I have the. 20 gauge version. It's the one that I mentioned a couple of days ago that I'd cut down & fashioned a pistol grip on. Easy to show-off firing one handed!
Got this in 20 had it since 1983 bought new by dad, so I wouldn’t carry my 1100 rem auto in 16. Still shots good and has never given me a second of trouble. God bless Heavy Metal crew and family 👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
Nice shotgun. I own one very similar to that. Single shot 12gauge mine is a full choke with the 3inch chamber. Its my go to for a turkey gun. And she set me back less then 100 bucks. Had it a long time. Great video Mr.Paul you must get all kinds of cool threw the door.
Hey Paul I got one of these in a 20 gauge I bought a couple years ago. I bought it at a local pawn and gun store. I saw it online for $125., so the next chance I had, I went down to the town next to me, put it on layaway. Now, I needed this shotgun like I needed a hole in the head, but that's beside the point. I couldn't have found a nicer single in that gauge, at that price. This jem looked like showroom new, knowing it was over 40 years old. The bore shined like a brand new nickle, the bluing was bout 99 percent and 0 scratches on the stock and fore end.. Whoever had his took really great care of it. As you know, there no ejector, but that's ok Not too many people want a single shot anymore, they want something that's faster. My father taught me and my brother on single 410 and he had a 12 gauge, both were Savage. When I turned 16, I got a 20 gauge Savage pump. I pasted it down to my kid who probally sold it, but I always remember the singles. Fellow at church handed me a Sears 20 single, only to find out it's a Winchester M37a.. It's in poor condition ( barrel needs some steel wool, stock needs refinishing, may need to brake it down). I locks up tight, breaks easily. That shotgun won't stay with you very long..
You just sold me on it. I'd never heard of this brand but I just saw one at a pawn shop today for $100. I ran across your video and now I'm going back to get it.
Mornin Paul. Like the video. I don't know why you bring it all the way to your shoulder when you never miss from the hip. Hahaha. Thanks for the video.
From what I could find out, these guns were imported and sold in the 70’s through the mid 80’s. Most were sold by chain stores such as K-Mart. They stopped importing them in the mid 80’s because sales declined when pump models could be had for the same price. FIE went bankrupt in 1990. CBC is still in business and they are currently best known for manufacturing Magtech ammunition.
Well now that was a interesting video and how can you possibly go wrong with a single shot you never have to worry about jamming or shooting up too much your ammo it's hard to overshoot with a single shot and that's what I started out with besides that I'm almost back to shooting more 12 gauge cuz I can find 12 gauge shells 20 gauge whatever I can walk into Walmart even and still buy shotgun shells so since I can't get anything else I guess I'll have to shoot shotguns.
Had a 20ga. I purchased back in the early 80s, imported to FLORIDA it was a good little single shot shotgun, took a few Cottontail, with it, but I ended up trading for a pump shotgun 🇺🇸🍂🐿
Hey paul Where are you gettin the old shotguns at ? Are people swapin em in ? People are stupid to let go of any shotgun, unless it's a pump or semi auto.
Nice gun. Recently got one of those with .22 hornet and .410 barrels. Hope I get to shoot them soon but finding ammo in those calibers is a pain in the but right now.
I have a 16 gauge, the little black plastic piece on the back of the forestock is falling apart, is there anywhere I can find replacement parts for these?
I have this exact same model. Haven't used it in about 20 years. Tried loading it up today and the damn thing got stuck, can't even push the trigger release or uncock it. You have any advice for me
@@HeavyMetalGuns LOL not a little, try the Remington 3" 1oz slug or the Winchester DoubleX 3" OOObuck shot and the Remington 3" copper plated #4 Turkeyload

Thanks Luke !!
I have Stevens model 9478 it looks just like that same trigger guard but mine's In the USA I bought it about 1980 Wonder if it's Is the same shotgun?
Cool, not sure .
Do they make slug barrels for that gun? I have one I have a Kmart breakaway 12 gauge shotgun with a with a shot barrel on it.
Not sure
@@HeavyMetalGuns where can I find out? Can I get a barrel made for it a slug barrel?
Can I get one made for this? Mines an actual Kmart 12 gauge single shot break away it’s not a CBC but it is a 12 gauge it looks just like it.
I shoot more slugs out of my full choke .410 barrel than shot shells. It’s my close range deer getter.
I have a 16 gauge, the little black plastic piece on the back of the forestock is falling apart, is there anywhere I can find replacement parts for these?
Try numrich
I made a replacement out of a solid chunk of Nylon. Or maybe it was Teflon? Anyway, my piece is now white.
I have this exact same model. Haven't used it in about 20 years. Tried loading it up today and the damn thing got stuck, can't even push the trigger release or uncock it. You have any advice for me
A good cleaning and lube
