Good thing Falin wasn't here. She would have created a spot-on Laios and Marcille. She might've made a slightly flawed Chillchuck, and her Senshi would have been a complete disaster. The absolute worst person to run into a shapeshifter would have to be Kabru. He is amazing at analyzing people, and all of the clones he made would have been flawless. Good thing Laios is so autistic!
Honestly Laios was the one who had the best true to life clones. The only details he tended to get wrong were the clothes which he didn't bother paying as much attention too.
They came out with manga strips for the bluray release, one of them being 'what if Kabru's party encountered the shapeshifter?' Kabru made quick work of the doppelgangers until it came down to the Kabru clones and the clones from his perception. Kabru's solution was to kill all the Kabrus and the one that leaves a body is the real one (they didn't do that but only the real Kabru would come up with that plan). For the Kabru-made clones, Kabru said he only knows so much but he doesn't know everything about his party, so they would have to do something unexpected. He suggested they all take off their clothes (obviously they did not take that well). They ended up playing a trivia game (and they probably all died)
Funnily enough, Laios' versions of each party members are surprisingly close to their real appearance, only very superficial stuff is what he forgets. Also, the Giant Laios is Marcille's memory of him, mainly due to their first meeting. Marcille thought he would just be a boyish version of Falin, but didn't expect him to look like that, that it left a very exaggerated impression.

I think the shape sifter is probably like a mixture of a raccoon dog and a fox. Since ancient times, it has been said that raccoon dogs and foxes can transform using leaves in Japan. So I think it was inspired from there.
I believe the “dog bear” is a tanuki. A real animal from Japan that has had a lot of folklore about it, including it being able to shapeshift. They are also sometimes called “Raccoon dogs” It could also be a Kitsune, a shapshifting monster that are often depicted as foxes with extra tails.

Funny fact that probably won't make to the show 'cause is an extra shot, but Laios and Falin really had a lot of dogs in their home back when they were kids. In the manga with side chaps on chikchuck or half foots in general giveaway is the copy is way to careless. For a shorter life race they have to literally be on their toes for signs of danger and book it. On top of that chikchuck explanations of being cautious and prepped helped backed this up.
That one Laios that isn't too big or cross-eyed is basicly Falin, if she were Laios. The face is extremely similar. And I don't think Laois looks that worse after years of exploring the dungeon. He certainly kept his optimism and enthusiasm.
8:26 Based on the Manga my guess from left to right is Marcille, Chilchuck, Senshi. The first one has falins face and personality as stated in the manga and Liaos probably reminds Marcille of her “bestie.” Chilchuck thinks everyone is stupid compared to him. And Senshi both respects Laios and has to literally look up to him because he’s a dwarf.
My Falin guess comes from page 205 of volume 6. Marcille accuses someone else of imagining Laios as Falin but I think she’s projecting and perhaps didn’t do it intentionally. Senshi hardly knew Falin and Chilchuck seems more likely to imagine Dumb Laios than one that has his old party members personality.

Not sure if anyone's explained it but Weird Laios, Chillchuck is kinda traumatized by Laios eating all things insanity, so he sees him as someone who would eat anything. Dwarves see humans as a bit effeminate, so that's why his version is cuter or boyish and Giant ass Laios is Marci, because she thought he'd look like Fallin when they were introduced and was shocked how much gruffer he looked compared to Fallin. Handsome Marci is a product of Senshi growing up hearing predjudice against elves. Meanwhile handsome Senshi is the product of haflings seeing dwarves as pinnacle of manlyiness lol.

The Dog Bark was hinted at because Falin stated that she admired him for that in Episode 8 in the Marcille Flashback.

from a side comic the creator made: the weird marcille was from senshi's mind because he's only ever heard bad rumors about elves. the marcille that belonged to chilchuck's mind had extra beautiful hair because chilchuck likes blondes.
Funny fact that probably won't make to the show 'cause is an extra shot, but Laios and Falin really had a lot of dogs in their home back when they were kids. Their dad would always take them both to choose a new puppy and they fought over who would name the new dog (this extra story is both funny and sad 'cause it gives background of their troubled relationship with the dad)

In the manga with side chaps on chikchuck or half foots in general giveaway is the copy is way to careless. For a shorter life race they have to literally be on their toes for signs of danger and book it. On top of that chikchuck explanations of being cautious and prepped helped backed this up.
That one Laios that isn't too big or cross-eyed is basicly Falin, if she were Laios. The face is extremely similar. And I don't think Laois looks that worse after years of exploring the dungeon. He certainly kept his optimism and enthusiasm.
8:26 Based on the Manga my guess from left to right is Marcille, Chilchuck, Senshi. The first one has falins face and personality as stated in the manga and Liaos probably reminds Marcille of her “bestie.” Chilchuck thinks everyone is stupid compared to him. And Senshi both respects Laios and has to literally look up to him because he’s a dwarf.
My Falin guess comes from page 205 of volume 6. Marcille accuses someone else of imagining Laios as Falin but I think she’s projecting and perhaps didn’t do it intentionally. Senshi hardly knew Falin and Chilchuck seems more likely to imagine Dumb Laios than one that has his old party members personality.

Dude saw his mutilated soul chimera sister and his first thought wasn't "Oh no...Falin..." it was "That's FUCKIN' RAD!!". He wanted to eat living armor BEFORE he knew they were mollusks, when he still thought they were just walking metal.

Not sure if anyone's explained it but Weird Laios, Chillchuck is kinda traumatized by Laios eating all things insanity, so he sees him as someone who would eat anything. Dwarves see humans as a bit effeminate, so that's why his version is cuter or boyish and Giant ass Laios is Marci, because she thought he'd look like Fallin when they were introduced and was shocked how much gruffer he looked compared to Fallin.
Handsome Marci is a product of Senshi growing up hearing predjudice against elves. Meanwhile handsome Senshi is the product of haflings seeing dwarves as pinnacle of manlyiness lol.

And just like we don't naturally pick up neurotypical cues, neurotypical brains don't naturally pick up our cues either. Thus, it takes a bit more effort than usual to learn to understand each other. It's fascinating how intricate and complex psychology can actually be, that there's so many more things people do subconsciously than what they can perceive about themselves and others, that other people may know you in ways you can't easily wrap your head around or even figure out that exist on your own, and viceversa, and yet you hear it and you go, "yeah, that makes sense. I _would_ do that."
