w203 C-class, so LEDs would look a bit silly... I'd also need resistors. Anyway, thanks for the quick reply. Still thinking tho. A nightbraker laser on the high beams would be good, cause they are more powerful than the white vision and will light the road further. Are the Nightbraker Lasers white too, or are they yellowish? I'll browse a bit more and take your advice into consideration. Thanks again.
megadriver6 I understand. The NB Laser have a warmer light than WhiteVision. Keep that in mind. Whatever you decide to get I hope you'll use them as long as possible.
Get the same Philips WhiteVision for the high-beams. You will immediately see the difference from all the bulbs you had before on that fitting. They light up very nice and the whiter light will give you a feeling of greater safety while driving.
m3rovingian I took your advice and got White visions for all of the headlights in December and I love them. The light is brighter and colder. It's a very crisp, white. The car also looks cooler. Wish Mercedes made it easier to install xenon lights. You have to swap out a headlight control unit, the headlights, two sensors and you need to have someone with Star, program the control unit and tick the "xenon" option. Estimated cost of all of this goes to about 1200 Euro. Not worth it.
I see in your videos that headlights make two separate lightspots on the road, with the left driver's side lightspot being closer. Is this the correct alignment? I finally cleaned my headlights in the inside and got them aligned at a dealer, but they seem to make just one lightspot, with driver's side being quite dim.
The driver side will always be like than, with a shorter pattern and lower than the right one, so we don't blind the other drivers from the opposite way. You should see 2 light spots also as long as you have both lights on.
@@m3rovingian It can, it has a screw, but it's fiddly and the screwdriver they advise to use scrapes the plastic. I'll try it in the evening and turn it by hand or with a T-wrench
Hi , what's brighter and whiter and throws light the furthest, philips cystalvision, philips white vision or osram cool blue intense. Cheers Julian from Australia
i have a 2003 Grand Am 3.4L v6 problem with my headlights i have HID lights with Can-Bus Ballasts the problem that i am having is the when the lights are shinning on the wall or ground it is impossible to adjust cause my head lights has a center piece that is open in the center and i have noticed on the standard halogen bulb has a painted end on the bulb where they work fine but not bright enough so i decided to go with the HID and then noticed that the end of the bulb has no painted end on the tip or chrome so my problem is how do i fix this the lights are shinning everywhere but cannot adjust and has big shadows on the ground and on the wall my reflector center piece has no chrome tip is there away that i can make a reflector to make the lights shine better look up the headlights and you can see what i mean about the open center reflector.
The only way to solve you problem is to install the Xenon bulbs inside projector lenses. The HID's are not made to be used like halogens, in simple headlight, with reflectors, because they are very bright, will blind everyone from the opposite way and will diffuse the light everywhere from the cucu's nest up to the moon and back, instead of lighting up just the road ahead. You must install some projectors like the Hella ones of Morimoto Mini, those kind of lenses that will focus the xenon light and will have a clear edge line above which will not blind anyone and will give you a great visibility at night. Don't paint your xenons or modify your standard headlight reflectors in any way, aside from installing the projectors, with the possible adaptor for the fitting. You should have a specialised service near you, which can make that job for you.

Nice video my friend Merovingian ! Watching it, i got the impression that Philips have a more intense white light , and that they are lighting the edges of the road better than the Osrams. It is the main difference I ve noticed after installing my Extreme Visions as well, its not only that they are brighter, they are also producing a wider beam, thus giving the driver a much better idea of the whole of the road, not only the lane he is moving in ....!
Hey john! nice to hear from you again! It's true, in the footage the WhiteVision appear like they light up a greater surface, having +60% more light than the +20% of the Osram, but judging by the "looks" they were nearly identical. I had them installed by two different mechanics, so maybe that has something to do with it, as well. Hope you're doing well!
m3rovingian I am trying my best, day after day...:) I dont think it has something to do with the mechanics, mine are installed by the same garage, and they are clearly having a wider beam than my previous Philips, which were an older model, with + 30 % light ....!
Hello, thanks for the comparison! General question: What do the headlights look like wenn the car and the lights are turned off? Are the blue bulbs noticeably shimmering through the headlight`s glazing? I am asking because I personally wouldn`t like this effect. Thanks!
Hello. Thank you for your appreciation! You would have t really come close to the headlight in order to perceive the bulb's coating really. So I wouldn't worry about that thing. Both of these halogens are street legal so that means the coating is not that noticeble. You would have that effect only from the 5000k off-road halogens, like Philips DiamondVision or Osram Cool Blue Hyper/+.
will the osram nbu be compartible with projrctor headlamp assembly ??? i was using a stock headlamp assembly fir my chevy cruze but i just got a aftermarket headlamp assembly so can u plz tell me ...
Seems to me, from the video at least that the osrams are more towars a cool color than the philips. I had the CBI's und NightBreakerUnl. from osram and I wonder if you could compare the WhiteVision the Nightbreakers. Do they come close to each other and which is the bluest? Thank you!
You're perfectly right. It must be caused by the darker blue coating of the Osram Cool Blue Intense. Still, as much as I would like, the Nightbreakers cannot be placed in the same tier with WhiteVision, simply because they have that strong yellowish look on the daytime. WhiteVision will always have a colder light than Nightbreakers. I will soon compare the Nightbreakers with XtremeVision +130% in the same side-by-side manner, because, between those two, it can be a fair comparison.
Hi mate, I'm looking to get my headlights upgraded. My DRLs are H15 and normal dipped are H7s. But can only find the Osram Cool Blue bulbs for H15, so was thinking would I best to pair them with H7 Osram Cool Blue too, or H7 Philips White Vision? Thanks in advance
Hi man, congrats for you great job, all your videos are really helpfull.Let's get to the point. I've recently bought a civic tourer which has led for the low beams ( fantastic light and look ) and halogens for the high beams( both terrible ). Taking into consideration that when high beams are on, they work with the low beams at the same time, the difference of colour is very notorious and the light improvement very poor. I'm planning to get a new set of halogens in order for them to match the closest possible to the led ( I know that is going to be imposible to reach the led whitness...). So After watching your videos I was about to decide between the Philips White Blue or Osram Cool Blue Intense, but then I watched a Piaa White Xtrem video and to be honest, I don't know which one should I get. What would be your recomendation? By the way, my car's halogens are H7.Thanks so much in advance. Take care.
Hello! To match exactly the light color of an LED with a halogen is a very hard task, if you want to buy road legal halogens. All of them have yellowish light, in order to be bright enough. My opinion is that you'll get the color match for the led's only from the 5000k halogens on the market, and those, unfortunately, are very poor in light; they output half the luminosity. It's up to you to decide, but i would not recommend it. The coldest light possible from a road legal halogens is from Osram Cool Blue Intense; but even those, i repeat, will look a bit yellow comparing them to the LED's you have. I don't know about the PIAA halogens. I haven't tested them. Thank you. U2!
Hi and thanks for your quick answer!!! Yes, I know there is going to be a differerence between them both in term of color temperature, but to be honest, if I get the whitest light possible with an important gain of light, I'll be more than pleased. I think I'm going to follow your piece of advice and get the CBI. I really appreciate your help.Take care.

Hi m3rovingian. I've bought for my h7 55w dipped beams, Osram Cool Blue Intense 4200k as I read online that it's a little cooler white than Philips white vision. Now I'm thinking of going for Osram W5W 501 LEDriving Long Life 4000K leds for sidelights, as I think they will be a little closer colour than the Philips 4000k leds, to Osram Cool Blue Intense 4200k. Would you agree?
Ok thanks, I've just bought the Osram leds. Currently I have ebay leds at 6000k, which make the Osram Cool Blue Intense 4200k look a bit yellow together. I can't wait for the Osram 4000k leds to hopefully match and look great together.
I have received them today and it turns out that the 4000k leds shine a slightly cooler white, than the warmer Cool Blue Intense 4200k which looks more like 3700k. I may try the Philips that are supposed to be a warmer white
You will get the same minor difference. Even @ 4000k, an LED will be cooler than a 4200k advertised halogen. But maybe this shows the power of marketing, that the road legal halogens of 4200-4300k are not exactly what they state to be :) The 3700k seems more accurate to the reality than what it is written on the package.
Hi again! Very successful in both. But we know that performance bulbs have a short life span. Do you know that the older one is longer lasting? TEŞEKKÜRLER!
Salut. Am si eu cateva intrebari despre Philips White Vision.
Becurile alea 5w5 care vin in pachet is tot white vision? Ca nu pune pe cutie. Mie mi se par fff albastre. Merg in loc de cele originale pe pozitie sau is prea albastre? Ce Led imi recomanzi? Mersi.
Salut.
Uite aici: ruclips.net/video/bE5TB6rznHc/видео.html si ruclips.net/video/ASE0D5ka0b0/видео.html
I am looking for a white Xenon feeling bulb for my projector set for my car. I am from India and will buy it from ebay. Please suggest White vision or Cool blue intense. Thanks in advance.
Hello. If you don't mind spending just a bit more, I would install Philips WhiteVision from the bottom to the top, on all the beams. Just so you know, a 4300K halogen is no match for a Xenon bulb. But it'll be way better than standard.
+m3rovingian I just want abright white light from top to bottom that could help me out at night , even at the time of rain as well as fog . plz suggst . And is the usage of HID's a better solution or not ?
What you need to understand is that all street legal halogens will output a slight yellowish color, no matter what. That's how they give the best brightness and visibility on the road. From the halogen stylish look line I recommend Philips WhiteVision. If you want the best brightness on the road from a strong yellowish halogen, Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited is the better choice; I saw people turning their heads while looking at my low beams and fog lamps, on which I had installed Osram NBU, amazed by the light, during the rain at night. But you say you don't want that color light. The Xenon HID will always outperform a halogen, it is simply no contest there.
Okay so by your recommendation, i can get Philips whitevision on the low beam and osram's Nightbreaker unlimited . right ? What about on the high beams then ?
I would suggest sticking with the same brand on all the sockets, low/high beams, fog lamps. Because you said you want the light to be as white as possible (for a halogen), I suggest going with Philips WhiteVision on everything, depending on what socket you have on the low and high beams (H7 I guess) and again Philips WhiteVision on the fog lamps (H11 most probably). Also, if you want the perfect match on color with the parking lights, I higly recommend buying also the Philips X-tremeVision LED (T10) w5w 4000k. Turn them all on and you'll make day out of the night. You can buy everything I mentioned above from powerbulbs.com, at the best prices and quality, with free shipping world-wide. Hello. thank you for your appreciation. My personal favorite are Philips WhiteVision, due to their stylish look and awesome lifespan. You can expect them to last 2 years.
Hi. Congratulations for your work, it's excellent. I'm from Argentina and I do not get the Philips White Vision. The Crystal Vision Ultra are similar? What would you recommend me between the Crystal Vision Ultra and Cool Blue Intense?
If the CrystalVision ultra is the bulb with soft blue coating on the glass and a matte blue cap on top, then yes, they are worth buying. But if they have a silver cap on top stay away from them because they are very bad. If that is the case and you cannot buy wither WHiteVision then get Osram Cool Blue Intense. they will be a bit dim on rain though, but otherwise are good enough and the light is identical with WHiteVision.
In that case only a Xenon Kit will please you. it's simply the way it is. You won't find a good halogen, with white crisp light, anywhere on the market.
Philips WhiteVision is up and Osram Cool Blue Intense are on the lower footage. Have adnotations on.
m3rovingian white vision are brighter and colder no?
You do great work and I'll supplement these results with some observations of my own. I bought both the Osram CBI and WhiteVision for 9005/HB3 sockets. The Philips bulb actually comes in at around 3400k and the Osram around 3200k color temperature. This was measured with a photographic color temperature meter. So, not only is the WhiteVision very bright, but it is also a "whiter" halogen compared to this Osram. The WhiteVision is definitely the best road legal "white" halogen.

I took your advice and got White visions for all of the headlights in December and I love them.
@@m3rovingian Thank you very much! I guess I should aim the left headlight a bit more to the left then, to get two lightspots.
@@zacmich6472 See if the bulb is correctly in place. I don't thing you can adjust it on the horizontal axis :))
@@m3rovingian It can, it has a screw, but it's fiddly and the screwdriver they advise to use scrapes the plastic. I'll try it in the evening and turn it by hand or with a T-wrench

Hello. Get Philips WhiteVision 3700k and you will not regret it. All the best there in the Land Down Under!

Philips WhiteVision.
i
have a 2003 Grand Am 3.4L v6 problem with my headlights i have HID lights with Can-Bus Ballasts the problem that i am having is the when the lights are shinning on the wall or ground it is impossible to adjust cause my head lights has a center piece that is open in the center and i have noticed on the standard halogen bulb has a painted end on the bulb where they work fine but not bright enough so i decided to go with the HID and then noticed that the end of the bulb has no painted end on the tip or chrome so my problem is how do i fix this the lights are shinning everywhere but cannot adjust and has big shadows on the ground and on the wall my reflector center piece has no chrome tip is there away that i can make a reflector to make the lights shine better look up the headlights and you can see what i mean about the open center reflector.

Hope you're doing well!
m3rovingian
I am trying my best, day after day...:) I dont think it has something to do with the mechanics, mine are installed by the same garage, and they are clearly having a wider beam than my previous Philips, which were an older model, with + 30 % light ....!

Thank you very much for the quick answer!
Then I`ll take the Osram because they are the only ones which support H15.
Anytime! I'm glad for you. Hope you'll use them a long time!

I know but the Osram Cool Blue Intense are also available for the H15 socket.

I would prefer a brighter light and would prefer to go for the Philips H7s, but would it be a noticeable difference if I have dipped H7 Philips white vision and H15 Osram Cool Blue Dipped Beams?
If the Osram you have is Cool Blue intense, there will be no difference between them and Philips WhiteVision. Both look exactly the same, so feel free to get WhiteVision for the H7 fitting without a problem
m3rovingian thank you for your response. I am considering going for one of each now - when you say there's no difference between them. Are the Philips still brighter?
WhiteVision will be a bit better on the rain. But both have the same 1500 lumens, so they shine exactly the same
Hmm I see. Now money isn't the issue. So if you had a MK7 Golf. And need to upgrade your DRL H15 and your Dipped H7s, would you go both Osram Cool Blue Intense or Cool Blue Intense and White Vision both ?
In my case I don't have a lot of selection on bulbs because my projectors have an H9 bulbs. There is no Philips White Vision in H9. So for me it will be Osram Cool Blue Intense, Philips Blue Vision, Phillips Cool Blue Hyper plus or PIAA Xtreme White. Which one of these you recommend?

ok ty

Choose whichever you like best. If you wen't OSRAM with the halogens, get the same brand for the LEDs. Hope you'll like the way they look.
Ok thanks, I've just bought the Osram leds. Currently I have ebay leds at 6000k, which make the Osram Cool Blue Intense 4200k look a bit yellow together. I can't wait for the Osram 4000k leds to hopefully match and look great together.
Hope so too. Let me know how they will look, once they'll arrive. Take care!

Salut.
Am si eu cateva intrebari despre Philips White Vision.
Unde ar putea sa imi regleze farurile dup-aia?
Here are the links:

Hi, I like your videos keep up the good work. Since you have tried so many bulbs, what's is the one you prefer and that you would recommend ?
Hello. thank you for your appreciation.
Thank you very much for the help. I will keep it in mind. Greetings.

Thx
Anytime, fell free to ask me any other questions.
:) do you also prefer the whitevision against the osram cool blue intense bulps? Looking for a good light for my motorbike Honda SC44
FreeZatE If you don't mind spending just a bit more, the Philips WhiteVision would be the better choice, even by looking at the specs. So, yes. :)
ok thx ;)
I'm kind of disappointed, mine look yellow like the old bulbs I had. I bought the same osrams.
In that case only a Xenon Kit will please you. it's simply the way it is. You won't find a good halogen, with white crisp light, anywhere on the market.
On top Philips or osram
Philips WhiteVision is up and Osram Cool Blue Intense are on the lower footage. Have adnotations on.
nice video like !
Thank you so much for all you support!
I don't like yellow lights. I love xenon like lamps
Me 2
Yep, white vision all the way !......foarte, foarte folositoare videoclipurile tale !
Nu-i inteleg pe aia care dau dislike......
\o/
